Hi folks! Room for one more 'older'n dirt' on the porch?
Been vapin' for just over 2 years. Vapin' Hana clones, a 30 and a 50w. For the last year been tootle puffin' on KF 3.1's.
If you don't have a spare rocker I can curl up on the welcome mat like the old dog I am.:D

Welcome to the porch Ebates ... no need to curl up on the mat ... this virtual porch has unlimited virtual seating.

Now I need to think about whether or not to bother becoming verified, so I can attempt to sell some of my mods and atties. Not sure of the spending habits of the ECF community.

Oh ... we just love to spend other peoples money. No problem there.

Flavorings used for vaping are mostly safe as far as anyone knows to date. This is all fairly new, there aren't decades worth of vapers around to know. There are 2 or 3 chemicals in some food grade flavorings that are considered risky. But they aren't in every flavor. Usually the buttery, eggy, custardy type flavors. Flavoring manufacturers continue to redevelope those flavors so that they don't have those chemicals in them & a reputable vape flavoring source will note a flavor that does contain them. That's why I said you need to use a vendor that is already known & used by vapers. No one wants to die from vaping anymore than from smoking so chill out. Even the flar industry is still learning about things they've used for cakes & icings & beverages that could be safer for even those uses. Time goes by, everyone learns things, & things evolve & change. Tobacco wasn't always considered unsafe. Stick with us, we'll keep you headed in the right direction!

No worries, I found a study that examined the chemicals that are in e-juice flavorings which also discussed which chemicals that are often found in flavorings which should not be inhaled, or if inhaled at what amounts are considered OSHA standard of safe.

Which was exactly what I wanted to know.. I just had to go elsewhere for the info.

Thanks for replying anyway.

Interested in what additional types of flavors you are looking for. My sense of taste has continued to evolve & expand over the 11 months since I stopped smoking & started vaping. I was stuck with only being able to vape certain custards & couldn't stand fruits or tobaccos. Suddenly blueberries taste fantastic! Whoopieeeee!!! I'm starting to DIY & wanting to find things i'd maybe not thought of. I know there are some flavors that just don't appeal to me but who knows? The Mouth knows.

Oh I was thinking of going crazy with some flavors such as a full bodied cheese... stuff you don't see.. I dearly love the sweet stuff - but I was thinking of perhaps DIYing some different stuff too if I can get the right flavoring.

I just found out I don't need nicotine at all.. purely by accident.. lol..and it was handling nicotine that concerned me about doing DIY.. heck I thought I was addicted to nicotine, but I just found out I'm not!

I guess I thought it because I was told it so much.. but not needing the nicotine, leaves me wide open! hahaha

I suspect the majority are not addicted to nicotine, but have been conditioned to believe they are. The addiction is to the other chemicals that increase the effectiveness of nicotine in the brain's pleasure center.

It probably is.. when I first started vaping I was vaping to quit a 30 year marlboro red habit.. I went through withdrawals when I first started vaping, but the vaping helped me to get over that/through that fairly easily..

we are told the reason why we cannot quit smoking is because we are addicted to nicotine, so we believe them.

I have been vaping just over a year now, and every time I wanted to vape I just assumed it was because I was addicted to the nicotine in my e-juice, since that is what we are supposed to be addicted to.

I purchased some juice because I am trying a lower PG content than what I have been using, and the company sent me a sample bottle of 100% VG with no nicotine so I thought I would try it out, see if it gunked everything up ect while I was steeping my purchase. I filled up my tank with it just to try it, and decided that I would vape that but when the craving for nicotine happened that I would switch to my other tank which has nicotine in the e-juice..

but I never had to.. I never craved anything more than what I had.. no craving for nicotine at all.. it's crazy because I seriously thought I was addicted to the nicotine.. but I'm not even a little bit addicted to it. The only thing I am addicted to now is the habit - the hand to mouth thing, the inhaling and exhaling "smoke".. crazy.. told for 30 years that it was the nicotine in cigarettes that we are addicted to, and its not at all!

lol..

... for you! Either that or you kicked da nic much earlier/easily than most other smokers; which is a grand achievement.

maybe true... smokes is the only thing in my life I ever developed an addiction to, and my doctors say I simply don't have an addictive personality so you could be right on myself being a different case in that regard..

but it is totally cool! :)

IKWYM! I haven't added nic to my DIY I made, & am using it in the evening before time to hit the sack, or just when I feel the urge for a snack, to just puff a little. Check out Bull City Vapor, they have the major flavoring lines, good pries on 10ml sizes & a huge selection of flavors. Also, before you dive into buying a lot of flavorings you might end up hating, check EC BLENDS. They have an option to create your own flavor combinations, tell them what you want d they'll mix it & ship it. You can even call or email them & they'll help you with percentages d combinations to help you get what you want. They have flavors like pizza, dill pickles, bacon, roast beef, roasted chicken, sticky rice, jalapeno & other things. You can play cheap there.

? I don't see no cows.
Think you just called at least one of us a cow. Maybe.
spending habits? Most here seem to make a habit of spending on shiny things.
And we excel at draining other porchers' pockets. :D

Good for you! I worked my way down to 0mg and stayed there for several months. Tried a little nic again and man, did I ever feel better. I physically and mentally do better with a little nic, big enough difference that I'm not going to worry about it. Can I do without it? Yeah, did that and didn't go into a withdrawal snit but I sure am healthier with it. Not trying to say you're wrong, just that we're all different, as you are already aware.

Welcome to the new porchers! :) Robert gets cranky if you use his rocker

And don't get caught in this one

a-little-chair-for-a-squirrel-11-95-72-things-that-are-definitely-better-than-oprahs-72-favorite-things.jpg

cause the squirrel gets irate, for about a week.

Watch out for Iffy if he offers you a cushion for your chair, they're actually whoopee or pin cushions. Deb wields a mean frying pan if you get on her wrong side, which you really have to work at doing. Sure I've missed something but that's the gist of it.
