Newbie looking for a cigarette replacement

nothing wrong with plastic tank's. great for starter since they are usually cheaper in cost you don't really care about breaking one or two in the learning process.
every one has their personal taste's like i prefer a glass/pyrex unit since i like menthol and never want to care that it's breaking down the plastic but again start with the one's that come with the kit and once you have a feel for this you can look into other stuff if needed. just watch out for the collectors bug it can bite you lol. been at this like 2-3 months and im already at 3 mod's 2 cheap ego's, 1 dripper and 5 tank's (non the same) and more goodies on the way

Would this be a safe juice to try in the iClear 16? Also it states that the mix is 80% VG/20% PG unless otherwise specified. What results can I expect with this mix as opposed to having them mix 50/50?

you can use menthol just be warned it breaks down plastic tanks. one of my friends has been running menthol in a plastic tank for a months with no issue's so give it a go. if it cracks it big woop 4 more to go 
You got the right coils for the right tank! If they completely break, you can get ANY tank you want to replace them though. You don't need to get iClear 16's. Most tanks out there will work just fine on the VV v3. You can go ahead an buy a mini Protank II in addition, from any site, and it'll work.
Yea I think I may go with a different tank when these are gone for the piece of mind with pyrex. But at that point I think I will need to do more research as the research I have done done now has left me unsure of a tank to get. So many options and opinions that it makes it tough especially when you do not have the option to try before you buy.

when it comes to juices i always tell people to go into a shop and try a few out. at lease at first till you get a sense of what you like. but if you're no where near a show and your a menthol smoker this is a must have

Mtbakervaper is good. Huge selection and really good prices. Plus, they'll usually say in the description of the juice if it's a tank cracker or a coil gunker.
Tinkie you've opened another can of worms..... MTbaker is great and cheap and made in the USA. BUT they are made to order. juices that are made to order usually but not always need to be steeped. several methods to this here's mine and it's easy
shake well, take cap off, take nipple off hid in cool dark play for a day or two, put cap back on share daily for a few days while keeping it in a dark cool place. taste test and hide further if needed.
you save a lot of money buying though MTbaker as for 10-15 bucks you get 50ml where as normally its about $1 per ml for most ready to go juices

If you want to try a tobacco flavor go for it. I know when I was new, oh boy it had to taste just like my cigarette. The after trying a few and my taste buds started to revive, I wondered why in the *ell would I want it to taste like a dirty ashtray?(just me tho) so I started looking for different flavors. Basically, anything that you can eat, you can vape. Look at fruit types or drink types also. And don't worry about steeping(aging) a liquid. Most vendors do make to order but it starts steeping as soon as they make it, so given the time it takes to get to you, feel free to try it out. some vendors have sample packs but if you can get the 10ml at least. this is because if you find one you just love, and order a bigger bottle, then you may use the one up before the other replacement gets to you. LOL. You are not going to like all the flavors you pick, so stick them in a cool dry place and re-visit them in a month. If you still don't like them, then give them away or ecf has a pif(pay-it-forward) section where you can trade or donate anything you want to help out some people who are down on their luck.
oh and mtbaker is good.
Also halo and johnson creek are good. Just google them. And you can also click on the suppliers forum link at the top menu of any page in ecf and look to see if any vendor appeals to you.

After you get your gear, I would keep an OPEN mind and explore different juices, not just Newport/Menthol. I smoked a carton per wk. Newports, but now I have found that I REALLY like non menthol Tobacco flavors TOO. I am suggesting that you NOT set yourself up for failure, as flavor chasing can become a VERY EXPENSIVE addiction. I spent HUNDREDS $$$ trying to find a good Newport Juice and haven't done so yet. I've come close with nhaler nuport, which is good mixed with a good tobacco, and captivape Newport which is good too mixed with tobacco but NEITHER taste like a NEWPORT! So, just be open and you might even find yourself liking Fruit flavors, with Menthol or Ice... I did.

Thank you for the advice. I am thinking that I would rather try and get something that doesn't taste like a Newport. I figured that I would not find anything that tastes like one which may make me want one that much more. Plus I am reading that the menthol has been known to crack the plastic tanks which is what I will be using for the time being.

Lol yea the customer service rep informed me of this as well. Is there a minimum order to get free shipping though? That is one question I didn't ask.
don't think so. my last order was 4 30ml bottles so i don't know about say one 15 ml for example. their so cheap that there's no point in not getting a few random flavors to try plus the freebee surprise is always fun
Yea the freebie idea is a good way for sampling too. Is there a standard steeping process/time for all of the flavor or does it depend on the flavor itself?
