Didn't Obama bow down for the prince of Saudi Arabia?

Please. Know your history. No American family is more closely connected to the Saudi royalty than the Bushs. That's flat out, verifiable fact. It simply isn't possible to suggest that the relationship between the Saudi royals and Obama is comparable in any way to what they have with the Bushes. Remember how H.W. Bush was sitting in a room with one of the bin Ladens on 9/11? Fact. Not rhetoric.

Bush did refuse to sign the bill, but obama took care of that by signing the bill.

Try not to spread disinformation. Bush most certainly did not refuse to sign the bill. How do we know that? Because a bill needs to clear the House and Senate before a president can sign or veto it. The bill did not pass the House or Senate under Bush, therefore it never reached his desk for signing or veto. All he did was threaten to veto if it passed the House and Senate.

Civics. Basic civics.

This just in.

Democrats and Republicans both suck. I fear for my granddaughter's future.

As for now though as it applies to the original topic, I'll repeat my serious question. How long can you store juice if refrigerated? I seriously feel the need to stock up for the long term just in case. Can it be kept for a year or more?

As a matter of fact, I was just reading about that here:

People have been saying that for generations. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I've seen people say as short as six months and as long as two years. I'd say that if you refrigerate it you can probably safely get a year. I don't say that with any authority, though, so I invite someone with more experience on this topic to correct me if I'm wrong.

a working relationship between two different countries and bowing down of subservient is two totally different things

besides why did obama lie about it and try to cover up the bow?

and what are you talking about Bush meeting with bin laden brother on 9/11? when i google that all i see is a host of conspiracy sites show up

here is proof of obama bow and not from a conspiracy site with the youtube video

http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0409/White_House_No_bow_to_Saudi.html

it is american protocol btw not to bow but i guess obama does not know that does he?

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/apr/07/barack-takes-a-bow/

In a shocking display of fealty to a foreign potentate, President Obama bowed to Saudi King Abdullah at the Group of 20 summit in London last week.

Mr. Obama later said in Strasbourg, France, "We have to change our behavior in showing the Muslim world greater respect." Symbolism is important in world affairs. By bending over to show greater respect to Islam, the U.S. president belittled the power and independence of the United States.

The bow was an extraordinary protocol violation. Such an act is a traditional obeisance befitting a king's subjects, not his peer. There is no precedent for U.S. presidents bowing to Saudi or any other royals. Former President Franklin D. Roosevelt shook hands with Saudi King Abdulaziz in February 1945. Granted, Mr. Roosevelt was wheelchair-bound, but former President Dwight D. Eisenhower shook hands when he first met King Saud in January 1957. Mr. Obama's bow to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques does not help his image with those who believe he is secretly a Muslim, and why he chose to bow only to the Saudi King and not to any other royals remains unexplained.

No Americans of any station are required to bow to royalty. It is one of the pillars of American exceptionalism that our country rejected traditional caste divisions. Article I Section 9 of the Constitution forbids titles of nobility and stipulates that no officeholder or government employee may "accept of any present, emolument, office, or title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince, or foreign state" without the consent of Congress. Judith Martin wrote in her Miss Manners column in 2001 that bowing "is not an ordinary bit of foreign etiquette one might adopt out of courtesy when traveling. ... Americans do not properly bow to any royalty. We show respect for other countries' leaders the same way we do to our own."

i guess obama cannot help himself when it is in his nature, it is just his instinct

LOL Bush even bowed, and this photo was discovered by a right wing blog that the wingnuts attacked for pointing it out:

Little Green Footballs - Bush Bowed Too

And for the partisan hackery when discussing this bill, people need to look at the roll calls. The bill passed both chambers of Congress with strong bi-partisan support (a rather rare occurrence in our political climate of the past several years). As matter of fact that support was so high that Obama had no choice but to either sign it or see a veto overturned.

Its not an issue of Democrat versus Republican or Liberal versus Conservative, but rather an issue of Smokers versus non-Smokers, with smokers being the underdogs in the fight considering the lobbying power behind groups like the AMA and AHA, who support any sort of anti-smoking legislation.

I am not a pro government type of person... The problem I see is the e cig side (our side) of this issue doesn't have a strong enough voice.. Signing a pettion is baby stuff stuck in someones inbox... that doesn't hit the news and bring attention.. I find it hard to believe how many people don't know about the e cig except me and all of yall on this forum.. Any one that I've touched with the information of my experience of using the e cig, is overwhelmed with interest not only for themselves but also for people they care about that they know first hand how much they have struggled for years trying to quit analogs ... This is a powerful emotional subject.. Thousands of us who know the benifits and don't want to loose them,, and thousands of people who have no idea they have an option like the e cig they don't even know it exist to think about if it would benifit them or not... That and customs seizing products,, that will really un nerve Americans weither they care about analog's , e cigs or not...

We are just not using our voices effectively to be heard , we know what is going on, because it affects us.. The rest of America doesn't think any of if because they don't realize it.

It's so silly that you have to watch on World news about Demi moores boy toy who can get more twitter followers.. for what, a full week on that BS...
Just because they could make a buzz , enough for it not to be ignored...

Just think if no one will speak for us loud enough then why can't we speak for ourselves as a group in an organized way that they can't ignore us...

there is so many forums,, YouTube, twitter, plurk bloggs, face book, I am sure there is so many that I don't even know about that there has to be an organized way to blast a message so loud that you can't ignore it...
as an individual,, never make a difference,, but an organized mob it might...

Me personally I am just tired, FDA has never protected anybody and I am just tired of their antics as well as the government.. What ever happen to good old fashion riotting in the streets,,, The old saying that it's the squeeky wheel that always gets the oil....

what can I say...
Obama condems Americans to smoke tobacco cigarettes need those taxes to pay off his Debt...

Just watch all the mini home chemical labs pop up all over the states in backyards and the many injured e-smokers from nicotine poison and chemical burns that will fill your hospitals, well done FDA ....top job congress you have condemned us back to a life of cancer and second hand smoke.

**round of applause**

Just put your taxes on e-cigarettes already! and stop!! trying to pretend that it's all for the protection of our health and safety, enough! with the game playing ....our body. are choice!

Bush was not bowing, he was getting a medallion put around his neck, of course you would trust something by little green footballs LMAO

and trust me i am not a huge fan of Bush, i think there are a lot of things he did wrong, but I will take him for another 8 years over Obama anyday

and this bill would never had happened if it was not a congress with a majority of democrats, with a democrat president simple as that, so yes it comes down to politics

and yes obama could still have elected not to sign it knowing it could have overturned but at least he could have done it with a good principle which is what a good president would have done if he really did not believe the bill was proper

that is exactly what Ron Paul or Bush would have done even if it would have been overturned

I'm not surprised denec tried to defend this. As I said before in the thread, he's not here to help support PVs. He's here to press his 'winger agenda. Anyone who would seriously argue that Obama is more involved with the Saudis either doesn't have the first clue what he's talking about or is being willfully untruthful. The Bush family and the Saudi royal family have been closely intertwined for years. Obama has no such connections. The fact that he bowed means nothing.

At this point, my advice to everyone is to ignore denec. Don't feed the troll. He's only here to smear and insult, not to be helpful in any meaningful way.
