are you sure the coil failed and it’s not just a connection issue
there is two coils in there, funny both failed (non)
you have an adapter or another battery to TRY

(DON'T over tighten it trying ! )
Paul speaks the truth about tuff to recoil those...

- iClear 30 Replacement 16-Wick Atomizer Head 5-Pack - VapingME.com
- Innokin - iClear 30 Coils ( 5 pc. ) - D&A Distribution

Once I discovered that replacement coils would only cost me $2 a piece I threw in the towel. Maybe I could restore it with some tinkering, but I wouldn't want to waste the liquid on a long-shot. The wicks are brown and ugly looking. I had a coffee flavor juice in it before.

Thanks for the encouragement anyway.

I have some of both type coils but I have never rebuilt the duals. I wonder if it is same as others?

sure can, plenty of peeps do it, maybe a little tricky
kanger sit parallel / others sit crossed
then there is the “ nr-r-nr “ aspect of it…
I myself take the bdc, rip out the guts, and convert them to single (bcc)

- $4.62 Authentic Kanthal Nichrome Pre-made Welded Wires - NR-R-NR (100-Pack) 100-pack - 0.2mm*95m / 1.7ohm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
- $4.73 Authentic Kanthal Pre-Made Wire-and-Wick for RBA (50-Pack) 50-pack - NR-R-NR / 1.7ohm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

what I was saying is the i30 & MVP are notorious for connection problems (non)
so before ya gave up hope on your newly cleaned coil/tank maybe
try it on another battery just to see if it works…
can’t hurt nuthin…

I dunno puf. Beg to differ here. To be sure, lotta connect probs with the MVP but that's due to the notorious pin mess.

But never had a connect problem on another mod with an i30.

that's kinda what I was saying, perhaps OP 's i30 and MVP weren't playing nice together

and to try i30 on another to see if it works

just thought it was a little funny BOTH his coils threw a (NON) reading on MVP

don't know if OP has any other batteries to try, but like I said - worth a try :)

If you CAN you are very lucky. Most people can't even get them apart without destroying them. Kanger got smart to folks rebuilding the old single coils and 'fixed' the newest design..

As it, the dual in that picture is already like 4 generations old (that's the original dual coil). The wicks don't even stick out anymore.. Good luck finding those old ones for sale still.

The old style Manger duals are a piece of cake to rebuild as a single oval coil. I'm not at my computer right now or I'd post a link, just search Aerotank coil rebuild on YouTube and there is a great tutorial on how to do it with a 3/16" zip tie and cotton/rayon...

So I can rebuild the old style Kanger PT3 coils like a PT2 as long as I have the old style coils? I think I do because I bought my PT3 when it first came out and bought a box of extra coils, I have 5 and they all have the taller body (not chimney but body)

Yep, they're the same coil as an Aerotank and I've rebuilt my Aerotank heads this way. In fact, I prefer the oval coil method to the new duall coils... The new duals have been about as inconsistent for me as the Aspire BDCs were...

Those pre made wire & wick look a bargain

the equivalent in the UK cost me £6.00 ( about 10 bucks )
