I think it's kind of funny how the BF Odin has exploded in popularity. I personally love it, but it's not a magic RDA. It's a larger 22mm atomizer that is easy to build on and has a pretty nice reduced chamber for dual coils with an adjustable airflow top cap. Perfect RDA for lung hitters. If you like your RM2s, RM3s, cyclones without AFC, ect... it's not going to replace those, but for LP Reo owners who like direct to lung vaping, it's great. It also works really well as a bottom feeder because the guys at LokiLab made the feed/drain hole right at the deck so you don't have any drain problems.

But let's not don't go all crazy and think this is "THE" bottom fed atomizer that will be the greatest vape you ever had. I really like it, but not all the time. If it's the only atomizer I had, I would probably get pretty frustrated when I wanted to vape with a tighter draw and more flavor. You can adjust the Odin's airflow, but it's never going to equal an RM2 or Cyclone on mouth to lung hits for flavor chasing. It wasn't designed for that kind of vaping.

I'm glad super_X_drifter (Russ) has found his absolute favorite setup in the Odin and has gone balls to the wall and switched everything he owns over to it, but remember, everyone vapes differently and not all tastes are the same. I feel like a Mom going "If super_X_drifter jumped off a cliff would you do it too?" LOL, but seriously, if you want to try out an Odin because you are dissatisfied with your current atomizer and have been looking to try something new (or not even dissatisfied, but just want to try something new), go for it, but please don't think that there is anything "wrong with you" if you get one and really are not crazy about it.

I personally have spent this last year all over the board when it comes to vaping and have found things I like about all different kinds of setups atomizer wise. I don't think I'm ever going to switch away from bottom feeders like the Reo, but I've figured out that I like different vapes on different days, and sometimes like different vapes at different TIMES of the day. I really don't enjoy blasting my lungs first ting in the morning with my .5 dual coil Odin. I much prefer a woodvil with an RM2 or my mini with a cyclone with fusion drip tip setup at about 1 ohm or so, but I've found that if I keep vaping that setup, somewhere around 1:00-2:00 in the afternoon, I get a little frustrated at the amount of vapor that I'm getting and switching over to the Odin is like a breath of fresh air (ironic no?).

Just wanted to put this out there because I keep seeing people mention that they really want an Odin because they feel they must be missing out on something great. For a frustrated lung hitter buying an Odin will be awesome, but for someone who is happy with their RM2 and vapes cig like (mouth to lung) then you are bound to be a little disappointed. It's still a well built atomizer, but not for everybody. Which is why there are not just one or two mod and atomizer styles and only a couple types of juice.

Enjoy your weekend peeps,

Kentastic

Great post! I'm glad I have one but it's for a change up, not my ADV. I'm a flavor guy and mostly vape around 1 ohm on single coils I even lung hit but my other RBAs give me better flavor.

Damn. look at the Loki (Craig's) involvement with us and customer service. It sucks that his posts got deleted (I understand why) because he is one of us. He's not in here to shamelessly pimp his products, he's not advertising the other stuff that he sells - he's talking about and backing the atty WE, US REONAUTS use. He owns ATLEAST one REO and REOnauts buy Odins and Odin people buy REOs. It's a natural synergy that falls within the gray area of the supplier TOS or atleast should (IMO) in here.

It's not often (very rare) that a vape gear producer with as much class as Craig takes the time to engage the end user. I can think of 3 - Rob, Craig, and one other friend. All of their products are kick AYuss and help sell each others.

I doubt he will come back but a maker sharing info, promoting what we want, offering us discounts and talking about a product WE (REOnauts) use should be encouraged throughout this great vil we call home - not deterred.

Agreed. Craig and LokiLab are the kind of people we should be actively encouraging at every chance, my point was not to disparage them or the Odin, just to dissipate some of the hype. I love my Odin because it fits in with my vaping style very well, but it's not for everyone, not because there is anything wrong with it, just that one atomizer cannot be everything to everyone.

I never even noticed the off-centerness of the catch cup on the full sized woodvils, you know what's weird... the 18490 woodvil's catch is centered.

the part of the RM2 that fits in the Woodvil is 14mm wide, so for a Woodvil your choices are RM2, RM3, Igo-s, Cyclone, Divo, Chalice and I'm sure a few others.

Good to know...thanks again. Btw your right about a few others. I have a Hornet that fits also. :)

I am excited to be getting my Odin for a few reasons. First I am a new Reo owner and have only vaped my Reo with the the rm2, so I feel like I have not experienced my Reo's full potential with just the one atty. Also I am a lung hitter who has never built or vaped a dual coil so I am excited to get into that. I understand that Super X's videos blowing up coinciding with the Odin being out of stock for a while has added to the hype, but I am hopeful that my Odin will be a staple in my vaping routine. I like my rm2 and I am sure that I will continue to use it, but I equate the addition of the Odin as having a threesome. The newest member seems different and more versatile so I expect she will be getting most of my attention for a while.

You sure about this. I even used the advanced search and still didn't come up with anything. I searched Loki Lab and the Odin... Nada...

Yes, I have been on that thread since June of last year. I just bumped it a few days ago.

I don't feel it appropriate to post a link here.

ETA: It's located inside the buyers/sellers section.

I fell into the category of, happy rm2 user that was looking to get into a larger atomizer but none of the vast many options stood out to me. With Craig and everyone else's help I can enjoy my Reo even more than I already did... I have a sneaking suspicion that Rob would approve this sort of conversation in a thread that is specifically about the Odin.

Yeah, I'm sure that Rob doesn't mind. However, out of respect, we should probably curb it a bit.

Nonetheless, the REO stands on its own, regardless of what I happen to top it with.

I ordered one today, just to experience something different. I modded a quasar last month, and I love how it is a very different experience from an rm2. I love my rm2s but, like many vapers, variety is what keeps it interesting. Other than beauty, why have several Reos if they all vape the same? My four all have very different characters to suit my mood, more choices than I ever had with camels! That's the magic of an LP reo, for me, a solid platform on which to customize your experience safely and reliably. In that spirit, I think rob would approve of his forum being a place to share our customizations. Within forum rules, of course!

It's obviously a kick AYuss atty. That's why I have 4 BF mods and 4 BF Odins and 4 routers. I don't have any other attys anymore.

Thanks for the share SXD. Your givin me all these ideas for when my comes. Can't decide between my 27 or 28 gauge. [emoji15]

I like 29 ga dual 6 wraps best. Just resurrected the 28 ga cause I was bored. 29 heats up quicker and is easier than 30 to work with :)

SuperX do any of your odins whistle? Mine whistles pretty badly.

I'm vaping on dual 26ga 10coil.

I get a little intake noise for sure. With all that air coming in, intake noise is just the cost of doing business. Rarely any whistling though. But I don't care. I get no noise on exhale unless I choke on all the vapor :)

kohkahhoe....try adjusting your airflow just a smidge. Usually takes care of the whistle.
I tried that too. About a quarter closed. Slight whistle. Still annoying though... Maybe I'm asking for the impossible haha...
maybe it's the placement of the coils in relation to the airholes?

That's true about the delay... I forgot about that. I believe I have 29 and 30. I'm used to my 6 wraps of 27awg heats up instantly. Wouldn't be able to do duals of that unless I wanted my battery to blow up...
6 wraps 29 sounds like what I should try first...

Hey what about kgd? I have the old school cvs rolled stuff that I have gotten real good with... What are the advantages of kgd? Maybe I should search first... Lol or not.
