Well, she says trying not to snicker, have you tried to pry up the center pin a little bit?
Hehehe...didn't quite think before I spoke. I had a bit of burnt cotton on that little spring in the base. I pulled the tiny thing off with a toothpick. Seems to be working better, but still getting more fluctation that I think I should. I tried another tank on it and didn't have any problems. Thinking it's that little spring getting too compressed over time.

So Happy fer ya! You've come a long ways Kenna!!

I screw pretty tight...sometimes too tight to get them out. Greg wants to dissect my MPV...I'm scared.

OK, as I'm bleeding out from a self-inflicted partially severed tongue, I'm still having fun wid da acronymal possibilities for MPV...

Having some trouble with my Innokin MPV 3.0 and Aspire Nautilus tank. Not sure which it is that's causing my problem. I put in a 1.6 ohm coil. That's all I use, and it always read 1.7- 1.9...over time it will go up to 2.1 or 2.3...about the time it's spent and needs to be replaced. I'll use the same coil one to three weeks. No problems. However, in the past three days, I've replaced the coils three times. I keep having sporadic readings of 3.7-4.9. The new coils go from 1.8-2.3, but there will be this once-in-a-dozen puffs that reads 3.?-4.? that is warm and tastes like crap. Like I said, I've changed coils three times in three days, thinking it was bad coils. There is a tiny spring in the bottom of the tank, and I'm wondering if it's making contact. Today, I wiggled it with a toothpick and got a tiny piece of burned cotton off of it, perhaps from where I've cleaned it. So far, so good. But I'm wondering if it's the battery unit itself that's not functioning properly. I ask that because the blamed thing keeps jumping all over the place, from 1.9-2.4. But, so far no 3.0-5.

Check all the connections ones on the mod and the tank to see if you can find where the problem is.
I had an issue with my nautilus once where the 510 pin had come loose.
If your using 1.6Ω at 30 watts on your mod then the mod thinks your resistance is say 3Ω it will fire more volts to get to that 30 watts.
So you get a harsher hit.
If you have other atomisers you could check if the mods reading change when there connected.
If can't find an issue with the connections could be the chip in the mod , I had one where the chip stopped functioning correctly.

There could still be a bit of fuzz stuck in there. All it may take is a tiny bit.

Good process there, so DON'T let SO take the MVP apart!!

The MVP, I think, also has a spring loaded 510 pin? So maybe check it's "action" as well. Although since a different topper seems to work fine, the whole problem could well be in that, with the MVP3 just doing it's job.

I think things just weren't making contact becase , over time, everything just got depressed and not springy anymore. Stretched a couple of things, the pin spring in the base and pulled the connection plug on bottom out just a hair. Seeems better now. Still fluctuating, but not wildly.

Yup. The topper I have problems with (reading over 3) has the same problem no matter what mod I put it on. No matter how many times I tear it down and clean it. No matter how many times I change the coil. even changed o-rings. Itz just weird. But it ain't in the rotation any more.

Time to order a new base? I am waiting for a new base for one of mine. I have rebuilt that one multiple times with negative results. I thin that is the one that got overheated once. Maybe it is time to make a record of maintenance? LOL. I am obsessed with not being OCD.

Another plus for adjustable vs. spring loaded?

I have a lot of extra tanks. That one is just sitting on the side. I should just throw it but it bothers me that it doesn't make sense. Kind of a puzzle. Gives me something to tinker with when I need tinker time. :)

Yikes! Hoping it's not the chip. It's only 2 1/2 months old. I vape at 1.8 ohm and 8.5 watts., idealy. Seems better today. It's fluctuating, but not wildly. Thanks for your help.

I've noticed that more and more juice is high or Max VG. I'm told that it's because of the trend toward low ohmage/higher wattage. Ok - but why? (This is not an "I'm kind of curious" question. I've been going lower with ohms and higher with watts, but am finding the high VG juice makes my lungs heavy.). Is there some reason that high VG juice is used with low ohms/higher watts? Thanks!

Oh! Manners, LB! Good morning, Porchers!

Good morning LB,

Me thinks it's just a 'Cloud Chasing' thing pure and simple. The higher the VG concentration the more vapor produced. I've never vaped high VG for an extended period of time so don't know how my lungs would react. I just use it very infrequently when messing around w/ drippers and low-low ohms.

I have been having problems with some of my Orchid bases, and have an order which includes two more that left Chicago. Last night I couldn't get the coil right-- like 6 ohms. Took the base apart, cleaned up the screw part on the post, put some Ox-Gard in the contact, scraped the top of the insulator where it had burned, and reassembled and rebuilt. Coil ohm was good, and burns good. Did the same thing to the other one, and the repair was successful there. I am thinking that it was cleaning the tops of the insulators that did the trick. Now I will have two spares for quick changes. Now four wraps of 30g on the Ockian screw (don't LOL), I might be ready to do duals soon.

I got this link 3D 510 adapter to Kick module breakdown. (pics): FastTech Forums but don't want to buy another Nemesis just to use the kick tube and kick ring. Looks easy, though. Maybe if anything happens to Num-Num or Binky I will use it for parts and order another Nemmy.

No, they are a pharmacy general merchandise store just like Walgreens.

Yup, knew that. And that's why I couldn't understand an earlier post that they would take a scrip because they weren't taking new patients....

How could I, of all the porchers, resist that!!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

I get that, too, LB, although it starts with a phlegmy feel at the back of my throat - with 50/50. I think Mike's right, for cloud chasers.
