Don't go down that road , you will regret it . Trust me , i went down that road and the MVP still dominates , your not really missing anything except more $$ out of your pocket .

Besides that thing is much less manly than the rugged and tough as nails appearance of the MVP , the MVP would whoop that imposter's a_ _..

guess that's what holding me back...

haha, that should our slogan in here
MVP, street Brawler` ~ can take on all comers (never lost yet)

Thank you for the welcome! I have been lurking & learning on this thread for a while.
I'm sure I will have some noob MVP questions and now I know exactly where to go. So far I am just messing around with it to learn what I like, seems like it's pretty easy to use
which is perfect for me. I like that it is smaller than I anticipated, and seems really solid. So far, very happy with my purchase!

good deal !

we love to answer "Q"

just don’t over tighten your toppers, start lower power, work your way up
about all there is to it – it just “gets it done”

:)

A screw would work, but I do mine by hand.. You do need to 'unlearn' wrapping the coils so close though

haha – I watched a video (many moons ago) of a guy using a ‘screw’
to wrap coils, looked real pretty and seemed very consistant –
well that’s it, I LIKE THAT TECHNIQUE, should work great for me…

LOL, when you see the size of the screw that will fit into a bcc coil base WOW !
then if ya do try it, good luck finding one with any length to hold
I’m sticking with the toothpick method ...

:)

I was thinking of this more for the kayfuns, rather than the EVODs. I'm quite pleased with my EVOD coils - (knocking on wood) no troubles whatsoever. with them.

So, I guess this weekend will be another attempt at a build. Got a mini that I think I'll try. With spacing, I may not need as many wraps, so I might try this one at 32g

Thanks to all for taking the time to indulge me. Appreciate y'all :)

pretty much all my coils are the same (apprx 2mm)

5/64" / 32ga / spaced / 4,5,6 wraps / RDA, Kayfun, bcc, top coil

sorta how it evolved for me

just how it all got steered toward me, then bonus I like it and works great, for me...

:)

Is he trying to say the 2nd one he bought is the clone? 'Cause its actually the real thing, other than having a RED led ... I dont know what the black one is.

Not sure. I just wanted to give you folks a heads up in case they start mass producing inferior MVP clones.. Didn't think they'd clone the MVP, but they did so to the 134.

This thread needs more pictures. My mvp with kayfun clone, 2.4mm coil diameter 8-9 wraps about 1.8 1.9 ohms puffin on some unicorns blood
It's my go to work setup. Can throw it in my harness pouch, beat it off towers, it's made it through a few rain storms, and dropped it from 60ft one time, killed my tank but the mvp is still going strong

    Im somewhere in there

I (just moved on to a new indoor job) worked at a golf course (Top 100 Public, Forest Dunes) and had to work rain or shine. I put my MVP through A LOT of rain and wetness, still holding strong.

Now If I can just find some coils for my protank 2 and mini 2 that will last me more then 10 days, I'd be happy

Rebuild the protank coils its not too hard. Hell if I can do sure u can and as long as u wick it right ur good. I had a few problems wicking my coil tonight which I've done alot no problems just wasn't doing good tonight. But honestly since I started building my own coils this was the first problem I've had. Im on my second coil after a month of use. Just rewick about every ten days or so or when the flavor is gone. I use organic cotton its really easy I swear. [emoji2]

    @ hey PaulBHC
wow remember we talked of placing tubing inside to fill the gap
well I finally got around to doing it, and it is fabulous…
5/16” rubber fuel line, same size (height) as a silicone cup washer
`Perfecto’ – couldn’t cut with snips (distorted) so shaved it with a razor
no need to buy dual coil/then wrap as singles anymore…
    :D

I was also looking at using kanger single coil heads in Aspire tanks. I used some oxygen tubing but it has 3 ribs inside for rigidity and distorted the roundness when placed on the chimney. It did work however. Since then I had luck with rebuilding the Aspire heads with rayon so gave up on the project.

yepper, works like a champ !

with snips, as it squeezed it to cut, not a perfect edge

so I shaved it with a razor blade and presto

I used vacuum/fuel hose so if it holds up to gasoline
should be good in a tank of e juice

sometimes the simplest things work best...
