"Experience" is subjective. If you have been doing something a long time, but still don't know WTF your doing your not "experienced" :)

But if they never tried an E2, the Joye would seem like the best thing ever I imagine.
It is much better than a standard carto, just not the same as the blissful E2 experience :)

You know I don't even know, after my experience with them this evening and goign back to them here and there through the night, that they are better than the 'other' cartos. I smoked a Green Smoke when I first started and before the filler started injecting that awful burnt paper taste halfway through a carto, they were actually decent, a better flavor than the Joyes.

I mean the taste is weird, I make faces. Thanks to you and badloko for giving me an honest warnign about them. I was excited when I first filled and tried one out after a few vapes...

I think that it is subjective...if they are used to a marginal vape maybe they don't know any better.

i got this part done, cut the stem and lowered the cup, inserted the wires into the bottom inner plug to prevent any leaking, now i need ot figure out the top part so it wick properly, i just placed a center plug on top of the cup as an example, i will refine this tonight, the cup can go even lower but this way we can see whats going on before doing that.

I was away all weekend. Every time I think I get the wick slits cut just right it ether leaks over time or doesn't wick enough.
A extra seal under the cup may work.

Eraser on back of pencil

Thank you Nick but I am still not exactly sure of what I will be pushing on with the eraser. Is it the center contact on the PV or the Carto? If I do this will it effect the contact that is made from other cartos/atomizers? I have a few devices in which the center pin was pushed down to the point which now I cant get any cartomizers to fire on them... I don't want this happening to my PV-1!!

When u pull the mouthpiece out and the 2 inner rings therea a white cup that the wick runs through apply a little pressure downward to that and the center will push through the bottom a little... I blieve your problem is that the positive connection is not making contact with the battery properly...

I thought I should mention that I dissected all 5 of the CE2 r4's that I have been using today. There is absolutely no doubt that the wicks in these things burn. I carefully removed the wicks from all 5, and while inspecting them the wicks literally crumbled into little black, charred pieces. This is BS. I thought the wicks weren't supposed to burn. WTF?

Actually, the wick material does not burn. There is a reason for what is happening with your wicks, but since you are officially done with vaping, there is no need for an explanation. I sincerely wish you the best with your endeavor.

Well thanx to everyone for helping fix my problem, got them working!

Jason,

I share your frustration with Vaping and I still smoke analogs because the technology is not there yet. It simply takes too much time and upkeep for me to vape on the weekends. I am generally away from home all weekend. Lucky for me I like to tinker with gadgets and I do plan on becoming an exclusive vaper when my life slows down in a few years. Id say stick with it and keep monitoring the community for when we can make vaping as easy and the experience is as consistent as analogs...

Even if vaping isn't for you, can you post some pics so it might help us? Thank you.

BTW - Where did you get your R4's? Not trying to give anyone a bad name but I do know that the manufacture has sent older rev cartos to retailers as well as individuals.

Good for you Garritos...I believe you will hit your stride much quicker than you think...Jason it does get frustrating. Just take a step back, a deep breath. There were/are QC issues with these but they are the best tasting and overall experience I have had with cartos.

One of the things to keep in mind is that this wicks UP towards a coil and they don't wick consistently well against gravity so I have found that I have to kind of tilt my vape about ten degrees or so up, not every time but maybe every other draw.

When you get new cartos its a good idea to run them under hot tap water and blow through them a few times before all the water runs out the vents on the threaded ends. This makes sure they are clean. Then you can shake out as much water and take a hair dryer to them. In one of the major manufacturers of eCigs (the Riva 510) manuals they even describe this method, including a hair dryer for cleaning atomizers. Once you have done that intially you will have a good experience, and this is only if you suspect there is primer in the cartos when shipped (which its not supposed to have). But the QC may be improving. I just got a pack of ten and the first four I have used have been very clean. I simply blew through them and filled and have been using with no problems.

No, I didn't take any pics, and now I wish I had.

Let me be very clear: I am NOT trying to sell anything or pull anyone away from these. BUT THEY MOST CERTAINLY DID BURN! I knew someone would claim that the wick material in these doesn't actually burn, but that either I must have done something wrong or there's some other explanation. THEY ARE BURNT! I have vaped these things about 5 to 6 times a day for the approximate amount of puffs that I would take off one analog each time. When I removed the wicks CAREFULLY from the cup, they crumbled apart like charcoal. If it were just gunk build-up on the wick, then there would still be wick left. There is none. The only parts of these wicks left are the loops that hang down into the reservoir and they're charred on the ends where the middle section broke apart. The rest turned to black powder and/or black chunks.

Again, I'm done with all this. I have no ulterior motives here. Continue believing the wicks don't burn if you choose.

I had the things since last Wednesday, and they were from Vapor Junction.

If your goal is to just quit and you have the ability to do so then there is no doubt that's the ideal.
I vape as an alternative habit to smoking (and for nicotine intake) and have no intention of quitting.
Not trying to talk you into anything further but have you tried the Joyetech 510 cartomizers? The filler doesn't burn and they're working adequately for me. If you can just quit cold turkey then I applaud you. If not, give the Joyetechs a try before reverting to analogs.
