I understand the shifting gears thing too but I've found you get used to ot I dont even notice anymore lol

Maybe. While I do have long fingers I do still have small hands over all. I do like pufZepplin's idea to use a cellphone holder and lanyard. That way when one of the many people on the road decide to become brake happy I can just drop it and not have to worry about it. So far I've just been tossing it in the passenger seat when required, but I know that will be a habit my DH will not care for when he's in the car with me. :D I'm also one of those that likes resting my hand on the shifter. I got in the habit of that because... well, if you've ever driven in Detroit and/or any of it's surrounding suburbs you'll understand. :p

I do still have some older pen styles too. They may get regulated just for driving. I'm still willing to give pufZepplin's idea a good ole try though.

I agree that its a pain while shifting. A cig is easier.. until you need to put it out or flick the ashes off. Dropping an ecig is no big deal though- dropping a cig is an immediate disaster that requires pulling over, and making VERY sure the damn cherry hasnt started a fire smoldering somewhere. Ecigs also dont burn seats :D

Heres something else too- smoking a cig on a motorcycle is impossible. Maybe at a long light, but when riding they burn out too fast and are impossible with a full face helmet. An ecig and a lanyard? Done. Get cruising down the highway with noone around? Pull it out, and take a few vapes :vapor:

The Nautilus Mini is finally here. I'm still not completely sold on it, but we'll test it. Used to big tanks it's a munchkin on the MVP...

I was wondering what is the life-span of an MVP V2 battery? Any performance drops over time? I'm looking for the amount of time in days(or Month/Years:). This is all assuming that it is being well taken care of like charging before it turns yellow, cleaning contacts, not dropping it etc.

Missed yer post at first... The general consensus seems to be that you can plan on a year with heavy use. There are people here who have had their MVP V1 for 2 years and it still works great. Like any other battery powered device, the battery will degrade as time goes on. Thing is, the MVP 2 has such insane battery life to begin with, you will prolly see at least a year before it becomes really noticeable.

Ive only been vaping mine for about 3-4 months now, and it is my ONLY vaping device (have 4 toppers- go figure); I use it everyday and I have yet to notice any depreciation in battery life.

The general consensus is to not run it completely dead every time, though doing so every once in a while wont net any negative result. I charge mine when it hits 3.7, and I take it off the charger when its at 4.1. Sometimes I run it lower, sometimes I let it fully charge, but thats basically my approach.

Its a great device, provides a great vape (as smooth as a Provari), has no batteries or chargers to futz with, it can take a beating, it has an ohm checker, and has enough juice to get you through the day. Even if you move on to the more powerful devices later, its a great backup. Plenty of the more powerful devices have problems due to the power they push, and the MVP can be there when that happens.

No regrets here :D

I would add it's beefy enough to take in a Kayfun and other rebuildables nicely without the need of a tube mod...

Wow... a P. Opus sighting. I still laugh when I think of that pic with the LVT in the toilet bowl...classic!

What up Ope...I dont hate anyone, especially Provari owners. I am hoping the 2's go on sale when the 3's come out, I want one as I only run my Kayfun at 3.7-3.8 volts on a 1.3ohm build and love it.

:offtopic:

Just got my first order from 101vape and MAN was that fast. Ordered a Tugboat copper clone ( on sale for $11.99, down from 29.99 ) on Monday about 3PM and it was here to Tampa today! Will be ordering more from them for sure.

Vape on my MVP family ;)

So! I have received my MVP2 from SnailTech at last, and it's fantastic. I've got my brain around the buttons etc, and I'm very happy with it.

*context* - I've been using 2 x Ovale Elips and 1 x Ovale eGo CC for nearly a year.

However - I have a question.... It came with an iClear 30, and because I read that these were a bit dubious, I also ordered 2 x Protank 3 mini's.

After 24 hours of use, I find the iClear 30 is amazing - loads of vapour, loads of flavour (or "vapor" and flavor" if you prefer), but the PT3 mini's are both quite disappointing... I suspect it's because they have 1.5 ohm coils. I have ordered some 2.5 ohm coils, but does anyone know if this could be the problem?

The Ovale eGo CC tank, by the way, on the MVP2 is really good as well - though I'm getting better flavour from the iClear 30.

Have also tried the PT3 mini's on the Ovale eGo battery with same results.

I'm using 100% VG menthol (and a sweetish tobacco) juices.

Thanks in advance - just to be clear, the MVP2 itself is brilliant... also it sits upright without wobbling!

The best ohms for the MVP (and for overall VV vaping) is 1.8 to 2.1 ohms. Those will deliver the best TH and vapor all over. For 100% VG get the new design Aerotank heads, maybe you'll benefit more from those instead of the regular heads.

I've been using mine for almost a year and notice no difference in the battery.
I charge it when it gets down to 3.8, then charge a talk at 4.1 or the green light goes off.
There's some interesting theories out there on when and how to charge the batteries on the MVP.
I am loving the mine!!!

Yeah I took my 2 MVP's out and stretched their legs a bit. I love them for travelling because you don't need to futz with chargers, and extra batteries and all that jazz. They fire my Kayfuns brilliantly and despite owning two ProVari's I still consider the MVP2 the best bang for your buck in the vaping world. Nowhere do you get so much for so little.

But that being said, my ProVari mini rarely leaves my side. A Kayfun and ProVari is positively sublime.

Thanks for asking that question. I was kind of wondering myself. My question now is for those people saying they pull it off the charger at 4.1 V. How the heck do you know when it has hit that level seeing as how you cannot hit the buttons and check when it is on the charger? I feel like I am missing something painfully obvious here. And how would you know if it had 'just' hit that level as opposed to just about bumping up to 4.2? Is it just a matter of pulling i off the charger randomly until you see 4.1, take note of how long that took depending on the voltage it was at when you first started and then winging it after that?

You can check it once when it is on charge. Then you have to unplug it and check it and then plug it back in and you get one check again. Frankly, for a forty dollar device, the possibility all that messing around giving me what? A couple more weeks maybe a month on the life of the device? Not worth all the messing around to me. I plug it in at night and take it off in the morning and I am always good to go.

Great to see ya around our forum again bro. You are a great contributor of vaping knowledge.

Was at my B&M tonite and swapped my IPV 2 for this Authentic Copper Flagship mech mod with the Tobeco Tug clone. Had to drill the holes a bit for a good toot ;)

But my KFL is firmly attached to my MVP until that ( inevitable ) Provari purchase.

Super glued a key ring on for lanyard use. Vape and ride bro!
