I always mix up a big batch of unflavored base. I mix one base allowing for 10% flavoring and another base allowing for 3% flavoring (for tobacco juices). I figure that's close enough.

I use 3% or less of flavoring in all of my mixes - so for me it does not change the nic level enough to worry about it... I quit using the exact measurements a long time ago... Who cares about one mix being 11.7mg and the next being 12mg... Close enough for vaping.

Why 21?... when you start mixing you can make any number you want.

May I make a suggestion?

The math (and all that mixing over time) would be a lot easier if you just used a nic level that is easily divided into 100. So go with 20... your bod will never know the diff.

Excellent point, thank you!

One other thing, if you later get better gear than what you have now, your nic stash may last longer than you figure on right now.
Also, the eJuiceMeUp program has a "Nic Combine" feature under the "Tools" menu... that's the part I use most.
I'll have to look for that feature on ejuicemeup, didn't know it had that. Not sure it's possible to get better equipment than what I'm using now though......Reo with a nuppin dual coils currently at 1.08 ohms. :)

Re: Nic base

Something else to ponder: IMO, you don't have to "rush" to get amber glass bottles. The plastic ones the nic base comes in are stable enough to stick in the freezer until you can figure out how you want to divide it into smaller bottles to fit your usage habits.

And while wide mouth bottles are easier to pour into, they're harder to pour out of... the stream is wider and harder to control. I figure I'll be "pouring out" a lot more often than "pouring in". So I use a small funnel to fill narrow mouth bottles.

well I already bought a dozen amber glass 120ml bottles to break down a liter at a time of nic. I know I'll find out what works best when I acutally do it, but I plan to make up around 500 ml of base at a time, so that will likely use around 100 ml of nic for me. I want to be around 70-75pg and around 20-24mg nic. I know one flavored juice I will make is 18% total flavor + 10 drops lemon juice for 30 mls. So will have to play with the calculator to see what kind of base I'd need when I add that in to get what I want. I do appreciate all suggestions.

Debadoo your essentially dripping well reverse dripping with the Reo , or is it an upside down tank.
20-24mg Hmmm no wonder you seem to be zippy.

Don't know why everyone doesn't get the 100mg nic as then its very easy to make a base.
I make 24mg base to work with by adding 24ml of the 100mg nic with 76ml of Vg. Then I use the 24mg and add flavours and vg to that to make juice.
Made 4mg the other day for 60ml total so 24mg base divided by 6 gives me 4mg and 60/6 = 10 so used 10ml of the 24mg base.
I got the nic in 100% pg and Im thinking the flavours i use a pg so i mix the 100mg nic in vg to get the started nic base and then when I make a liquid I add the nic base + flavouring + vg. So far its cut out needing to buy pg.
The amount of flavour gives the pg/vg ratio. I checked it one time and it was 67%vg 33% pg with probably 27% flavour.

If you want say 20mg then if you had the 100mg nic you could put 40ml + 60ml of pg or vg. That gives you 100ml of 40mg then to get 20mg you would use 50% of that nic base and the other 50% would be your flavours + vg/pg.
The end ratios would be determined by the pg/vg in your 100mg nic and if you added pg/vg to make the nic base and then if your flavours were pg/vg.

The idea is to get a base that then you can use to make your juices. Take the 40mg base you've made then if you want to make 100ml total juice at 20mg you would use 50ml of that 40mg base then the other 50ml would be your flavour and pg/vg.
Or if you wanted 10mg then 40mg/4 gives you 10 and 100/4 gives you 25 so you would use 25ml of the 40mg base which then leaves 75ml which would be made up of your flavours plus the vg/pg.
I did a 24mg base because I figured with that I can get 12mg or 8 mg or 6 mg or 4 mg by using different amounts of that 24mg base in my liquids.

Simple right :)

Sorry I haven't been here much, did you miss me? I've been learning everything I can on this SX and have learned a lot. Didn't pre order but Busardo, even though his review isn't out yet, told me if you have the money get it, it's awesome. He's been using it about a week and a half. So I sold one Provari and KFL clone and got it. Another $200 mod. Will report on progress hope to have it in my hot little hands by Wednesday.

OK guys and gals Nickel is back going to attempt yet one more time. My SXmini M Class is on its way. All I have heard is good things about it so maybe this stuff will work this time. God I hope so.

185 30ml bottles out of a liter of 100ml nic. At say 5 30ml's a month is 37 months. How long will nic in pg be good frozen?

Can you convert that to the teeny bottles 0mg uses? Kidding of course, she only fills those for near future need, not long term storage.

I break down the liter bottle into 120ml bottles and then store them in a box in the back of the freezer. It does two things - keeps them safe from prying eyes and little fingers (we have no children around here, but I am not taking a chance - sometimes they visit) and prevents clinking of the bottles and blocks sunlight...

I think it was poor Sloth who lost a bottle or two of 100mg nic when the bottles clinked together and one or more broke.

Plus you lose less nic if you accidentally tip over a narrow mouthed bottle. It's not the loss of the nic but the size of the spill I'd be worried about. I have rabid paranoia, keeps me on my toes though, about spilling some nic and not wiping it up well enough/not noticing it and El Whacko stepping on or otherwise being exposed to it. There, you now know one of my deepest, darkest fears.

Thanks Mike. If this doesn't work I will maybe give it up but there are so many people that didn't like the way the DNA40 worked or didn't that think this think is the PooP. I love my SXmini S Class and this one is similar with some cosmetic improvements, slightly bigger and heavier plus this new chip the SX350J which is supposed to work great. You can buy the chip at Varitube if you are interested in building one. Busardo is supposed to come out with his review this week so we can all get an idea how this Joules method actually works. It's not that well explained except that 1 Joule=1watt for 1 second. It is settable from 10J-50J and the recommended resistance is .065 ohms. Most people are building at .1 or slightly above but it makes it easier to build a coil. You can do an 8 wrap 3mm 28awg NI200 spaced coil and get a very workable resistance at about .12 and coils are lasting at least 1 week and in many cases more which I can handle. Not 3hrs.

Funny - but I never even knew these charts/formulas/relationships existed when I smoked cigarettes. duh! How did I get by all those years.

Help. Can somebody please go to Wizard Labs and tell me what you see when you go to check out? You'll probably have to stick something in the cart to get to checkout. I get a red X on the lock symbol in the url and a red slash across the https. I assume that means the secure checkout ain't secure. I use chrome. Humongous thank you. :)

I checked - it did not do that for me, but that is what the red x means - the secure has been lost to the best of my knowledge...
