Overall, I think the syringe mod delivers enough to make me happy as my all day vape.
Yesterday, I decided to clean alll of them. The dry burn took no more than 10 seconds as well. I dried the wicks with a paper towel, added juice and just like that, it's better than brand new! I love my syring mods!

I've noticed there's a sweet spot after a couple of dry burns on the R4's. I'm using the 3ohms and at first it's great, but there's definitely something that happens after a dry burn cleaning or two- slightly better throat hit and I get that sizzle, which I don't get when they're brand new. I don't know why that is. I sometimes rinse with water, but always torch the entire wick. A word of caution if you torch without rinsing- eliquid is flammable. At least the stuff from China is...

I'm glad to hear someone else has observed this- I thought maybe I was just over excited that they were still working so well after being put the the wringer of a dry burn gunk removal. I get really lazy and blow on the coils as I dry burn because it turns the gunk to ash more quickly. I've burned out a few, but the ones that burned out were used for weeks anyway.

I did the syringe mod but not getting particularly good results. I used a 3 ml syringe, didn't seal around the cup (not sure what everyone else is doing for that) and insterted a drip tip in the end . The first few vapes had good vapor but very little if any flavor. Now its just getting a progressively dry and slightly burnt vape...of course, because the cup isn't sealed, I can't 'tilt' during my vapes. Any ideas? I am vaping with a VG juice.

I want to thank BR for the BR mod. not for the E2, but in another way. I have some LR atties and some project atties that are just to much to vape. Using your bottle mod I can put a little distance between the atty and me. Sometimes I never know what gonna come shooting or popping out at me. This creates a buffer whilst I am turning up the voltage. sometimes my concoction wont fit in a reg tube so this works well for that also.
Thanks for sharing BR. :>)

The syringes I use are snug. I have also learned that the coil gunks up after one fill. I started cleaning mine each time u empty it. Makes a huge difference. Try finding and a quick drying burn. I bet you'll see an immediate difference.

Yes, my earlier one was not snug even though it was a 3ml. The new ones for 'single use only' are very snug; just made one today. I filled them w/ Vodka to test and didn't see any leaks. I'm ready to go out the door with it but it appears to be a winner.

You're welcome, roadrash. I believe the distance from the atty is one of the reasons why the bottle mod works so well for me. With the cooler smoke, it's hard for me to tell the difference between 2.5Ω and 3.0Ω.

If you rinse it in water first the dry burn is only a few seconds. In comparison to a few minutes that's gotta help with the life of the coil. I'm amazed how quickly it glows!

I'll have to try cleaning after each fill- for me it's about 3.5 ml. I usually wait to dry burn until there's a big ball of black delight on the coil. Perhaps being more diligent on cleanliness would be a smart move.

The B-D 3ml syringe does work.
You just need to cut the harder plastic off at the bottom end of the tube.

You can leave the top part the way it is if you want to. The small tubes from Lowe's fit it just fine, and they're not as wide as the cartos, they're better.

Yes I used BD's tonight...I cut around the bottom and top with a simple blade cutter. The top is a perfect fit for a drip tip but I guess the Lowe's tubing provides a seal for the cup, this what you sayin'???

I have a total of 7 syringe mods that I did a little experiment with all last week and this is what I have seen.
The R3.5's definately turn the juice a funky color in a short time! Still work good but dark juice. The R4's do not! I did a dry burn after each empty tank and never got a bad taste. I used the existing wicks on all of them and never got the dry taste. I plan on using the PTB but didn't want too many variables in this test. Overall, I think the syringe mod delivers enough to make me happy as my all day vape.
Yesterday, I decided to clean alll of them. Took the syringe off each, ran under hot water for about 10 seconds and found that the coil goes red almost immediately after wet with water. The dry burn took no more than 10 seconds as well. I dried the wicks with a paper towel, added juice and just like that, it's better than brand new! Used one all day yesterday and couldn't be happier. I think I'm going to try rinsing and dry burning after each tank, maybe 2. I love my syring mods!

ok Big Dummy question!!! Must have missed it but what size syringe do you use? Is there a tutorial somewhere???

I got my first dud from my last shipment from China. It worked great for the first fill, then went South fast. Dry burning and torching the wicks didn't work. It's just giving a measly output of vapor. I switched it to another tube just to be sure and it's just not working. It's not a setback for me because these are the best things I've come across since I started vaping, but I just wonder why that could be. Just doesn't make any sense to me. The first 10 were superb.
