It has been a while since I've been in here, lots of info I have missed. I am very happy right now. My favorite juice is Rumchata that I get from my local B&M. I am starting to DIY my liquids and was looking over TFA's website. They are offering Rumchata! Now I just have to wait for my order from them and start trying to duplicate it. Has anyone else had any luck at it? So far I am happy with the Cherry/Vanilla/Rum that I have mixed. I need to mix up another one and let it steep for a few days.

Congrats Metal Storm. I know how much of an accomplishment 10 years is as I am a friend of Bill W. myself.

Good to hear from you, Diver. Glad you are on the right path. It was the only option left for me so it hasn't been easy but not too hard either. The time has gone by so fast.

Have you tried the Pirate RY4 from them, the one Bill has been talking about? I went ahead and ordered some along with Hangsen RY4. 130ml of juice came out to 12-13 dollars.

Normally don't like the high PG stuff but I'm interested enough to try this.

Congrats on the new gear.

No I have not. Can't do over 50 pg, less is better. Looking forward to hearing how you like it. :)

I am 61 and switched to vaping 5 months ago after 35+ years of smoking. I have not done the math on the exact number of years I smoked 40 maybe?

Hi Robert! I have seen ya around the forum, welcome to the best porches anywhere! I know Deb already gave you a link to the back porch. Pull up a rocker and enjoy the fun!

I can't do it either but I'm going to anyway. I think the Halo Tribeca is a higher PG mix as well. Not sure but it vapes like it. This has been fun and there's still so far to go with it. Quick Nic and Butterfly's are coming next. Tribeca really is good though you should try it if you haven't.

The Delrin tips are not bad for that though.
I use a plastic DT but even that wouldn't be soft enough while sitting in a vibrating recliner. Might try it after a couple of beers though.

I just came up with a nice peach.
this is for 15 ml.
2.5 ml flavor Concentrates Peach
.5 ml Flavor Apprentice Peach Juicy
10 drops liquid Stevia.
Nic to your desire and 50/50 PG/VG for the balance.
People here are just nutty about peach. They're probably all off mixing some right now, lol.

I was in the Navy and knew if I wanted to make it a career I had to make a change. 26 March 1986 was the day I made the change. Seems like it was just yesterday. Now the day I stopped smoking and started vaping is another very important day to me. Doing DYI is going to be a game changer. Frees me up from trips to the B&M to spend money on over priced juice.

If you like fruit vapes they are the easiest to get going with in DIY.

I was house-cleaning, stuck a yard-stick under the sofa, just to see what I could find. Lo, and behold, I found the rice-pin from my nemesis!! :D Re-installed it, but kept the one I had fabricated from a screw, just in case the little thing tries to run away again.

Awesome! You found that dang tiny little thing. Unbelievable when it happened, wasn't it.

Thank you kindly.

Heavens! Would a bit of counselling help?

Thank you!

I guess we mustn't stray off topic too far but I love the friendly world of OpenSource. It's always a shock to stray into the shark infested waters of MS, Apple and co. I run Fedora and Mint, neither of which is perfect but, for a guy who started out on punched paper tape, they're astoundingly good. I run my mobile on Cyanogenmod (Android without the Google bits) but I find it a nightmare to use. At the moment I'm trying to find a place to share my Linux/LibreOffice version of Scubabatdan's fabulous mixing spreadsheet.

Would a bit of counselling help? <---- too funny.

I remember when they were saying Unix would never make it outside the university environment. Fast forward quite few years ... and we were running a large global company on Unix servers. he, he. Then a nightmare struck and the top IT honcho's said, lets switch to Microsoft Enterprise Servers. Oh drat!

Congrats Metal - that's a wonderful achievement. Good for you.

I'm 66 and started my new non smoking life 6 months ago. Started smoking at 14 because I thought it was cool. Now I am really cool-- I'm vaping lol

Welcome to the porch Brvfan. That's great 6 months smoke free!

Fastest a Fasttech order ever got to me! Shipped May 21. Accepted May 22, preparing shipment May 23. I figured I had at least a week before signing up for email notifications from USPS. Checked on a whim on May 25, already in NY! Delivered today (well, waiting at the post office for my return home). Record time for my FT experience.

It is several Taifun bases, tanks/chimneys, a Kayfun and a Russian to play with :)

Let the games begin. :vapor:

kewl!!

Well........I'm not happy.......found out today that the Governor signed Tx SB 97 yesterday. I figured he would, but still not happy about it. It's still not as bad as other states, but really annoying to have to pay extra for age verification, and have to be home to sign for stuff, and hope the mailman actually rings the bell. Still not sure how they'll handle it with the 18, 19, and 20 yr olds for whom the PO does not offer that service. Also, if any company is found to have sold to minors (even online) for the next 2 years they have to submit records to the comptroller's office with name addy etc of everyone they sell to by the 10th day of each month!! None of the dang comptroller's business what I'm buyin!!!

Oh crap! That really sucks big time Deb. :-x

I do like the fruits. I am going to mix up a peaches and cream tonight and set it steep for a couple days (if I can wait that long). Might even do a banana.

I agree Tribeca is good. Was one of the first juices I ever had when I started vaping. But the high PG I just can't do so had to move on.

Dang, I came in here meaning to post this. A new member, emolinare, posted a link to a liquid calculator he made. It's pretty cool. I'm vaping the equivalent of 7-10 cigarettes a day, that would be down from 45 when I smoked, and forget how much I'm saving a week, but it's a lot. Here's the thread

Been thinking of doing a little DIY myself but pretty sure I'll make something awful.

I remember wearing dirty clothes all the time because I spent every last dollar on booze, pills and cigarettes. Regularly waking up in the floor not knowing what happened. Dreading the fact I was going to lose yet another job because I was too hungover to go in. I hope to have as much time as you some day. Tomorrow is 4 months smoke free for me.

One question I have on DYI is sweeteners. Can I use liquid Agava as a sweetener, actually it is Agava in the Raw, Organic Agava Nectar?
No idea on that. I use liquid Stevia I get at GNC. NIce sweet and no aftertaste.

I have been trying to make something lemony. So far it is only good for furniture polish :( NOt giving up yet though.
