I lost track of what purpose we are talking about but regardless, I use 95% ethanol, Everclear brand.

If I may be allowed a lil' restructuring...

A little trick I learned when I worked for a jeweler...a nice big pink eraser like we once used to erase pencils with in school will do a beautiful job of removing tarnish and polishing silver ;)

Beat me to it....same thing I use, good old isopropyl alcohol :)

Actually a couple of shots of JD and a pencil eraser is what you need to clean silver properly with an eraser. The eraser for the the silver and the JD for you - cleaning silver with an eraser is a long tedious job - but the JD makes the effort worth it...

YOu might be thinking of GooGone? Works well. And finger nail polish remover (mostly acetone) will, as well. Use either in a well ventilated area!
Thank you!
Excellent vapevid! Viewing highly recommended!!

Thanx, Tutu...

Forgotten about that, thank you. Put it on the shopping list. Need to polish a few small things.

GooGone is worth keeping on hand, but a very low tech, always around the house, solution is rubbing vegetable oil in/on thoroughly and then washing it off with dish detergent. This will work on most labels, etc. and on oil based paint. This works especially well on skin, especially children's skin, since it is completely safe.

The dish soap must be the magic ingredient. I've heard vegetable oil but it only gave me a skin rash/hives (allergic or whatever to it if I have skin contact with it and don't wash it off). The gunk stayed gooey and tacky.

For anyone that didn't know (I didn't) China is having one of their big holidays, shipping will be delayed. Also, FT seems to be having some shipping problems. The US isn't being affected, depending on who you talk to. Link from the FT thread from KentA. https://www.fasttech.com/forums/shi...et-going-by-singapore-post-instead-of-china/1

Finally received the batteries for the new istick 100w, and I like it, first hit in the morning and the last hit in the evening are the same! With the istick 30w the battery drain was pretty noticeable.

So thanks to all of your help I now have ejuice flavors that I enjoy, and some reliable devices.
Next, I am going to play around with coil designs on the sub tank mini. Not much room on the deck of that STM, so going to see if I can fit a parallel coil on there. From the reading I have done throughout ECF, I am thinking a parallel coil will give me better flavor than a single coil?
Any theories or findings on how coil diameter effects flavor?

I've never tried to make anything other than single coils, so I don't know how or if a parallel coil would increase flavor. But, I think the prime factor is surface area of the coil, combined with the ability of the feed system to supply sufficient juice to keep any part of the coil from running dry.

The larger the coil diameter, the more the surface area and the more the quantity of wicking material that can fit inside it. A larger diameter coil will have greater resistance than a smaller diameter coil with the same number of loops, of course.

So that's why someone suggested having spare Kayfun tanks. The plastic threads strip.

I went to pull my drip-tip out earlier, and the whole topcap pulled off. Vacuum gone!
That's got to be a defective tank. None of mine have done that. Not in any configuration. Send it back.

Thanks, Kenna. That's good to hear. I've had it too long to send it back. But, it's good to know this is an isolated incident.

I love my Kayfun!
Shucks, I thought you just got it. Sorry this happened. Stinks.
