Dual Coil 510 Tank Cartomizer...That's a better price than fasttech's $10.42 (although the FT one is Glass and 6.0ml.)

$10.42 Splash Anodized Glass Carto Tank Kit (6.0mL) - 1.8ohm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Gun Metal Artemas Tube..."Locking Bottom cap to keep your carto from sliding out"...I've never had a CartoTank "slide out". Had one with a "locking cap" and all it did was slow me down when refilling.

Hands-on review:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-not-close-being-waterproof-mod-part-1-a.html

This is the cheapest glass carto-tank that I know of. It's a generic version of the Smoktech pyrex carto-tank.

ETA: And, I recently bought a http://www.madvapes.com/slim-pyrex-dct.html. It's the same type, but slim enough to look good on an eGo battery. Very cute.

Ya'll gotta see this! It's a waterproof - shockproof VV/VW box mod.
E-LVT Waterproof + Shockproof VV/VW MOD [ELVTMOD] - $99.99 :

Hope it links, it's one of the coolest things I've ever seen! Talk about durable!!!

Andria, you say you're a klutz, here's YOUR APV!

Yikes... maybe mine, AFTER I win the lottery! I keep hoping that since I quit smoking, I've got better karma and the universe will smile on me and agree with my 6 numbers. :D

But considering I usually have my iTaste sitting right there when I'm fixing dinner... you may be right, this may be the right one for me. So far I've had no mishaps with the iTaste (other than destroying that first iClear16 I tried), but that can't last. ;)

Speaking of smoktech pyrex... I was using my ARO this morning with my usual morning mix, and got a distinct metallic taste. Is that normal? Is it just my weird taste buds going thru connimptions? I have no way of knowing. I've switched now to my Virginia, and it tastes normal, so I thought I'd ask if anyone else has gotten a metallic taste from the ARO. Don't think it's the mix itself, it never tasted metallic before this (I've used it for the last 4-5 mornings).

We got to see one the other day at a B&M. Kind of reminds me holding a pipe. It's a bit heavy, but I can see why people would like it. Any chance you have a B&M around that either carries it or maybe someone who works there has one that you could see?

Oh man, I hope not. lol, I really don't need more mechs.

I keep looking at that hammer but don't want to drop coin until I see one in person. Let us know how you like it. Don't poke your eye out.

I like it myself. It is heavy. But that just means it is your friend in dark alleys. :D
It works very well and so far is the first mech I've had that fires every time. 'Course... Most of my mechs are cheap, so...

yep...that is what i saw as well. Looks a little large compared to my MVP. Seems kind of silly to go through all that for a "durable" device when a basic mech is $30 bucks. That is what i use when i go camping or boating.

I was wondering about a mech and if its more like what I'm looking for. Not really into the box mods. But then I read that the mechs can be dangerous. I have a basic understanding of Ohm's law, resistance, electronics and all, but I'm just starting to learn about batteries. Good thing I'm happy with my Zmax for the foreseeable future!

It took me two months to get rid of the last two or three a day (and I still want the first one when I wake up) but it is close to six months now. There is a problem with the signatures. I'm painfully honest, and I don't honestly remember what day was my last cigarette, so that rules out a lot of the "since my last cigarette" signatures.

I think you're close enough! Does the exact day really matter all that much? I bet there's others too who have the exact day wrong, but as long as you're close it's all good!

I was really surprised how well he took it and the questions he asked. More professional and scientific type questions, that I answered the best I could. He certainly didn't give the impression that he was against it in any way and you know how some doctors are. We talked about the recent study about 2nd hand vapor and that there is no danger to the vapers or anyone around them. And I relayed what information I could remember. My memory sux, it's a medical thing, he's aware of it. His wife smokes and he's always on her about it. I think she will be the first one he approaches and I'll probably get a call from Jennifer (his wife). We're fairly good acquaintances, wouldn't say friends, but not the normal Dr/patient relationship. I'd do anything I could to help them out. He didn't even charge me for draining my knee, just the usual $50 office fee. (That's my rate anyway, he knows the financial situation.) Oh and he also said that me not smoking would certainly save me money and asked how much it 'cost' me to vape each month, in relation to the amount I spent on cigs. Told him it was $190 for smokes and about $30 for juice (me diy'ing of course). He was amazed at the cost difference. If I had to buy juice, it would probably cost me from $60-90 a month, but that's still half as much, if not more. Was a really good conversation and I feel like we got 1 more person on our side. :)

If you go to the Forum page and scroll down you can find study info that your doc might be interested in and he could use it to show others.
Here's the latest one I'm familiar with from Dr. Burstyn from Drexel Univ. that he might be interested

ah it worked thanks

Hey there Roger and welcome to the porch! I've heard of others with cats who love their vapes, but our 2 are not interested at all. Of course ours go frantic for fruit yogurt so...

Andria - does your coil need cleaned? Wick need cleaned or replaced? That is the only time I've noticed an off taste. Let me know what you find, so I can watch out too. I love my Aro's :p

I don't really know, but I just started using it about a week ago, for maybe 60-90 mins a day, so... probably not, I don't think. It's probably just my taste buds having a cow, they seem to be doing that a lot lately. I'll taste something that I've been consuming for, I dunno, 30 yrs? 40 yrs? and it's like WTH is that?!?! Then the next taste is fine.

If I taste metal tomorrow I'll open it up and have a look.

If I had to make just 1 guess why you got the metallic taste, I'd guess dry hit. If the clearomizer was partly empty and you had it lying on its side the coil could have drained of e-liquid. Then when you picked it up and went to vape the coil didn't wick fast enough. If there was any gunk built up on the coil it would have burnt and that taste will stick around. I'm talking about a mostly clean coil so you'd be getting a mixture of burnt and normal. If it was rather gunked up you'd be stuck with nothing but burnt taste but that isn't what you described.

Progress report:

I picked my son up at 4:00AM at the county jail. I gave him his Christmas present. My next door neighbor is about his age, and an OK person who smokes (RYO). I dropped son off there, because he has a spare sofa. He did buy a bottle of Mad Dog. I woke up from a nap, and checked on them. Son has not smoked. Neighbor is trying out son's spare equipment. They have been experimenting with mixing. Son refused any instruction in the art, says it is self-explanatory (nic base is 36mg).

Of course, I know that the nurse at the jail is an avid vaper.

Wait. What? What was ou son doing in jail? Was he picked up for being drunk?
No. More serious than that. Has been self-destructive with dextromethorphan and smokables. Just finished three months. Has had enough treatment, and knows better than to go back to old friends. I am sending him to his father in a few days, on advice from lawyer and judge. Alcohol use never was that great. It goes back to some people who were emotionally abusive to him.

learn the battery bits... basically a mech is a battery holder and switch. There is no VV/VW (unless your one of those weenies that want to put a kick in it...dont get me started). As long as you know your ohms and have a quality battery your good to go. If you start cloud chasing and building sub-Ohm then you really need to understand how many amps your drawing and the amp limits of your battery. Its all pretty easy. I love the simplicity of my K100 and with a RDA it provides a great quality vape. The telescoping aspect is nice since i dont have to carry differnt battery tubes. I run a 18350 for stealth mode and a 18650 for extra battery life.

Sorry to hear about your son Omg, Hopefully he'll be ok now and into the future.

We're in the middle of another blizzard here in western NY. :( The good thing is I didn't have to go to work today so I guess there's something good about all this snow and wind. :)

Built my first RM2 coil Sunday night for my Reo. Not hard at all and got in the ohm range I was hoping for pretty easily. Problem was I was getting far too many dry hits and the taste just wasn't very good. No matter what I did I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I'd determined it was a good coil because when I dripped from the top down it was fantastic, just not when on the Reo feeding it from the bottom up, Suddenly I realized that with all that playing I'd never taken the top off to check how much juice it was getting when feeding from the bottom. DUH  Long story short, a problem with the tubing was preventing enough juice from getting to the coil. Fixed the tubing and all was fine. :) Amazing how what should be the most obvious still manages to escape us sometimes when our vaping toys aren't working as we know they should.

You just aren't living large till you have to go to the jail to get your kid. Ever notice they don't get in trouble till after 2 am. I have one with frequent flyers miles with surrounding townships. He is now 36 and hasn't had a issue for 9-10 years. I hope he's grown up but I keep my gas tank full. He is also the one I can't convert to vaping. Aggggh
