Too much electronics in the ego for my liking.
Sure, boost circuits, current limiters, temp control, Lipo batteries are all fun.
But at the end of the day I just go with simple, little to break stuff.

there’s electronics in an ego… ? :D

a pleasant surprise for me, has been the Kanger EVOD Mega battery
1900mah / regulated 3.7V output / flush top / USB charge / 103mm x 19m / cheap
kinda like a mech…
just building some 1.4Ω – 1.6Ω coils and, It Just Works (very happy)

Yep. You didn't think that 5-click on/of thing was mechanical did you?
or the low voltage cut off? Or the short protection?

And then there was the advance version with regulated output (user selectable)
then the variable voltage versions and built in charging w/ pass through.

But even the simplest ins had a lot of electronics between the battery and the coil.

Just picked up some Aspire ET-S BDC glass clearomizers today. My last two I16 clearomizers were both leaking. I thought I would give these a whirl on my MVP2, (and also my VV3). Having done little reading of them, I was kind of going in blind. (I was intending to pick up some more I16s and my B&M store was out.).
Having used this all day today, I have to say I am really enjoying the vape I am getting from this clearomizer.
Have any of you guys used this? I know they've been out a while. I'd be interested in how some of you liked these if you've been using them long term. How well does the glass hold up? I've never used a glass clearomizer before. While I never drop my equipment, I've been known to knock them over. Are they pretty sturdy?
Any info/advice about your experience with them would be welcomed.
Thanks!

Aspire ET-S BDC

I was pretty hot-n-heavy with those ET (& ET-S) for awhile
got them for my wife who is TUFF AS NAILS on all equipment
(breaks 510 conn, loses drip tips, smashes glass, etc)
they’re tuff little buggers, fix’d mouthpiece, sturdy ego threading

you need to be sure to use the BVC (not BDC) coils though (BIG DIFF)

I then adapted the old metal tubes (tank) from vivi novas and made
a very durable topper tank… (they fit perfect)

I started to rebuild the BVC coils, converting them into single, horizontal coils…
inside instead of the cotton wrap around, I substituted SS mesh and it worked great

I’ve since moved on to another style (for her) and abandoned the ET’s
they were awesome while I used them…

The puff counter on my MVP 3.0 stopped working last night. It still fires and displays the ohms, wattage, and voltage. Could I have accidentally turned off the puff counter somehow? I've tried different tanks on it and my PRO, so I know it's not the coil. I don't really care about the puff counter as I don't use it anyway. I just want to make sure the darn thing isn't going to blow up in my hand. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

hmmm, that seems rather odd…

so you HOLD BOTH BUTTONS , then what ??
you see Ω (monitor) and battery life remain (v)
and NO READOUT where the Puff Counter ‘should’ be ??

just for the record; the puff counter is just a Tally Counter
that just counts how many times you pushed the Fire Button…

it resets (back to “0”) each time the device is turned off/on (3clk)

how old is it ?

MIGHT be a glitch that requires service and leading to more troubles... ?
make the decision to contact vendor you bought from (sooner than later)

who's to say if it would cause trouble ? (I'd think not)

Ok, guess I was incorrectly referring to it as the puff counter. It's actually the "drag timer". When you fire and it counts the seconds, that is what went away. It just shows the wattage like if I wasn't firing it, but it still fires. The display doesn't change at all when firing. It's maybe 2 months old.

OK then, the duration timer
can't say I know anything about that...

I've never heard of a way to turn it off (if even by mistake or not)

you said about 2 months old (from where?)
Innokin has a 90-DAY WARRANTY

might want to get-a-move on taking some action / inquiries

I don't think I ever had a drag timer on my MVP3... or if I did, I never noticed. I actually had to look on mine, and, no, I don't have one.

LOL, well you got my curiosity up so I skimmed several video reviews on the MVP (30w)

and sure-as-shooting the MVP Pro (60w) HAS a Vape Timer,
BUT, the MVP (30w) DOES NOT have a Vape Timer

kinda ODD that Innokin did that...

ps: Innokin web site no longer even shows the MVP 3.0 on their site
only the MVP Pro ( & kit)

yepper, had to look at that carefully...
