I remember 35 cents a pack. We would walk into a little country bar called The Viaduct (because it was next to a railroad overpass). One of my cohorts would buy them from the bartender. I remember one of the customers saying "You better tie your pant legs shut cuz you're gonna s*** your pants". Never understood that.

Back in 1977 they weren't as cheap as all that in Western MA. for sure. A carton price at a gas station would run about $15-$17 when first starting and over time of course during the mid 80s carton prices were averaging $33+ 10yrs. later. What saw the prices doubled fast enough was the introducation of the $0.50 a pack cig tax by the state during the early90s and just last year back in March try adding about $1.50 more to the half buck with the Gov. proposing an ecig tax that got shot down by the start of this year. The insurance companies that bought up the state love ecigs since they don't have to pay out as much $$$$ on health care costs!

I suppose that's the one and only type of corporate interests that want you to be well! Big Pharma doesn't! And Big T only will care about their cig size rejects selling!

Due to my current addiction to parallel coil 0.6 ohm builds in my magma my MVP is getting no love at all from me and the new 20watt won't either I need a bit more I hope the v3 gives me what I need

Oh and merry Xmas and happy new year everyone

merry new yr to you also my friend!

with the 20 watt MVP & the Magma, you ought to try a build between 1 ohm to about 1.5 with 28ga kanthal or 28 ga Nichrome80....the Nichrome80 heats quicker than kanthal around 15 watts or so and you should get an excellent vape......

Another place selling them for <$30. Good find... they are out of stock right now, but they have an email alert service for them :)

Been finding the MVP 2.0 for $25 at times as well as the Shine edition for $35- since the new 20w is out and the vendors are looking to "dump the old for the new"! The MVP here is going to be packed away once the next 50w mod arrived since I need a place in the mod stand that is in for either the ECig V9 on the way sometime or the DovPo E-LVT 30w once I open up the mod slot a bit more with a dremel which won't need much taken off to simply see the DovPo slide right down into place. The other mod will replace the VTR's slot there since the VTR has it's own carrying case to go into.

Have been looking at that Nichrome stuff wasn't sure if I should try it or not but may as well lol

Going to wait and see what the V3 is before I buy the 20watt

Plus I have Plume Veil on its way

I just caved and ordered a 20W.

At the Beastly price of $35.95 delivered, I just couldn't refuse. If I really like the V3, I'll PIF the 20 W and get a V3 anyway.

well I feel ya brother, (look down at the other end of the boat)

I’m close to caving also due to the fact current MVP is getting long in the tooth

and, I just wanna check out the new 32-bit ARM microprocessor… :D

mine seems to be working just dandy, but ya never know

I have plenty of ‘backup’ , but couldn’t imagine life if MVP stopped !

20 watts is all you'll need, plus it's built better then the istick and uses a good accurate chip

hey now, that's a BIG PLUS then

2.5 down to ½ (nice job !)

it will come for ya

all of a sudden, you just WON'T

the stinkies will taste yuk-o and you'll stop (simple)

it'll happen, trust me

:)

What I did...
I never promised to quit. I did promise that any time I wanted a smoke, I would first vape for ten minutes, and then if I still wanted a smoke, I would. It took about 4-5 days til I stopped smoking. The whole urge thing to smoke came and went for maybe a month or so. One day I broke the drip tip on my Billet Box, and bought a pack, smoked 5-7 of em before I got home. Went back to vaping (making sure to carry spare parts) and here I am, smoke-free after 30+ years 2pad, sometimes 3pad.

As I understand it it's the way the istick is calibrated for lack of a better word. It uses a mean output so the volts shown are achieved by an average of differing strength signals.

The 20W will replace my current misbehaving V2b that replaced the V2a that died and unnatural death to a fall that replace my Vl that took a swim.

Ya don't have to sell me on the box. Read my banner :)

Although I like the form factor of the stick, that is the only thing that I can really find admirable in it. I think I would kill one of those within a week.

Doesn't matter what the iStick uses or displays, a choppy signal will not give as good a vape as a smooth signal.

yepper, it doesn’t really matter
no matter how you hash it out, the chip output signal
is not getting it done as some would like…

cute, claims, price ; doesn’t always = good

we'll just have to see how long they last (still pretty new)
but there is a lot of reviews in already...

if they threw a free one in with every purchase of an MVP
then I could go for that...

:)

that's about the only way to go about it

just let it come to you, you'll know when the switch takes place

some try OH SO HARD to convert, NOW !

get good gear, some good juice and allow it to happen - it will :)

That depends on what you are running as far as tanks go! With the Atlantis I run those anywhere from 20w upto 30w on average or more at times depending on what goes in. For the pair of iSticks here I initially ran the Smok Tumblers on those and at first had to keep everything down at the lowest since the vapor was too hot! I swapped out coils on the first tank and replaced the tank but still the same until after the first full recharge came up. That was the first of the two and not seen since.

Hardwares can play the most important role besides the tanks and what goes in! When first starting off the disposables and prefilled cig size wasn't going to cut it but didn't know back then what I do now! I went the first six months into 2013 knowing when once I got into some better 1.6ml clearomizers as well as some Twists and a Spinner. The quit of smoke was much easier by then having already cut way back to only 3 packs a week from just over a half pack a day.

Even before that came I was already vaping with 0% nicotine since I put to the test what a then brand new eliquids vendor was finding that with or without didn't seem to make any difference what's so ever! The only thing found to be effected was often just a simple change in the flavor which is less by a small percentage as well as how the flavors vaped usually a bit warmer with nicotine present compared to vaping the exact without. Once you have grown accustomed to vaping the nicotine actually becomes far removed where it simply becomes an option not a necessity.
