Just rewicked it (jeez the wick was dirtier than I expected) and changed juice as long as I was changing the wick. First few puffs were "juicy", not truly flooded, but a little wet and gurgly, went away after about 3 or 4 puffs. Now it's smooth as can be. Can't say if that was because of the new wick/slightly different wicking/lunar cycle, but not enough to bother me. Flavor is excellent on this juice as well, certainly on par with my Merlin, which has been my top flavor pick until now.
I lol at lunar cycle! Well done.

I have a dilemma to to go with this, the obs engine 25mm or geekvape griffin plus 25. I'm more of an rda junky who likes flavor with a good amount of clouds. Does anyone own both? If so which would you recommend? I have a problem deciding. Any response would be greatly appreciated.
I have both. I vastly prefer the Engine.

After 24 hours on the Engine: Flavor has improved dramatically from when I first set this up. Wick break in and the whole tank needed to breaking...(my opinion), almost like breaking in a coffee pot or a good cast iron skillet. Needs something "brewed or cooked" in it a bit before it holds the flavor right.

Running dual coils, 24ga, A1 Kanthal, 3mm, 7 wrap. Coming in at 0.29. Wick with Japanese cotton very snug, sitting on top of the deck similar to a Boreas wicking.

Now that the flavor is up and it's broken in I am finding this a really good vape. I started with Hive coils, 0.19, but the chamber was really getting hot at 55-60 watts. I am running the current 24a coils at about 38 watts and getting a really nice vape.

I get spit back for the first few pulls after a refill, but I know that is going to happen so I pull slow and even a few times and it clears up. First time that happened I burned the crap out of my tongue.

I have had no leaks at all as expected. The fill is so, so easy and quick.

So far I am liking this and feel it has real potential to be a regular on my daily rotation as I fine tune my wicking and find "just the right" coil setup for this puppy.

Hi,great getting to read your first impressions,ya that spit back/ gurgling on fill ups is a downer, haven't figured out how to get rid of it yet,am running triple twisted 28 gauge kanthal,3 mm and coming in at .35 hitting it at 53 w. I've been cutting my wicks just past the deck a little then soaking them and placing them just over the wick holes making sure everything is covered up but not stuffed in there but still getting spit back and even gurgling when filling up which is got me a little baffled as am trying to figure out how it's fludding when filling,it goes away after a while but annoying just the same, wished they would have put a jfc on this bad boy,got any pics of your wicking?

Just did a refill and am not getting just a little spit back am getting a mouth full of hot juice which is no fun I assure,my wicks are covering the juice holes so I just don't know we're to start to fix the issue,it does go away but still yikes I must be doing something wrong because it doesn't sound like your experiencing that,if you could see something that am not doing or should be doing PLEASE share lol, thanks bud ..

Have you tried what Rip said on his first impressions?
He used long wicks, touching the bottom of the tank, to eliminate the spitback.
Hey bud, thanks for you're reply, yes I tried that didn't help much:-/, not sure if you got yours yet or not? If so how are you wicking yours?

Haven't ordered yet, need to wait some feedback first.
Was thinking to set on up like any RDTA (for example Avocados),

Oh ok gotcha, the engine is a good tank it just takes a while the best way to wick it up,and to get rid of the spit back,at least that's my only 2 issues with it,am sure some vapers in this thread just wicked it once and bingo it's all good to go,but am not that talented lol,I'll have to keep messing with it and hope I crack the code,or some one out there will share a good tip that will tip the scales you know, there's some really cool people out there, shout out to Eskie,Shawn,DP2,and many others;-)

There goes that idea
Hey but it was worth a shot bud,and really appreciate you thinking about it,I know it's a wicking issue of some kind,I've tried laying the wicks just so they cover the juice holes and that didn't work for me,lots of juice in the gullet when I refill,I've tried wetting them before placing them and same deal, the best result I've gotten is by placing some of the wick in the hole itself, but even then it's not as smooth as my Sapor, which is buttery smooth, and I know this tank can be as smooth, there's no reason it wouldn't be right? Just gotta find what makes it tick- tock lol;-)

I agree with Franck. I had the same with massive spit back when I folded the wick under the coil. When I rewicked placing the wick in the hole (don't overstuff), the result was no spitback and a great vape.

Edit: I rewicked it twice by placing the wicks in the holes. Still testing the best way to wick it.

Oh PLEASE share if you find something that works good;-) am still tinkering around, vaping ok,but I would like it to be a little smoother,on some hits it is,and then on others not so much,it bubbles away after every hit which would lead one to believe that all is good in the neighborhood but then it will vape a little rough, spit a little and then back to smooth,I don't have that issue with my Sapor,it will either vape great if I nailed the wicking or it won't,SIGHHHH

So just rewicked and finally got it to vape smooth,I pretty much do it the same way as I wick the Sapor, wicks not to thick, not to thin cut at maybe 2 mm past the build deck, fluff them out real good then grab the ends with tweezers and plop them inside the holes making sure that the whole hole is sealed up,I found that if I fiddle around too much with the wicks I end up with an un smooth vape,it's a pet peeve of mine that my tanks must vape smoothly, any crackling,or roughness in the pull will just drive me insane,OSD? Maybe just a little I guess lol, hope this will help any out there that are the same as me;-)
