........@ keir, i think you made out like a bandit, enjoy man.....how is that switch, what kind of build ect, pm me and tell me all about it cause i wanna know

Thanks for asking that question. I was kind of wondering myself. My question now is for those people saying they pull it off the charger at 4.1 V. How the heck do you know when it has hit that level seeing as how you cannot hit the buttons and check when it is on the charger? I feel like I am missing something painfully obvious here. And how would you know if it had 'just' hit that level as opposed to just about bumping up to 4.2? Is it just a matter of pulling i off the charger randomly until you see 4.1, take note of how long that took depending on the voltage it was at when you first started and then winging it after that?
I can check the ohm and battery meters several times while mine is charging without unplugging it. I usually charge it when it gets to 3.7, then charge it to 4.2 and unplug it before the light goes out. The meter reads 4.2 for a little while before it stops charging. If I stop charging when it hits 4.1 it drops to 3.9 pretty fast then stays at 3.8-3.9 for a while. If I go to 4.2 without completely charging it lasts a good bit longer and stays above 3.9 for a while. Most battery meters in devices aren't very accurate anyway. Charging at 3.7/when the light turns yellow is probably more beneficial than not charging completelyYou can check it once when it is on charge. Then you have to unplug it and check it and then plug it back in and you get one check again. Frankly, for a forty dollar device, the possibility all that messing around giving me what? A couple more weeks maybe a month on the life of the device? Not worth all the messing around to me. I plug it in at night and take it off in the morning and I am always good to go.
My only gripe is that it is difficult to hold while shifting gears when driving. This is a very minor gripe,
Thanks a lot.Bit scared, I will look for a padded case for a bit of protection if it ever happens again.
Wow... a P. Opus sighting. I still laugh when I think of that pic with the LVT in the toilet bowl...classic!
What up Ope...I dont hate anyone, especially Provari owners. I am hoping the 2's go on sale when the 3's come out, I want one as I only run my Kayfun at 3.7-3.8 volts on a 1.3ohm build and love it.
Just got my first order from 101vape and MAN was that fast. Ordered a Tugboat copper clone ( on sale for $11.99, down from 29.99 ) on Monday about 3PM and it was here to Tampa today! Will be ordering more from them for sure.
Vape on my MVP family![]()
So! I have received my MVP2 from SnailTech at last, and it's fantastic. I've got my brain around the buttons etc, and I'm very happy with it.
*context* - I've been using 2 x Ovale Elips and 1 x Ovale eGo CC for nearly a year.
However - I have a question.... It came with an iClear 30, and because I read that these were a bit dubious, I also ordered 2 x Protank 3 mini's.
After 24 hours of use, I find the iClear 30 is amazing - loads of vapour, loads of flavour (or "vapor" and flavor" if you prefer), but the PT3 mini's are both quite disappointing... I suspect it's because they have 1.5 ohm coils. I have ordered some 2.5 ohm coils, but does anyone know if this could be the problem?
The Ovale eGo CC tank, by the way, on the MVP2 is really good as well - though I'm getting better flavour from the iClear 30.
Have also tried the PT3 mini's on the Ovale eGo battery with same results.
I'm using 100% VG menthol (and a sweetish tobacco) juices.
Thanks in advance - just to be clear, the MVP2 itself is brilliant... also it sits upright without wobbling!
Just in case anyone is curious:
The other day when I went to the B&M I did finally find some BVC coils for the Nautilus. This of course was after I had told my DH that I would give him the Nautilus. Since then he has been in vaping heaven and still on the first BVC coil with no issues at all. So the problems where the ****** BDC coils. While there might have been a bit of disappointment, at first on my part, I now realise that he is better off with the Nautilus than I. I probably would have broken it soon anyways because I am a klutz. I have tried it with the BVCs after he filled it up and yes it does hit like a freight train. The flavour is better than his carto tanks but I can't say the flavour is more intense or better than the 30S's I've been using. I am back to using IC30S's again, and well, I'm satisfied. I get a good vape off of them and they can withstand my abuse. There are times when I shouldn't have "nice" things.
And while he didn't want an MVP because he can't get past the squareness, he did buy a VV V3 and is loving that as well!
Thought I killed my MVP last night put a new i30 head in it and nothing nada zilch checked the ohm reading got 0.0 so put my nautilus on and bang working again phew.. Put another replacement head into i30 reading 2.2 thought cool left it to soak overnight used it for an hour and not amused nothing but burnt taste in my mouth I really really hate these i30's with a passion took 3 weeks to get it to vape right and now 2 out of the 5 replacements I got are useless lol
I know this isn't the place to vent about this but it's hurting my mvp Vaping experience been happy for 2 weeks with the taste and flavour I was getting lol reckon I might just give up the i30 as a bad experience and use the nautilus (which is awesome anyway)
I am with you on the i30. I've just never gotten the hang of it, but there are gobs of folks out here who swear by them. Give me a simple EVOD (with my own coil and wick of course!) and I'm a happy camper. I figure over the weekend, I'll play with my kayfuns to see what trouble I can get myself into (might even try that vertical coil build that folks are talking about.) Since I'm not doing anything crazy with ohms, the MVP is a monster for me.... Gotta love it, even if finding the right topper becomes a new quest![]()

Hmmm.. vertical coils on the kayfuns are better than regular? Id be curious as to the reasons whyGo for the vertical Dinger...you can do it

Im about to roll a new coil tonight (though of course as usual, I dont need to), so maybe ill give that a shot.
If you want a no hassle great vape thats almost gauranteed, get one of the following:Love the MVP hate the toppers lol even with instructions I just know I would fail at building my own coils and wicks I mean it once took me 2 days to put a cot together Nautilus mini will just have to become my all day use all the time tank lol
Shame about the 30 tho this past week before I needed to do the replacement it was banging out some fantastic cloud and flavour

I'm too chicken. I get the guys at my B&M to build on my drippers. Still on my original 28ga 1.3 build I did back in April on my KFL n MVP combo.
When this one finally goes, I will get up the nerve to try one

We basically had the same path. Started on Protank 2 heads, and now Im of course winding my kayfun/russian. Have you noticed any draw changes when changing the amount of coil wraps? Ive noticed with 30 gauge I have to stick to 1.5 ohms 6 wraps or else the draw gets real tight. No flavor wick, cotton, just barely enough wick- doesnt change it unless I wrap less wraps. Russian doesnt have this problem, so I can wind 2 ohm coils with 30 gauge and still get an airy draw..Building coils is easy-peasy! I'm not pushing any limits - keeping them all about 1.8-2.1Ω I have large hands (for a girl) and need more than my bifocals to "really" see up close and personal (I know, get one of those lighted magnifying thingies....) I started on my kanger heads and then got brave enough for kayfuns. My coils are gorgeous, but I'm still figuring out my wicking on the kayfuns. Kangers - have yet to have any problems other than not enough wick a couple of times, so it was a little leaky.
@Keir - yeah buddy, I'm hoping that by packing the wicking material AROUND the coil I may stave off those dreaded dry-hits! I'll take pics!

@herb- I see. Yeah, ill have to look up some wicking configs for a vertical coil and see what gets good reviews. I would think it would have to be very high off the airhole and have the wick coming between the hole and coil (so that air pulls jooze up through the wick). Will be a fun experiment. Like you, I spend too much time trying different coils![]()
