Wow you guys are a tough audience.

I have a lot of Dicodes, including their charger, which works perfectly but I don't actually ever end up using for anything since I'm used to flipping batteries in and out and charging 6-8 at a time.

This mod (in blue) has to be the best looking mod I've ever seen. And since it's so small, and Dicodes quality rep, it's the first mod I ever would have considered spending that kind of $ on. I thought it was odd, too, that they didn't have on-board charging. I mean, with their circuitry- like a dna, I would think it'd actually be safer than most external chargers. But now I know why - they want to sell you this. At the current price, no usb, tiny display, I think I'm out, too. My search for a great small mod continues.

You realize that thing you're waxing rhapsodic about is a Dicodes 6? Everything is relative, but the words small and compact do not come to mind. It's for 26650s and built like a tank.

Sorry if I've offended you schismz, but I don't think you read the thread carefully, and understood my point.

Name of thread, and the mod I was "waxing rhapsodic"about:

Oh hey, you haven't offended me at all, I did not carefully read each message, but get the overall idea: you guys want a USB port on Dicodes. Their box mods have actually had that charger port plate on the bottom roughly 2 years before their eventually, perpetually-delayed, coming real soon now, charger, finally got released. I can't really say that I like the charger that much, you need to swap plates between the 6, Dani Box, and now Dani Box mini, and I actually got two of 'em so I wouldn't have to bother changing the plates, 'cept now I'd need 3 for the mini ... at the end of the day I just lost interest because I don't ever use their chargers, they just collect dust.

I don't know what threads your message references, both your links above just return error pages/page doesn't exist. I was just pointing out that the Dicodes 6 you had in your msg, is the opposite of a compact, lightweight mod. It's more like a big lead weight :)

It'd be nice if they had a usable USB port, I too spend a lot of time in airports with carryons and phones, laptops, iPads, Everything Else which I can plug into a USB charger, so it'd be handy ... I just doubt they're ever gonna do it.

I stopped smoking back in the stone ages of 2009 with Super T and GG mechs, then kinda transitioned to ProVari, and ended up at Dicodes about a year and a half before ProVape shut down. Dicodes is very similar to a much better, higher-end ProVari; they're also similar in their overall attitude, which amounts to, "whatever the industry is doing <shrug> this is what we're doing, we're the best at TC our chipset beats the DNA, there are no user-installable firmware updates ... because it works correctly. If it didn't work correctly we wouldn't ship it. The mods are perfect, bulletproof, and last roughly forever. You're welcome."

Dicodes is actually a company that builds embedded devices primarily for the medical market, dicodes GmbH in Bottrop – Elektronikhersteller und Entwickler their entire e-cig line is more of a hobby and only exists because one of their founders started vaping, looked at what was available, and went like, "we can do this much better" so, then they did.

Their market is obviously very limited to people who don't mind paying a lot of money -- relatively speaking -- for a high end mod. I can look at the serial #'s on my units and get a back of hand calculation that they sell 1000s, or at best 10s of thousands of units total. I don't get the impression they care too much about their e-cig division so long as it breaks even.

Having said all that I have over 100 mods at this point -- they accumulate ;-) -- and around 25 are ProVaris (mostly new and in storage, not in actual rotation anymore), and 30+ Dicodes (5 or 6 in use, the rest were purchased back during the 2016 Vapocalypse the world is ending again, stocking up cycle).

IDK, all of this is a long way of saying I'm eating lunch and reading the forum on an iPad :) The total summary could be <shrug> if lack of USB port is deal-breaker, then, don't buy one, maybe they'll come out with a special armor-plated uber-USB port in another 3 years or something. I personally haven't found it to be a big deal since I never charge anything off it, 'cept for the Radius when I used to use it, because it was such a pain to get the bottom plate off the thing.

Just my opinions, experiences, and thoughts on Dicodes.

Can't vape any better than this.
The issue of charge port on Dicodes is a very minor one.
The direct indication of the battery internal resistance on the Dani box V2 and mini, is an eye-opener.

Here, you can note that many premium 18650 batteries have 30 milliohm internal resistance... Totally unexpected. All mods should include this feature, as it is a truly game changer.
Well done Dicodes...

That's the whole point of the forum, for peoole to express their PERSONAL opinions. There is trashing and trolling but I don't see any of that in this thread.

I also used word "useless" to describe Dicodes mods but it really wasnt trashing. Spent quite a lot of time investigating this mod but it really is useless for me. Im a new vaper. Maybe 3 months now and I own a single mod! My Pico was pluged in usb charger every other day (my battery lasts 1.5 days in average). Often I charge it in the car, scooter and through external battery because Im really on the move all the time.

Its easy to buy a charger or two if you have simple daily routine, home to work and back. But it simply doesnt work with me that way. Also it looks easy to carry extra batteries or chargers with you but I disagree. I have a ton of gizmos (Im in IT) and if I thought like that Id have my bag full of different batteries and chargers. Sorry but no, all my devices can be charged over standard USB, even laptop. I carry nothing except mini exteranal 7500 mAh battery.

At the end, in my opinion Dicodes is supppsed to be exactly like that, high end carefully though product, something like Apple products. I simple refuse to use it in a way that's completely oposite of that: carry stuff heavier than itself with me, and/or include battery maintenance in my daily planning just to make sure it keeps running.

In short, Im looking for small "travel" mod. Dicodes have amazing mods but Im waiting for one with "travel" tag on it :)

I travel with Dicodes mods.
I take the docking charger with me, it has two power input sockets, one is a micro USB.
And the charger is a feat in itself, as it is heavily over engineered to pamper the battery in a way that I haven't seen before...

So then it should have a lightning port instead of USB ...? :w00t:

This is pretty cool, Dicodes Tiny - dicodes-mods.com works well with Kayfun mini V3.

Hmm you really like their charger :)

It's very nice dicodes 2380, dicodes dani extreme and pipeline 2 but I just don't ever use it personally. I'm glad it makes you happy, their engineering is always pretty awesome.

I think I will opt for the Dani 25?

I know I would like the battery life with one of those, but I need one to fit in a shirt pocket with an 18650 battery. I will probably end up getting 2 of them, I can only do one at a time though. I will consider the tubes later, but the first tube would be the Extreme with tubes for the 18350, 18500 and 18650. If I had the cash I would love to get one of the stab wood box's, I just don't see that happening though.

Wow. I didnt know that dicodes came up with a dani box mini. Saw couple of youtube vids and it looks really nice.
But before i put another hole in my wallet i need an advise from the veterans who already own this beauty.
I spent a lot of money over the past 2 years trying to find the ultimate vape experience. Mods, attys, drippers, wires, deferent cotton types, batteries and ofcaurse juices.
I currently own dna40, dna60, dna75 and 75c, sx450j and Dani extreme v3.
I’m a restricted lung/ loose mtl vaper and k5 and skyline are my current saviors.
I never vape without tc mod and in that catigory dicodes takes the gold hands down. I’ve seen a lot vapers debating this topic before (which is the best tc board) and I can assure you that after almost 2 years and a couple of thousands worth of vape gear Dicodes is clearly the most consistent and reliable tc board.
I had the Dani extereme v3 for about a year and half and till not 1 dryhit, Not 1. My juices always taste the same and chuck the same cloud. Hate to compare it to a cigeratte but it is as reliable as a cigarette if that makes sense.
With that being said I really like the new Dani mini box but I cant justify this purchase since I already own the v3.
So what do you think. Is there any added benefit to the Dani box mini over the v3?
Your replies and inputs are highly appreciated.
I’ll be waiting with my finger on my mouse clicker :)

I'm in the same boast as you. I have a Yihi MX and haven't touched it since i've used my Dani Box V2 (80watt version), my Taifun gt3 and Prime sit on top. I love the mod so much I can't decide if I should wait for the Taifun box to restock or snag another Dicodes; the mini version.

I love the size in my hand and couldn't imagine anything smaller but I can totally justify the feeling in my hands just not sure if i should pull the trigger on it.

Benefits over the V3? Battery life if you're not running the V3 in 18650 mode, slightly easier UI navigation, ability to pair with I think up to 24mm attys. Not much in it really, I'll probably get one sometime just for battery (I only run my V3 Ti in 18350 mode, even though I have an 18650 extension) and a different form factor, but I don't feel in any particular rush.

Interesting to see some others thoughts on Dicodes for TC, I'm a strictly TC vaper and Dicodes has also rocketed to being my favoured board since getting the V3. For me at least I feel like it gives me a better vape than my DNA60/75/75C mods and my Yihi mod. Liked it so much I grabbed up a Submonkey M'key #60 with the Dicodes board as soon as I could.

Yeah thanks to this thread, I checked some of those boxes out. LOL, I should not have done it. The purple stabwood is particularly compelling.

I've heard good things about TC but I have no actual experience, but someday, sometime, if I pinch my pennies and maintain employment I'm getting one next year for my birthday. That's in June, so it should allow me to do the necessary saving. LOL.
