There is no "right" to wander about telling people what to do just because you feel like doing so.
Yeah, I have.
Anyone has a right to tell a smoker that their smoking is bothering them because they don't like the smell. Same for vaping.
Just like someone has a right to ask another person to turn down their music if they are blasting it out of, say, portable speakers hooked up to a smart phone.
When I vape in public places I make sure they allow it, then I blow my vapor down and if I realize it gets carried over to other people I move downwind from them. If I cannot vape in a public area without bothering other people then I simply don't vape.
I don't "stealth vape". My device is in plain view and I use it in plain view, I don't hide nor will I ever, but I use it in such a way that no one can complain.
Smoking makes clouds, clouds have a smell and a taste that is annoying to most people.
Vaping makes clouds, clouds have a smell and a taste that is annoying to most people.
Vaping indoors in the presence of non-smokers/non-vapers is just as annoying as smoking indoors. It has nothing to do with the toxicity of the product. It's just really annoying to smell what you're vaping from 20 feet away. The fact that it looks like you are smoking is only the catalyst, not the essence of the issue.
Some people express it more aggressively than others but only vapors are bringing it upon themselves and crying about it.
Vaping indoors in the presence of non-vapers/non-smokers is the same as smoking indoors in the

Vaping does not suddenly grant you brand new rights to annoy everyone.
On one hand someone can tell me courtesy goes a long way, and in the next paragraph, the same person tells me vaping in public areas should be perfectly fine because some people "look annoying" or "dress in ways that annoy others."
This guy wants to enlighten me about "rights".
Yeah, I have.

She was vaping in places where vaping was permitted! If the asshats in the bar did not like it then they should have gone to a bar that does not permit vaping inside.
You're going to great lengths to misunderstand, and misrepresent, me. I'm quite impressed.
Having smoked 50+ years, maybe I can give you a perspective of what use to be back when there were no smoking bans anywhere.Women did not smoke while walking or on the street. I never saw anyone smoking in a grocery or a department store......nor in church or in a classroom or on school property. Of course, the elementry and high schools did have a ban against smoking. However, you could smoke on college campus and the student union, but saw no one smoked in class.
You could smoke on planes. They had ashtrays inset in the arms of the seat. You could smoke in bars and restaurants. Could even smoke in hospital waiting rooms and in your own room. My oldest daughter's first doctor smoked in the examination room! I didn't, but did in the waiting room.
My point is that there were no signs anywhere that said "no smoking." During this time where about half of the adult population smoked there seemed to be a certain etiquette followed. No one sat me down to tell me where and when to smoke. Just observation.
Ran this by hubby who's several years older than me and has always been a non-smoker for any correction in what I remember. Got it right so far. Is anybody else old enough to add to this?
I respectfully disagree with you. I am younger than you based upon your 50 years of smoking comment...
Woman did walk around smoking, As well as people smoking in schools. I had several teachers in Elementary school who smoked in the classroom and one of them was pregnant! The principal smoked in his office. This would have been the mid 70's
People smoked in grocery stores all the time. Right up until the 80's
listen, I get those of you who smoke big and thick vapers and want to toss out thick as hell vapes, like a cigar, but you guys are going to cost the rest in the eyes of the ignorant. I plea to you to not use .... type vapers too much in public.
the way I see it in the future:
we will be limited to e-cig alikes with heavily limited suppliers
or complete bans unless its big tobacco ran.
which do you want to be part of? look, im not against you guys who want to toss out cigars level of smoke, but many people don't understand nor want to. to them, we are bypassing tobaccos laws. they see vape and they assume smoke, and can hurt their babies. STOP IT. we need to stay under the radar, and push our cause, it'll take long time but its in OUR BEST INTEREST.
our nation, the US is in too much political issues we'd be one of the easier ban if we continue. lets keep under radars
if they ban vaping ill quit because my life will depend on the ... GOVT. yours might not but mine will. im against those who wish to vape and toss up so thick vapes that it causes non smokers to caugh. our right does not surpass those who don't smoke. and I'd never agree to it. to me, it be like saying/fighting for automatic guns and IEDS. I will never support it.
You heavy smokers want to ruin it for us non heavy smokers like its your assault rifles and I will never back you on it. Stick to e-cgs for public use or get it GONE.
Ok...
Manners, courtesy and common sense are always in order - no matter where you are.
Speaking of which...attacking posters, making snide comments...not gonna have it here...cut it out
I graduated from high school in 1990 & there was a smoking section for students and another for teachers. Students weren't allowed to smoke in class of course. But it was certainly not banned from the school grounds. Yet students did understand that smoking in front of the school was not ok even though there were no signs saying so.

My point exactly. It's become a hobby for some to blame everything bad on a small percentage of vapers...the cloud chasers. However, when an actual discussion takes place, all the examples of poor behavior relate to people in grocery stores, meeting rooms, park benches, doctors offices, churches, school hallways.......these aren't cloud chasing issues. These are standard vapers with little or no respect for those around them. So, perhaps another suggestion for editing the thread title..."Jerks will ruin vaping for everyone....including, but certainly not limited to Cloud Chasers.".I think as long ad we don't go crazy and vape around loads of people we're fine
Never been a problem for me.
Plus the original post was actually about cloud chasers contributing to a ban and aggravating legislation or government.... I think everyone is way off topic
