Today's haul from Charlotte, NC via Anaheim, CA:

Sexy :w00t: but I would prefer black buttons. If these work well, Eleaf is going to have some serious competition on their hands. With a Subtank running around $35, this is a $25 50 watt mod that uses replaceable 18650s.

Redesigned RBA Deck. Them is some big juice holes.

The OCCs that came with the tank are indeed the new BVC so I guess it's BVCOCC now. The ones that came in the 5 pack are the old horizontal coils. I have never received any vapemail that had been opened but the outer box definitely had been torn open by hand. Everything was there and the plastic wrap on the kit box was intact so NBD. Gonna wick it and give it a try later.

Yep, like Semi- said, keep us posted on how you like it and does it have decent regulation. I'm not too trusty of our iStick 50's and may be looking to replace them.

I only bought one order from Fastech some cheap tanks and I sold those at cost to another guy who wanted them badly.
I buy over the net from domestic suppliers.
But I may someday again buy from Chinese suppliers, no promises. My local B&M's do not cater to tootle puffers, just cloud chasers.
I didn't buy from FT for a looong time. When I ordered something, I wanted it yesterday, plus I didn't want the hassle. It was worth it to pay a bit more and have it a couple of days later. Now I order some small things from FT and by the time the package gets here, it like Christmas because I've forgotten what I ordered in the several intervening weeks.

Think some of them order from Fastech?
Heck yeah.

I think more have the same issues with juice that i do. Just not as bad. Vapers tounge? I can vape the Fc fruit all day long every day and no vapers tongue or numb mouth. It is some of the artificial ingredients.
There are a lot of people that seem to have problems with the artificial sweeteners. What bothers me is the growing trend to blame everything on PG. International Space Station got knocked out of its orbit yesterday, must have been the Russians. Oh wait, no, it was the PG.

I think busardo reported it was about perfect unless using it at the lowest wattage settings. He said it could hit a little hotter at low watts due to PWM but that drops off as the watts go up. Doesn't matter to me as I just increase until it dry hits / flavor drops off but he did give it a TD (overall TU) for the low watt PWM. I'll try it with the Nautilus and see how it does. Got a battery topping off right now so I haven't used it yet.

Just tried the RBA. I used the stock coil and can tell I could build a better one. It was simple to wick. Flavor and vapor could be better but I did make a mistake in not letting it sit in this thick juice for a while. It got better after sitting for a few minutes.

19 -20 watts seemed to be the topout chain vaping taking longest pulls I could with 70% VG. It wanted to dry hit at 22-24 and it got HOT. Vapes alright at 19 for me like it is but flavor and vapor is not like in my Doge or Tugboat with dual coil builds. I think that can be improved with a better build and better job wicking it. Not nearly as hard to work with as the original design. I like it so far, know it can be better and would buy extra decks for my other Subtanks.

At 32:10 he gets into the regulation and other numbers. :)

Thanks Metal - likely it would be an OK mod for me. But Janet is a low watt vapor and that's its weak point according to Busardo's video. This one might not make our 'short list' but it's sure priced right.

They used to blame it all on the VG. Just can't makes some people happy.
I blame it all on my smoking tobacco before I started vaping.

IDK, my iStick seems fine at low watts and I think this is supposed to be better. I'll try it with one of my Aspire ETS tanks.

And I spoke a little too soon on the RBA. With a new wick in there I should have let it sit a while. It's really starting to take off now. Flavor / vapor is starting to really come through with long pulls at 22 watts. :vapor:

SCHWAAAAAAANG!

I miss this thread for a day or so, and it's Hades to keep up!

@Utsuru - Glad your pops is taking to vaping :) Patience, Grasshopper..... Let him find *HIS* way :)

@amoret - Sweetheart - I hope you're o.k. Praying you peace and healing :) Just spent the weekend at the hospital - SO having some issues, but "o.k." for now. At least we know what it's "not". Just don't know what it "is" :(

@Metal Storm - yes, I need to be "patient" with RBAs. Especially depends on whether I'm using cotton or rayon. I'll start them a little low, but once they've settled, they ROCK :)

Way to many quotes in the last post.
Not too many for me. I appreciate those multiquotes.

I so wanted another iStick 50, but......guess I'll be looking at the 30
Yeah, I didn't even know about the problems with the 50 until hearing about it here. I have a 30 and a 50, both of which are serving me well but now I'm wary of the 50. eLeaf is not doing themselves any favors by not issuing a recall or indicating if they've fixed the problem.

The blankie / comforter is of questionable sanitariness due to, er, never mind ..
I have a comforter that is that one's twin, except mine's a little more stained.

The only thing i can vape all day is straight friut flavors from FC concentrates
I can't find the acronym guide. Anybody got the link? Anyway, what's FC?

In other news, got my Koh Gen Do cotton rectangles today and my first fumble-fingered attempt to make a wick worked perfectly. I don't know what's wrong with the two cotton rectangles that were included with my Kanger Subtank Plus but they imparted a horrible taste.

The Koh Gen Do is wonderful! I didn't peel off the outer layers or peel the rectangle into two pieces. I just cut a very thin strip across the grain, wet it with joose, twisted the end that I was putting through the minicoil in the Subtank's rebuildable head, pulled it through, cut off a little bit, pushed the ends down, and voila: instant gratification and great taste, 0.5 ohms at 16 watts.

Which stick - 20, 30 or 50. Our 50's vape much better at low watts than our 20's. The 20's you just have to ignore what you set it for. It's not close to being accurate. Just start low and work your way up.

I don't take the outer layers off the KGD cotton either. I tried it - but couldn't tell the difference. I do, though, cut my strips w/ the grain, not against it.

Is that the way most people cut it, with the grain? @Debadoo was telling me the other night how to do it and I thought she said across the grain but my rememberer might be faulty.

I cut with the grain - I think that allows the fibers to wick more consistently....

Never tried the 50 at low watts but the 30 seems fine to me. Just tried the Nautilus at 7 & 8 watts reading 1.9 Ohms on the Subox. Can't imagine possibly needing less power. It was so weak it started gurgling. It fits perfect on the mod and still fires hard if you unscrew it some. Aspire ETS needs an adapter to fit 510 threads but also fits flush and fires the slightest little tootle puff you can imagine at 7 watts. Vapes better at 10.

And the stickers busardo referred to in the vid aren't for wrapping your drip tip. They are for wrapping your battery so it's matches the rest of the mod when it shows through the K logo cutout on the door. Magnets seem just right to me. The door on mine is a lot easier to open than in the Vapor Trail review. I'm not so sure he was doing that right. Much easier to swap batts than the IPV Mini2. It's also shorter than the 50 watt iStick by a hair. Only knock is the fire button could be bigger and flush mounted instead of recessed.

I think Big Cotton came up with that so we'd go through more cotton. Don't buy in to the propaganda. Use all four layers. Dr. F even said dangerous cotton molecules are released by peeling off that outer layer. Keep it together, folks. :sneaky:
