.....I need to come see you when I get some stamina for the drive (I think it would be a coupla hours round trip)...bad has been hinting for me to do it to check how you are doing on your assignments...

(br what kind of byob should I bring...I much prefer some good CC over beer btw)

Plenty of Crown Royal and 100 Proof Smirnoff is about all I have in the house. My share of the beer is still in the horse.

I think Br is right, if yu order from the U.S. there is a good chance that you will not get a newer mess, you will probably get an earlier mess.

If you order from e-liquid, at least the highest you'll pay is about $6.50 per 5 pack delivered, and you can add juice or something else and save even more from there.

are you just wrapping it around the existing wire in the cup or do you have to cut and solder?

I haven't actually tried it yet, I don't have a lab as big as Badkolo-Br's. I was thinking that you can probably use it in place of the existing coil, so the new wire would be it's own coil.

the r4 has been fixed with longer wicks according to a message i recieved, thats the only fixes. so make do with that.

while buying from china means you have to buy 100 at a time it does ensure the latest product, but in a months time everyone should be selling only 1 version, there arent any improvements being made other then the longer wicks.

It's about time. The added cost for more wick should be less than the silly poly pads in the box.

Edit: There will be some more. Just wait. I ain't through yet.

Here is the next problem with the E2 that should be fixed. This problem occurs when the wires for the coil are installed in the ceramic cup. If they are pulled down too tight, the wick will be pinched at the bottom of the slots. This can happen when the wires are pulled through the holes, but they can also be pulled further when the silly shrink tubing does its thing. This problem can easily be eliminated, but lord only knows how long it will take for that to happen.

but it's quite a learning experience. Maybe other posts will pop up with how-to and tips, make sure you order the proper ohms, xl or regular, paypal or western union, kr808 is totally different than the usual kr808d1 carto, etc. I think that stainless steel is extra and I think someone said that you have to write it in the comments, etc. I don't know if that automatically causes the right price to process or not, I guess do ask other very experienced posters who know.

good catch, that had not occurred to me.

on the BanjoMan Propeller-mod, does the upper wick work better than the lower wick? also is the air flow around both good?

____

update on the wire mesh for the mesh-wick experiment:
I found out that McMaster-Carr the one who sell the wick also sells wire mesh. Link:

(they even sell ceramics, 2 and 4-bore ceramic tubes, even 2 part casting compounds:

I'm still trying to find out what the minimum diameter of an E2 tube needs to be in order to make it work better than the original size. Is the syringe inside diameter actually large enough to make it work better? I haven't been able to tell the difference.

If your talking about with a stock wick ... My 3ml syringe works better, but I have only made one so thats not very conclusive. The stock in a syringe seems comparable to a cut wick PTM mod in the stock tube. So for the work involved I think i'll stick with PTBing mine. Works well enough for what I need.

I still don't have a bottle thats right for a bottle mod though, thats on my to-do list.
On a side note, my REO Grand will arrive today :) so my need for cartos may drop WAAAAY DOWN!
