Dachshunds have really changed. When I was a kid the only ones you saw were red or black and tan, now look at them.
More trivia: Irish Setters are red, but if you look at historical pictures of them they also came in red and white. It was considered a lost variant of the breed. Now they are back, but as a different breed - the Irish Red and White Setter. During the comeback the ACK standard may have changed, but that's where the breed came from.
