Better than nothing, I guess. The idea of putting a temp sensor in the atomizer is a good one but I'd like it to connect back to the controller...there's goes the good old 510 connector but progress is progress.
The beauty of this approach is that it is controller independent. It could be used on a mech or whatever a user happens to own. Backwards compatible!

No, it is not "control" but it would give the non-technical users an equivalent to a pop-up turkey thermometer to know they are in a safe range.

That's kind of my point. Without control it's not as useful as it can be. It can be a reasonable indicator, certainly, but to use its potential, fully, connecting back to a controller is the way to go. Now, if a controller, or even a limiter, could be added as well, and make that an rta not an rda, and you've really got something.

From the perspective of the typical consumer, certainly.

Good luck. :)

Interesting, could be of potential use for Kanthal users.

Cant find any specs on it yet, no clue how it supposedly works.
The temp scales they show look way off in terms of being useful, maybe its a typo.

The Temp Scales could be a Typo. Because the Name was.

It's an Argus TS RDA.

It might make sense if they missed a "2" on each degree number. As in 242C, 253C, etc, but I dont see any value at all in sensing down between 107F and 127F? Who cares, and why?

Yeah... The Numbers are kinda Baffling.

Maybe it is Temperature Increase from room temp?

I'm just going to assume that's either a misinterpretation of what people mean when they talk about temperature control, or they're just letting you know when the RDA itself is getting too hot(to touch, since it has a delrin mouthpiece that covers the whole top), or both.

Found it on vaoprl (don't ask me, I never ordered from there) for only $20.25. At least they're not charging top dollar for the temp feature. Would the rda feel really hot and burn your finger if you touched it at 53C/127F? If yes it might be a useful feature.

For 25 Bucks, even if it Doesn't do anything Useful, it would still be a Conversation started.

"Um... Excuse me. But why is your RDA Blinking different colours every time you take a hit?"

LOL

iJoy was first to market with the light up chip coil thing going back as far as their Tornado nano, and then in their Limitless RTA/chip coil line. I know because I ordered a pack of coils and somehow got the light up ones. Sadly they only light up red. But it does look festive, although lousy for stealth in a movie theater.

Looks like the temp range wasnt a typpo. What a waste! Cool concept, lousy implementation.

wait, how is it powered? does it only light up while you're firing? If so, how do you see it?

Just guessing. But I would Imagine that it is Powered via the 510.

As to being able to see it? Maybe you need to use it with the "Buddy System"?

LOL

I gotta ask...What were they thinking with this thing? That temperature range is, basically, useless. If they just want the bling of LEDs temperature isn't important at all and the temperature of the atomizer base is totally useless. A simple touch will tell you if it's too hot. A great idea totally wasted.
