I just ordered a pair of stainless Engines on the fasttech Thanksgiving sale: $18.42 each. I'm eager to check out the top airflow and the big fill port. They'll be my first 25mm tanks, but should sit nice on my Cuboids. Those are currently hosting my Bachelor II tanks (another nice hassle-free dual-coiler), but I threw in a pair of EVIC VTwo Minis in the new orange and blue colors to handle those.

Thanks for all the helpful tips, folks!

good luck getting the mods thru customs. I won't be ordering any mods or batteries from overseas, just tanks and parts.

Thanks for the heads up; I'll let you know if I have any trouble.

Honestly, I don't expect any. The VTwo Mini ships without batteries. Batteries have been verboten for some time now, but my Cuboids came from Fasttech in October. I just got several spools of wire from there last Friday. It should be just another padded envelope to the USPS. I hope!

Um...have there been reports of trouble receiving external-battery mods? I may not have been paying proper attention....

It may be more with the internal battery mods but for me it's better safe than sorry and I will pay a few more dollars and just order them state side

I just received some mechs from FT that I ordered several weeks ago, no issues.

I have been having to sign for everything , no mods or batteries but tanks and odd ball stuff, even non-vape related stuff, ??

You have to sign for Fasttech deliveries? They have lots of shipping options, but I always pick USPS and never have had to sign. Are you picking something different?

I don't know but am going to find out. I use an old school 23mm Magma RDA (V1) on a Pico and it barely fits, the air control ring "kisses" the battery cap. The Engine mini is listed as 23mm so might fit.
Don't ask me where but I saw someone with a 23 mm engine on a pico. He had taken a dremel to the battery cap and shaved off 1/2 a mm supposedly to get the engine to fit. I have 23 mm tanks that fit on my pico so I'm interested in knowing if it fits without issue too. The engine would be a great match for the Pico if it fits.

Mailman just brought me my engine. Washed, built with 8 wraps spaced 26G ss316l. 50w.
Wow. I mean wow.
This thing is a breeze to build and kicks my v1 aromamizer in the teeth in terms of flavor.
Cut the cotton in the edge of base, just laying on feed holes.
Left on it's side for now doesn't seem to flood or anything.
A great piece of gear from obs this one.

Noob question: what type of coil is everyone using with their engine?
I have been using plain dual 28 gauge ss316L with 3mm ID in all my dual tanks for the past year or so. But I know some tanks preform better with thicker wire and higher wattages.
8 wraps at 0.4ohm

I have been using this engine for a couple of days now with different wicking, thick/thin. Cotton visually looks saturated but the flavor isn't as good as say the Gemini, Cleito, Griffin, Bellus etc..

I'm pretty sure I have almost the same exact build or pretty darn close mine comes in at .37
And I'm using rayon for wick.
I did notice it took like a day for the flavor to really start coming thru.
I've heard talk of breaking in the coils but really have no clue.
If your rayon takes more than a ML or two to break in you may be using too much rayon in the coil. I have started using a bit less rayon and twisting it some when pulling it thru my coils and my break in time is usually no more than a few vapes. I don't have this tank (yet) to know if it can be done but on most of my tanks I pulse the fire button some while saturating the wicks and that also helps reduce break in time once you start vaping it. I ran 150+ ML thru my boreas and billow v3+ before my last re-wick and went nearly a month. The wicks were still super clean I probably could have went even longer as the coils weren't even very gunky since I use little/no sweetener in my DIY juice.

I think 28g might be too thin,it heats up too fast imo.
I always use 26g for up to 60 watts dual coil.
24g for higher but not my preference.
