Well--total frustration again today trying to update the Radius. I am not too bad with computers so this has me totally stumped.

Yesterday I installed everything on my desktop PC. It all seemed installed correctly but it will not recognize the radius. I did try running it as 'administrator' and I did try to 'wake up' the Radius to get it to connect.

Today I started over and installed everything on my PC laptop--same problem.

I did make sure Windows was totally up to date on both computers.

On the laptop today when I plugged in the Radius--down at the bottom it said installing one the drivers failed. However when installing the program--the drivers installed. When I plugged in the other two Radius--it did not give me the 'driver' message at all.

I have tried all three Radius and not a single one is recognized--I just get a message to 'wait while device Data is Received' -- left one plugged in for an hour and nothing.

Any thoughts anyone??
Try to turn off your firewall and AV for a few minutes, and try the down load (update).

RyBryLawDudeGuy...brother...

He may have been a huge dee-eye-sea-kay about it, but that doesn't mean we have to sink to his level, or sit around and trash talk him with equal snarkiness.

I SUPER don't condone his behavior, past or present.

But we, as a whole, are better than that. And we've dealt with far worse, in far better ways.

(And notice I said we'd leave the fundraiser out. I'm just trying to make the point that we turned a negative into a positive, and look how it turned out for USMC and all involved!)

Nobody is mean to Lem ... he's a regular on the Provi threads ... I can't wait for his girl to get her Radius ;)

What color she get Lem?

I have a lot more confidence in my Xtar VP2 charger to correctly charge a battery than any mod.
If you were able to formulate this opinion with anything more than your feelings...

You may find that the R* Charging System is far more sophisticated than your cHINA cHARGER.

She ordered the red one.

Xtar isn't some cheap Chinese brand that makes cheap, generic chargers (but it is a Chinese company). They make some of the highest rated and best performing chargers on the market. Xtar chargers have been tested numerous times and the result is always very good to excellent. Until I see a CC/CV charge profile for the Radius and what the cutoff current is, I will put my faith in Xtar.

Perhaps then...

You should just say, In Lem's Opinion?!?

There is nothing wrong with your television set. Do not attempt to adjust the picture. I am controlling transmission. If I wish to make it louder, I will bring up the volume. If I wish to make it softer, I will tune it to a whisper. I will control the horizontal. I will control the vertical. I can roll the image, make it flutter. I can change the focus to a soft blur or sharpen it to crystal clarity.

For the next hour, sit quietly and hold me in your lap. I will control all that you see and hear and tell you when to go to the kitchen and get me a snack.
I repeat: there is nothing wrong with your television set. You are about to participate in a great adventure. You are about to experience the awe and mystery which reaches from the inner mind to – The Meow-ter Limits.

Bookmarked ... that narrative needs to stay w/ the picture. ;)

Batt life really has nothing to do with watts or ohms by themselves. It's the combination of the two. 15 w @2ohms will draw less than 15w@ 1ohm. The lower builds draw more amps which is why batt life is shorter. All batts are rated in milliamp hours or amp hours not watt hours.
In a regulated mod, 15w is 15w regardless of coil resistance, and will result in the same current draw and battery life

It's not the first time I brought up this concern so yeah, finally an answer.

Yes, you have been bringing this up for a while now...let's see ;) :

The wire with the brass connector and the threaded bushes embedded in the plastic are going to cause problems down the road. I find it unbelievable that Provape designed it this way. This simply is not how you do it. The battery connector probably won't cause too many issues but the threaded bushes are going to come loose, you can count on it.
NOPE, does not sound like a question, sounds more like a critique, I would never expect an answer for a statement, especially from the Manufacturer...

From what I can see in the video it doesn't look like they do. It looks like two small bushes embedded in the plastic. Can a Radius owner shed some light on this?
Well, this one sounds a bit like a question, but seeing the previous comment and tone, probably ignored as more negativity from poster...

Vape360 graciously answered your question, and rather quickly at that. He's a busy man, and frankly, your slap in the face reply to him has glaringly shown your true colors and intent. A little bit of humility and Class would not be much to ask, would it?

And this HBMandOfTheCorpseDude is why I have little empathy or kindness for someone who time and time again comes in here and with each visit manages to show a lack of respect over and over again. No, I have no kindness to share with someone who is constantly rude. I simply do not.

You,ll need to explain this. If 3 volts at 5 amps give you 15 watts and 5 volts at 3 amps give you 15 watts, how is the current draw the same? I don't get it. Seems like 5 is more than 3.

Because the current and volts the board delivers to the coil is completely independent from the current and power (power, not volts) drawn from the battery by the board. If we use a board with a 96% efficiency as an example, 3.7 volts as the nominal voltage and the power set to 23 watts, the board draws 23.96 watts (because the board isn't 100% efficient) and 6.48 amps from the battery. 23.96/3.7=6.48. The input side of the board never sees the resistance of the coil so it's always 23.96/3.7. It's only the output side of the board that sees the resistance of the coil and the board will change the output voltage based on the resistance of the coil to maintain the desired power setting.

rb, I find the judicial use of the ignore button really helps in situations like this. There was a certain person who I think may have moved to Prague that rubbed me the wrong way. My happiness on the forum was enhanced when I saw posts being blocked. Rudeness doesn't merit more the way it has been done here. The message was communicated, then piled on and on. It was painful for me to read all the posts. Enough, please?

You're right, I should just let it go. I just have a hard time with this one, but I'll try to be less vocal about it.

Since it was asked about puff counter. Charging times etc here are several notes from yesterday. Vaping at 15 watts 1.1 ohms.

4.20 volts according to my external battery charger at 2pm yesterday.

4908 for the puff count.

1am. 3.63 volts according to the charger.
Puff count. 5219

7am still charging. 730. Done charging. Used the radius charger. Connected to wall outlet using the same power block as my iPhone. Did not vape while charging.
