Gives an entirely new meaning to "sin" tax. Jeez!
Summertime, summertime, sum, sum, summertime. I can't wait for summertime!
That it does.
OTOH, after the latest Call to Action, I did get this from my State Sen's offfice:
"Thank you for contacting us about SB 5573 and its companion HB 1645 concerning vapor inhalation products. We always enjoy hearing from our constituents concerning any issue you may have.
SB 5573 and HB 1645 are currently considered "dead" for the session as they were not able to make it out of committee.
Senator David Frockt is the prime sponsor for this bill. He may be a helpful future point of contact for further information.
Thank you again for taking the time to contact us. I will make sure that Senator Becker is forwarded this information. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach us via phone or email.
Sincerely,
Cort Campbell
Intern in the office of Randi Becker
Senator, 2nd District"
Those were the onerous and erroneous ones. Two others remain which essentially only mandate child proof caps and nic/hazard labeling. (Maybe ingredients, don't remember...) Those two are expected to pass, but have nothing to do with any taxes.
So, some room for optimism. But, of course, the session isn't out.
