im in love with my ptb syringe mod, it vapes so well, i hear that sizzle with every drag until its empty.

I'm weened off the bottle now and still testing the same 510 XL as yesterday. The bottle spoiled me with the cooler vape, so I added a regular length tube to my brass filler tip. Don't know why I didn't think of that before now.

ok, in a properly ptb modded syringe, i can now see the juice rise upwards in the ptb as i vape and watch the juice fall when i stop vaping. this vapes perfect until its empty but my other ptb modd didnt work like this with the juicing rising so im trying to see what i did that caused this one to work so well.

I finally found something that makes my XL actually look small for a change:

roughstack.jpg

That's the RoughStack from MadVapes. Takes a 18350 1200mAh battery and is barely taller than the XL itself.

(and yes, the XL is modded with PTB) :p

Ok, so I don't have anything that will take a good pic with, or steady enough hands to do what I suggested to try. Nor do I have e2 r4's to spare for experiment with.
So I took and ran mesh over a pretty gunked up not making a vape at all anymore e2 r2s wick. Much to my pleasure it resurrected it. Or is it a fluke?

I'm new to the CE2 R4s. Forgive me if I've missed the answer to the question I am about to ask.

Do these have glue in them or not? I noticed on Badkolo's initial entry it states:

The C-E2 R4 has no glue or any silicone anywhere inside it, there is no filler of any kind and Primer Free. Thats what you should receive when you order the R4.

I just got a batch of these from vaporjunction. When I found that I could not remove the third and innermost plug (with the two holes for filling), I called vj's number and spoke to Travis. He stated that the inner-most plug should not be removed as it is glued into place over the cup.

Also, I noticed that the first carto I tried without an initial dry burn had a horrible taste to it. The second I did do a dry burn on and it gave off a lot of some type of vapor when I did. It had a very bad chemical scent.

Have I received the wrong type of cartos, despite ordering the R4's, or have I just missed something in this thread that explains all this? I have read the entire thing, but could not find the answer I am looking for. Thanks!

Banjo, is the roughstack working out for you? They seem like a pretty good value, and I am a top (thumb) button kinda guy.

Might get me one of those for a "beater"

I actually got it for my wife (she's rougher on mods than I am for some reason). It's a very simple yet rugged design and the switch is user replaceable. There's no on/off switch so you wouldn't want to put it in your pocket, but it makes a handy little desk vaper. For $45 I think it's a pretty good deal.

The filler ring isn't glued in - it's just in there very tight and takes a bit of patience and care to remove. Be advised though they can be hard to get back in.

You should at least rinse the carto in hot water and dry burn it before using. Some even go as far as to boil them or soak them in vodka.

so no one likes the other upside version i came up with??

stephen, if the tube was designed like a drip tip on the inside then it would be leak proof yet fully serviceable and a pop on/off type thing

I thought you hadn't finished it Bad because you ran out of solder. Is it done now? If so, how does it vape?

I think that ink pen filler tube idea Fish Juice had (or was that you? :p) is going to make a lot of other ideas possible now.

no , i meant for someone to try it, ill try to accomplish it tomorow myself. but the filler ring is no good for the job and i need a new disc there with 2 holes for the wicks and maybe ill use the afl filler and cut a round ring to use on the inside of the tank right where the wick would come through the holes, that should keep juice at bay yet allow it to touch the wick and fee juice to them.

I could try to play with it tomorrow. Maybe I could CAD something and go from there.

I went to the "glass" store yesterday and broke two tubes trying to see if the carto end would fit in. The stuff i saw was much too thin. I'm interested in working with the upside down version, but I'm actively trying to perfect what I've already started- it's so close to what I'm looking for in a cartomizer; I'd like a day or two to get bored of it before I move on.
