Nicotine will always exist and be available as will PG,VG, cotton, types of wire and batteries.

I don't doubt that nicotine will always exist.

However, I don't think the "and be available" part of that (if true in the longrun at all), will be anything like it is now. IMO, if it IS available...it'll be much more expensive, then also taxed to the maximum allowed by law, and probably not for sale at all to the everyday person or DIYer like it is now.

In case I'm right, I'm prepared and have nothing to worry about, regarding any escalation in cost, taxation, or imposed restrictions on buying it. If I'm wrong, I'll simply be well-prepared and will have most likely saved a bunch of money by buying it when it was readily available for $40-50 per Liter. Either way, it's a win-win situation for me personally. :)

How do you doubt nicotine will always exist??
Nicotine is extracted from tobacco plants. Is tobacco an endangered plant? Is it about to go extinct? That's right its not, so nicotine will always exist.

Unless tobacco is about to become illegal it wont be too much effort too extract it from purchased tobacco plants and/or seeds. If tobacco is banned too then gov'ts will have to ban eggplants because one could extract nicotine from that too.

You would need an awful lot of eggplants.

What are you arguing or disagreeing with me about? I said, "I don't doubt that nicotine will always exist." It's even in the part of my post you quoted!!

I see the taxation happening most of all. Still local ordinances and laws will be in place. A lot of people, businesses, and rule-making people still see it in a negative way.

For mods, I went with proven mods and mech bottom-fed AND spare parts. For toppers , I went back to tried and true re-buildable ones that I have encountered and bought them in groups. I got spare parts for those, too.

I just don't bother experimenting on hardware. I am happy.

For juice, I DIY. That, I believe, just entails stocking nicotine. Although my whole intention was quitting smoking and lowering nicotine, and I have done that, I still enjoy it for the urge to sit and relax on the porch.

Stocking up and being self-sufficient is wise in my mind. I have not bought anything since the beginning of June or July.

Good luck.

Hi Team,

Probably already been covered somewhere but is Vaping here to stay? I mean with the deeming regs/FDA and all?
or do we need to start stockpiling?

Cheers

Anthony
Best advice

  • Be very active in your local and national politics in support of Vaping
  • Learn how to DiY, both juice and building coils
  • Focus on buying gear that is rebuildable
  • Establish a respectable and healthy stockpile

Very wise saying, "Hope for the best but be prepared for the worst"

There's a new sheriff in town , those deeming regulations will get watered down or outright repealed as they are attached to other regulations that are guaranteed to get repealed by the new republican controlled House, Senate and white house.

And if it doesn't get watered down or repealed what really will be affected is flavors. You will see an immediate decline in choice of eliquids, currently there are literally thousands of different eliquid flavors. Just get a half dozen or so high end RTA's made of 316L just in case. Nicotine will always exist and be available as will PG,VG, cotton, types of wire and batteries.

Don't put too much faith in this administration, remember that Stool Sample that is the incoming VP is Pence. He's the Stool Sample that signed into law that destroyed Vaping in Indiana. Which BTW the law is under criminal investigation for corruption on a massive scale.

I know that, and that's why Pence will distance himself from it. Plus, he's Vice President now. I'm sure he has other larger issues he wants to address.

Grover Norquist who is a powerful Republican lobbyist who is famous for making all republican candidates sign tax pledges has consistently and publically advocated for vapers. Now he is head of a lobbying firm whose sole purpose is to repeal and scrap all FDA over-regulation of the vaping industry. And to make things sweeter Norquist is from the alt-right Breitbart,Bannon,Conway movement who managed Trump's campaign and helped him get elected when his campaign was hanging by a wire.
