It all depends. Do you persevere in doing what doesn't work, or do you persevere in creative attempts to find out what does work? A world of difference.

My comment was not intended to have enough depth to inspire serious questions.

But OK, when one persists in doing what doesn't work until it does work, that doesn't fit either side of that coin. It's "practice doesn't often make perfect but it frequently improves the results."

Is there any way to copy a gif? I tried but only got the image of the Prof.

I'd like to email it to that woman who told me last weekend that ecigs emit formaldehyde, with the tag line:

"This is what happens to me when I vape!"

I right click and click save as when I swipe em, then it loads onto my computer Then I use the picture thingy in the bar ^ up there (the thing with the tree in it) to put em on here. Beyond that ya need to ask one of the puter folks

The only place on the planet where you can't ("USUALLY") right clik on a gif to save it is here. No clue why. Just wants to save it as a jpg.

But all is not lost. Just LEFT click on it and drag it to yer desk top.

OK, that worked... thanks Gary.

But what I also found is: you have to open it with the right program. Once it's on your computer, right click it and choose "open with"... with IE and Firefox it animates, with the picture viewer/editors I have, it doesn't... nor does it animate inside an email, dang it!

Animated gifs are meant to be viewed in a browser. So yeah, they work here. Some viewers "might" animate them. I dunno of any editors that will. At least, not without some tinkering.

As far as email.... no, they won't. You can kinda trick the email program by linking to the gif on the web so it "seems" like the email is viewing it but it isn't.

I can send and receive gif images in emails with my gmail email account. I am not referring to linked images, I am referring to sending and receiving actual self-contained files which display in the body of the email.

This is also not an April Fools joke, but those of us who subscribe to MFS emails got one from them today.

Animated gifs, biggie? :) Could be some email progs will view them. Now to clarify... I never ever used outlook. I was on line before they invented it. :) And as far as my email... I have html shut off so I usually don't see much. I use mailwasher to filter and some of the email progs I use will view html I usually have to turn it on to see it. And I don't. :)

Yes, animated gifs. Can't figure out what Outlook has to do with it, but I've never used it either. I do not have a grasp on how and why it works with gmail but not with your email program, although I'll make a partial guess that might be a useful clue to someone who has a grasp of the various platforms and methods: Gmail is web-based.

I've been askin some questions about gifs on the BP if y'all wanna check it out....am looking into photobucket
You're looking for gifs related to Blood Pressure? Big Pharma? I'll see what I can find but still get baffled when you make up your own acronyms without giving the full name of what you're referring to.

Just thinkin outlook "might" do them since it's microslop and they may tie to a browser somehow. But gmail... Yeah online mail would be browser based. Yahoo, hotmail, etc., would likely do it as well.
