mike, could you get a temp reading of a 3mm ekowool/3mm coil/30g or 32g/2 ohm? half ohm is surely not considered tootle puffing. or am i the only vaper that does this? (tube mech). i really like your empirical testing but it has not seemed relevant to my style so far.

You aren't the only one. I, too, refuse to join the sub ohm craze.

The resistance has little significance here. He was using a coil of a similar mass to what you vape and in the same power range.

I only used SS430 because I wanted to see what the DNA would do with it in TC mode. That wasnt meant to replicate tootle, just to compare rayon/silica.

I am sure I have some wire around to accomplish this. Heck, I have NI, TI, TU, SS316, SS430, Nichrome, Kanthal, Ribbon wire, and a few more I cant remember. Various gauges of each, mostly the popular gauges of the time. Anyway, I am sure I could replicate the coil, but it would have to be in a modern atty like a Merlin. juice flow restricted or open? Airflow restricted or open?

The one problem I forsee is it sounds like you might be a dripper. I am not tackling drippers or squonkers. Only tanks. I do not have the experience with dripping or squonking to maintain the user discipline in anything that I would consider a consistent or repeatable manner. At least not enough that I would hang my name on a test and call it credible.

kanthal in an rsst, 4-1mm air holes. i suppose one big hole like most use would be similar
I dont have an RSST laying around anymore, but I do still have a few GKMFs, Would that be suitable. It was one of the best Gennys in its day.

I also just found this in my desk drawer at work. The wick hole is drilled out to 3mm. I forget the name, it was a Shek Co-op deal.

I dont consider myself a sub ohmer either. The only reason I went there was for TC.

I think TC changed the definition of subohm.

Or......

The other option is build one up exactly like you like it, send it to me, with $7 to cover return postage, and I will test your exact atty.

Just for the record. While I am willing to do this, for atty types that I dont have on record, dont assume I can do ANYTHING. You have to let me know the atty first so I can look it up.

In this case, I have had several RSSTs so I know the atty, and I know I can do my magic on it.

There are some I wont attempt. For example the Eleaf GS series stuff. While not impossible, they would be way more complicated to do, more complicated than I care to mess with.

I think TC changed the definition of subohm.

Actually I think anything "regulated" changed the meaning of "subohm".

Then again, all my "subohm" builds are with TC wire and used primarily on TC enabled devices. (there are some exceptions)
