Not meaning to knock your decision but it seems silly to me to quibble over what amounts to about 10 minutes charge time difference. 1amp is the max safe charge rate for an IMR/ICR type cell and its recomended to charge no higher than 500Ma for optimum batt life.
He's been looking for a reason why Radius isn't for him. Which is fine. Safe devices are not for everyone, right?
But I have to think about tonight's news in relation to vape safety and in particular battery safety. There's a 21 year old man here in Florida who is in an induced coma today, clinging to life, after his mod blew up in his face. And what have they surmised thus far about this awful accident? They said on the news It was likely caused by either not using the right battery for his mod, or by not charging the battery appropriately. Imagine that? A mod, being used by a young man, who (and I'm guessing here) was probably a sub ohm'er who likely didn't know diddly about vaping safety, but who surely puts a black eye on vaping as a whole and who has now given yet more reasons for vaping to be regulated.
The reality is (and let me say I have nothing personal against Lem) but people who feel they know more about charging a battery and who would reject a device because Provape chose the safest method possible for charging the battery in their device are likely people who might not use a Radius safely anyway.
Just my .02 worth. Flame me if you wish..........
