As I've said before ... 420 couldn't even give a proper review on the durability of a wet paper bag.

Happy Friday Everyone!

We have the update page updated, for updates using the update software. Phew, that was a lot of update.

You can now download the Radius software and there is a new version available: Ver 18. This fixes a small issue that a few people have seen where the display won't turn on all the time when the button is pressed.

If you have any issues with the update software, please email: software@provape.com for assistance rather than posting on the forum, it will be easier to troubleshoot any issues directly and we can go back and forth faster to answer questions. Also note that you should install the software first before plugging your Radius into the PC's usb port to allow the drivers to be installed.

Anytime we release a new version of the programmer software, the old version won't work and you will just have to download the latest version to get updates. The program will instruct you to download the newest version when this happens.

Why do these dopes always rag on the menu system? They all worship the SXJ, and that has the most hostile UI I've had the (dis)pleasure of using in any consumer level device, and the dna 200 is hardly a walk in the park:rolleyes:

With the possible exception of the Dicodes offerings.

Watch a review of The Pipeline Pro 2 sometime.

Your head will explode.

I've got a Dani Extreme V2 which uses the same chip so my head is officially exploded:eek:. I like Provape's menu system, with the P3 you can make all the adjustments with your thumb without altering your grip on the mod. Never got the griping about ito_O

Just a quick update, I updated my firmware so hopefully my issue is resolved:thumbs:Also apologies if I caused any confusion about the button lights, I couldn't remember whether they lit up or not so checked a video and it looked as if they didn't so I panicked:oops:

The YouTube comments are hilarious. Who was it that said "The common man is a fool"? Yea, that.

Just Googled it, H.L. Mencken.
With one or two exceptions the mainstream reviewers are becoming increasingly irrelevant to me. They all vape in exactly the same way, review the same tired parade of me too drippers and sub-ohm clearos and when confronted with anything that requires more than the minimum of technical knowledge pass the buck to Pbusardo.
A case in point, the new sweetheart mod is the Wismec Reuleaux DNA200. I want to know whether the mod comes correctly configured from the manufacturer with the case thermals and mod resistance values set. How do you configure your battery settings when using three 18650s as opposed to a LiPo? All I've got from the reviewers so far pretty much amounts to:

Sorry for the rant:lol:

Nice work and thank you! Just ran the update and all is well in Vegas :) You know what my fav part of the install was? Can you guess? HA! USABILITY rocks with a visual cue! The power button turns red semi flashy on the R while the firmware upgrade is running on the R to "reinforce" the green progress bar on the screen. When completed the power button flashed a few colors similar to a new bat install which also reinforced the screen display. Very fast and the driver install after the required reboot only took about 20 seconds and yes I was timing it because I'm still a geek. Running Win 7 Pro :)

Hey PROVAPE! I'm wondering are there risks while updating the chip?

- What happens when the USB gets disconnected/PC gets shut off in the middle of the update?

- Can I skip this update if I have NO issues with the menu not showing when the fire button is pressed? Can I install a future update without having this one installed? As in skipping patches.

just wondering, im looking at a dicodes, evolv or possibly a radius mod. can someone please tell me why provape hasnt touched on TC in this device? it looks like a solid mod and scrolling menus are fine with me. im just having difficulty justifying spending $200 on 40 watt device. im lookin for an accurate device and so far it looks like evolv is at the top then provape and lastly dicodes IMO. thanks guys.

I am getting close to getting two of the Radius devices, and although this question will probably not make a difference, has anyone heard if ProVape will someday be supporting USB software updates on a Mac running OS X. I converted 100% to Apple over a year ago, and probably never to return to Windows...just a decision I made....Kinda like Apple builds their products just like ProVape - They just work!

OK - ignore the above...Just got an email response from ProVape...Although they cannot promise this, it is under consideration, and no ETA. I will just go next door and use a friends PC!

anything that requires more than the minimum of technical knowledge pass the buck to Pbusardo.

And Phil then feigns enough technical knowledge to convince people he has a clue of how DC circuits actually work.

Good times.

I love the guy, he's one HELL of an entertainer. But he's as much an EE as Rush Limbaugh is a politician.

There is no risk of bricking the device, so if something happens you can always start over anywhere in the process of updating.

You can also skip updates and you don't need to update incrementally. :)
