It would still be the last place you look ;)
I figured that one out YEARS ago... when I got slapped for saying "well, if you keep looking after you find it something must be wrong".

I have a stud-finder magnet. (not THAT kind of stud) It actually finds the drywall nails and sticks to the wall. Got it at home depot. I put that on a string, and drag it around where I lost small things, and usually find not only what I'm looking for, but something else that I didn't even know was lost (and sometimes, don't know what is for)

I have a small victory in my world to announce. I got a kanger subtank mini today, been thinking about getting one but didn't pull the trigger until the other day. My main mission was to get my wife off the protanks she's been vaping for well over 2 years now, they don't hold enough liquid and very restricted on types and ohm ranges of builds and I'm running out of insulators. Set up the RBA with 6 spaced wraps of 30 gauge(1.6ohm) on a bolt with rayon wicking, this RBA has the holes on the side and not the juice channels. Primed her up, lowered the wattage on a Istick50 then gave it a rip and what a vape, no leaking or gurgling...just wonderful vape. My wife is now a super happy camper with her new subtank mini (she has now realized how muted the flavor is thru a protank) so I now have to gather up all my protank parts and set them aside for now.
The subtank won't replace the kayfun for me but its many steps up in improved vape quality for my wife and thats what's important to me....happy wife happy life;)

The subtank mini is the best investment I have made so far! I vape at 15-22 watts and enjoy the flavor.

Grabbed a Nautilus for my wife, she has only used it for 2 days and so far likes the flavor production, but says the draw is a little to tight even on the largest hole, and just like everyone had warned me, sometimes the coil head loosens up and gets stuck in the stem,
nauhtystuckatty.jpg

The stem is just the right diameter to where it took needle nose pliers to rip it out of there! So drilling a few air holes out to a larger diameter and building some vert coils is next on the agenda!

I know those are out there. I bought 50 of them from a FB coop... probably about a year and half ago and don't want to buy more and maybe have around a dozen left.
Setting up a coil in the RBA is slick as snot, inside of 5 minutes I was wicked and ready to juice, very little rocket science involved. This is my wife's first go at rayon, I used hemp in her protank builds so we'll see how her coil gunking DIY cotton candy blend(4.5% HS Desert Ship and 3/4% Sig Circus Cotton candy) 50/50, how the rayon stands up to her punishment.
I already took a fresh stock OCC coil and rebuilt it(with the same build as in the RBA) just for kicks since I'm not going to use them other than to rebuild, I don't like to vape factory coils. I got a box of vertical coils and they look like they can't be easily rebuilt since they got a inner sleeve in them and can't take the top off like with the OCC coils...bummer might have give 1 a shot. I already got a 2nd subtank coming in the mail so she has 2 attys for that just incase. I have to get a couple more RBA's, some o-rings, spare glass and a bell cap or few and I think she will be riding the wave for a while at least...:)

Sounds good. I just wanted to give you the best domestic source I had found for the insulators in case you wanted more. One place wants about $6 for maybe 10 of the things. I will not mention their name.

I have a stud-finder magnet.
I was thinking I didn't have a magnet but your post reminded me that I have the same magnetic stud finder. Pretty strong magnets in that thing, and the screws in the Kanger Subtank RBA head ARE magnetic.

Unfortunately, running the stud finder over the floor near my computer/rebuilding desk and over the desk itself
did not produce the missing screw. The stud finder did find me.... probably thinks I have a screw loose.

@disallowedword is going to send me one, though. Thanks, buddy!

Not a problem! You know, I set that screw on the desk right in front of me and grabbed an envelope and looked back and almost couldn’t find the darned thing, lol.

For the past day or two I've been having a fling with my old flame Nautilus. I put a new prebuilt 1.6 ohm BVC coil in one of them and the dense tasty vapor is really hitting the spot for me.

Things are always in flux but for today, it's the Nautilus at 12.5 watts.

So great to hear! It can be amusing and quite revealing to revisit our ol' 'vfriends'. My major vaping steps have been eMDCCs, ol' cart tanks (re Jewels), VivaNovas and currently Nautili.

While testing an eGo batt and eMDCC setup a couple of weeks ago, was quite pleased wid da combo. Will say dat our newer options do last a bit longer without flav lost.

Ya put a lil' grin on my face!

The place that shall not be named is just highway robbery. :grr: Nice to have a less expensive option. A 5 pack of authentic Kanger PT heads is now about $3.50 from FT now.
