Which color you like best?

(hint: the red ones taste like fruit, the brown ones taste like... umm... well, at least it ain't
SOYLENT GREEN! ghaaaaaaa!)

The 650 must be about the size of a peanut.

Rough day. Glad to make it back to the Porch. Alternating Mr Vape and Tribeca right now and that sure does hit the spot.

Gonna order some all in one RY4 flavorings tonight. What vendor has top quality unflavored I can get in 3mg nic, 60 - 70% VG? I have Mt. Baker 50/50 but it's 6mg for the nautilus ADV tank. How does the MBV rate? Could I do better for the same money?

Figured I'd start with TPA Double RY4 and go from there. Maybe try the Flavour Art RY4 as well. They seem to be popular. Any essentials I should throw in that you DIY veterans can think of for making a decent RY4?

Might order a charger tonight, too. Pretty much decided on an xtar unless there is something else I should get.

Make your own unflavored. Don't even argue about it, just do it. A gallong of PG at Tractor Supply is $23. I guess they also sell VG for about the same. Humbly suggest you buy perhaps a small amount of 60mg/ml nic to start out until you get comfortable handling it. You'll save a TON of money that you can use to buy new shiny toys. Order a couple of syringes with wide bore, blunt tip needles where you order your nic and you will be good to go. When you are, we can point you to a good calculator or two to figure out ratios. Save your old bottles to mix in.

Wish now I had gone ahead and bought an xtar. The nitecore i4 I bought 2 years ago is still doing fine but the xtars have more features.

First charger was a Pila that literally fried at six months. Nitecore was a dud out of the box. Love my Xtar! Four bay and tells me how the charge is coming along. They turn chargers out by the zillions so a dud here and there is going to happen.

Agreed! I still luv 'Edith Ann'...

God I used to love Saturday Night Live! She was a hoot. Looks like it says Iffy on the cover of that book. ;)

Maybe it's mixed when ordered, and their motto is:

We'll ship no juice before it's steeped?

Now there's a good (not) excuse for being slow if I ever heard one.

Strange... she seems perfectly. Or mål to ME.

On another note, I think I may have bought some bum coils. In my Davide's, I use the kanger wicks, and didn't feel like rebuilding... So I put in some I bought a while back.
6 watts... 2.56 coils... And I keep getting dry hits!
I'm going to try removing the flavor wicks and see of that helps...
Any other suggestions ?
Replace the whole wick. Been through my share of those bad coils and only thing that helped was replacing the wick. I've come to wonder if there was something besides just silica in those wicks (even floor sweepings since some came out of the coil in little clumps, not as a "string"). When they're bad, they're horrible.

Just in case anybody was fooled, Tomlin was an exceptionally fine looking woman whenever she was out of character. Not a sexist comment, but sometimes you just can't help noticing.

My Nitecore charger has been good.
It charges batteries correctly to according to a multimeter I recently got.

Speaking of which it is a palaver trying to read resistance.
One prong on the 510 screw and the other on the outer threads then waiting for two minutes while it fluctuates readings.
Already knew the reading of an arty I was checking so waited until it got it.
Oh well before that even you need to touch the prongs together and get a number then minus that from the next reading.
Doesn't matter though have an ohm meter for that and got it to check volts in batteries.

I dunno. I have a nitecore D4 and I really have no idea what the xtar could do that this doesn't.

-and-

Nitecore d4 specs

  • Capable of charging 4 batteries simultaneously
  • Each of the four battery slots monitors and charges independently
  • Compatible with and identifies Li-ion (26650, 22650, 18650, 17670, 18490, 17500, 18350, 16340(RCR123), 14500, 10440), Ni-MH and Ni-Cd (AA, AAA, AAAA, C) rechargeable batteries
  • Integrated LCD panel clearly displays charging parameters and progress
  • Automatically stops charging when complete

I haven't shopped chargers in a couple of years, didn't even know about the D4... looks like it now has the features of the xtar I looked at "back then"... mainly the screen showing the charge state. Nice.

naw.... more applinian... Ipad problems... for some reason, I have problems hitting the "n" and "m"... then if I don't catch it, it "corrects" my spelling.

I don't say I 'despise' very many things in life, but auto-correct is one of them... it's never correct! I always turn it OFF.

If'n I want to misspel sumpin, that's MY prerogative.

----------> Poking my nose in the door to say Hi! I know it has been awhile again - but I guess I am just the quiet type

Figured with the 15,000,000 post contest I better get some entries in. I am thinking it has been probably 6 months since I last visited so - about time to pop in for a visit.

I had just ordered a pink iStick 20 the last time I posted and I liked it so much I have since ordered a blue iStick 30 as well as a black MVP30. The MVP30 works very well - but I have to admit that the weight and size of the iStick 20 & 30 is much better for taking out.

Still using mostly Kanger Protanks, Evods and T3s for toppers - since they work for me - I haven't ventured into any of the latest and greatest that I keep reading about. Seems like every time I do venture out and try something new - it just ends up in the vaping stash and I go back to the above that work the best for me.

I have been reading and trying to keep up with everyone's news - but don't ask me to remember what all I have read.....

Seems like time has just flown by in the last six months - since my husband retired we have done a fair bit of travelling - cruise to Hawaii, a month in Phoenix and a trip to Vegas. In all of our travelling the iSticks and even the MVP have worked great. Easy to charge and they last so much better that the old Spinners and Twists and are definitely easier than having to take batteries and charges along.

A big Hello and Welcome to all the new folks.

Not sure how all of this is going to turn out - since I have not done any posting since the new software - so please forgive me if this messes up. Looks like I have some re-learning to do for posting pictures - so for now I am pictureless......

Going to try to get on to the back porch more often - to least to say hi since I don't have too much news that qualifies for the front porch.

Couldn't get back to sleep after my usual middle of the night trip to the powder room, so here I am y'all.

Shot a couple of pics of my "to-go" setup for another thread yesterday. I use a Nintendo 3DS case I got from Amazon. It's a good size and holds quite a bit, esp. since I graduated to high-mah regulated mods.

I've never had to use the KGD or 26g wire (yet), but keep it in anyway... just for the eventually inevitable emergency, don'tcha know.

Well, guess I'll go poke around the rest of the forum for a change. Might as well start the coffee maker too, looks like I'm up for the day!

I ran this through my Menglicocktran (Merkan to English Cockney translator) :
"Lord luv yer sir, were it that I wished to err in the spelling of something, that would be entirely at my own volition dear boy, an' no mistake."
I think I must have had the Coward preference selected though. Or maybe the Wilde.
Any road up, that phrase is going straight into my "Speakin' Proper 'merkan" primer.

Oh! I'd never seen Edith Ann before. I screamed in places; "some of them, I like them. Some of them, I do not!" A very clever lady. I can see another few hours in the gas-lit end of youtube ahead of me.

Laugh-In, the 70's TV show Edith Ann and Lily Tomlins' other characters were on, was my absolute favorite back then. Never thought about reliving those times on utoob, I'll have to check that out.

I see some chat about Nitecore D4 chargers. When I looked at these a few weeks ago I came across this clone warning. Be warned!

Thanks for the heads-up... guess they're cloning everything these days.

Learn something new every day! Never heard of the Menglicocktran, but:

Ya got me! I do like to mix "big words" with 'merican Southern Redneck colloquialisms.

Variety is the spice of life, y'all.

Daydreaming last night. those are also at the top of my list. Other picks:
6 x 30ml bottles of the exclusive One Stop Flavors or One Stop Blends.
A Joyetech eVic-VT VW Full Kit - 5000mAh, a 50W Heatvape Invader Mini VW MOD Express Kit
I doubt that the first prize winner could walk away with all those!

Welcome back! Yeah, once retired, it's hard to figure out how we had time to work :thumb:

While the evods are bit small in capacity for me, I have a lot of the rest (and similar in the Davide lineup) in my rotation as well as a mess of KFs and other rebuildables, and all of those get built to around 1.7/1.8 as well. As long as the topper delivers the experience you want, why not? Sturdy, reliable - heck, I even still use a couple of MT3 - with S bases, of course - that are over two years old and still going fine.

Unless, of course, you're looking to win a cloud competition, rather than "just" be an EX-smoker. :D

I have never known of or found a way to access the Hangout via Google Plus. The only way I know to access it is by opening my browser and pasting the Hangout URL into it. I have the URL bookmarked in my browser.

ECF changes the URL whenever someone posts a link to it, so here is the actual URL. To make it a working URL, you must delete the space I inserted after "https".

If I understood it right, 1st place winner gets their pick on which thing they want, then others as they are drawn get their pick of remaining. My top things are the $150.00 to wizard labs, The Reo grand of course, and the RTD vapor package, since I need to order some batts from them and have been wanting that charger, even tho I don't need it.

wb Kari.......mmmmm hawaii.....so wanna go there some time!
