Hello. My favorite vape is a version of Monkey juice that I make at 20mg, 50/50 PG/VG, 11% Banana, 5% Red Label Tobacco and 2% Caramel. I have used the method of sitting the bottle in near boiling water for 15 minutes followed by a open bottle in a dark closet for 1 week, then closed bottle, shaking the bottle every day. Im interested in new Steeping methods. Has anyone heard of Steeping eliquid in a Oak Barrel or something similar? I was thinking about it today and how spirits / wine etc can be "aged" that way and wondered what effect it might have on ejuice?? Any help or ideas about this would be great! :D

Welcome to ECF. Interesting Idea.
Not much alcohol in Juice. I steep in Glass if its for a long time. I use some of the kind used for chemicals that are amber glass with a special plastic on the seal at the top. Non reactive. Thing is they age in oak or burnt oak for years and some of the alcohol leaks out in the process and the wood or burnt wood imparts color and other stuff. It takes years as when it cools and warms the alcohol goes in and out of the wood. They also only use those barrels one time and then sell them or burn them. Have no way to know how that would act with the flavors, nic and PG and VG etc.
I would not want to wait 5 years to test my diy juice.
Interesting Idea
