Went to vaping unflavored for a while when I was trying to sort out what was causing my health to go to war with my vaping. I really like the unflavored. My six month constant headache went away when I told my doctor neither God nor a gun was going to ever make me take a statin again. Didn't even know it was from the statin.

Your headache went away because you started vaping unflavored or because you stopped taking statin?

The statin. I've had the nic headaches but don't use nearly enough to nic to get them now. With all the problems the statin had caused me, it never occurred to me (duh) that the chronic headache was cause by it too. The unflavored is quite good though. It does have a flavor though, slightly sweet.

Have you been in here before nicnac? If not, big welcome to the porch! :D

My universal coiling tool and 30g wire arrived today. The leaning curve is fast, and I am wondering how I put it off for so long. Still gotta figure out how many wraps. So much simpler and prettier.
Pretty cool, ain't it?

ETA - ProVape is having a 12 hour flash sale on accessories, including batteries, until 12pm tonight. Code is FLASH10 at checkout.

No. just stumbled into this thread. Thank you.
I think headaches are also flavor related. What nic level do you use? what gear?

8 wraps 24ga single coil in the Tugboat clone reads .7Ohm on the iStick. The cap doesn't have an option for single airflow but vapes great anyway. Easy to cut off the air on the other side with my thumb if need be.

The headache stopped within a couple of days of quitting the med perhaps six weeks ago. I use 3mg up to 6mg on a provari with a Davide and 1.8 coil. My headache comment was more a sympathy reply to 0mg's problem and that I can really relate. Since I DIY, I'm going to be slashing the flavor down, lol. And yeah, if it gets tasting any stronger, it will be giving me a headache!

Like a lot of other vapers, I've reduced my flavoring percentages, simply because my taste buds have become less numb as time passes.
I seem to shake everything now including try to shake the toothpaste, bag of dog treats, flashlight, bottle of beer and the TV remote

...as did my aching muscles when I dropped da statins!
Muscle aches had gotten very debilitating. Man I feel good since quitting smoking and statins. :)

My sense of taste did improve, I loath fast food now. Tastes horrible.

My recommendation is a 30 Watt iStick, which is much smaller than your MVP. Even the 50 Watt iStick is significantly smaller than an MVP and has 4400 mah of battery life. About $35 and $43, respectively. For reasonably priced topper, I recommend any version of Kanger Protank, $6 to $17 depending on version and size.

As much as we like our iStick 50's, I'm hesitant to recommend them. I follow the iStick 50 thread and have read many folks report the 'auto-fire' syndrome. It just fires up at its own choosing - sometimes even when it's been turned off. We have 3 of 'em and one of Janet's just started 'auto-firing'. She was sleeping and heard a sizzling noise. It was the iStick on the table next to her.

On the 'plus' side - I contacted VaporTek (where we bought it) and within an hour got a reply to send it back for a replacement.

We've lost 2legs a bit to the temp forum.

Yeah - its like he forgot his roots and doesn't come back to report in. But I still love 'em.

Welcome to the front porch nicnac. We supposed to stay on topic here about vaping and vape gear. We also have a back porch for just hanging about talking 'bout vaping and anything else that comes up.

Glad you came to the Porch, nicnac. :thumb: I haven't been here for very long, myself.

If you like the Tugboat, Flawless has the V1 for sale on their site for $35.00. They are regularly $89.99. Mine is a clone and I'm really just learning to build and wick.
