Thanks, Kenna. That's good to hear. I've had it too long to send it back. But, it's good to know this is an isolated incident.

I love my kayfun!
The threads on those tanks do wear out. I have a spare, but I need it for backup. Maybe later, someone is sending me some, when she gets a round tuit.

So that's why someone suggested having spare Kayfun tanks. The plastic threads strip.

I went to pull my drip-tip out earlier, and the whole topcap pulled off. Vacuum gone!
You know you can order the replacement plastic tanks from FT, right?
Also, all of the KF's I have have come with the full metal tank or the center plastic section (mpm configuration), or the full plastic tank. Yours didn't?

Bummer.... may have been defective from the start, or maybe got cross threaded. I'm at 11 KFs now, and haven't had that happen. I HAVE broken a couple via fumble fingers and gravity... but both of those were the internals of the PMMA FT "spare parts kit."

And always remove tips with a twist and pull motion, to relieve the stress. On any topper :)

I need to get some 500ml (guess that's 16 oz) Boston rounds. Amazon seems to have gone down the tubes as far as inexpensive bottles. I was looking at a case of these, just as expensive as the number I want to get for various things, but wondering if anyone has an inexpensive supplier they can recommend offhand. I've looked at so many over time I've forgotten who the good guys are.

EDIT - Knew if I opened my big fat mouth I'd find the place. Never mind.

I'm sorry, that sucks.

I have the middle sections (one plastic, one metal). But, one of the metal top/bottom pieces is missing. I guess I misplaced it somewhere.

Oops, just found it!

Would these work? I really like the plain, clear tanks. Or, maybe just 10 clear middle sections. I don't like the colors. Well, I do like them; but, they're harder to see through.

Nope. I have 2 Kayfuns. The one that's working is an EHPro Kayfun Lite Plus, so a V1. The one I can't get to work is a Kayfun Lite Plus V2 bought in parts from FT.

I am very excited though because I finally managed to get 3 of those EHPro Plus V2s that were on clearance for $10 ordered. I paid my daughter cash and had her use HER cc to order them. I should have them early next week.

I wouldn't risk those tanks then, since it says they are for v4 Five Pawns on them. They do have both sizes plastic tanks for L+v2's tho. And Nano's. I need to get both of those, & other parts for mine.

Oops! There are too many versions and variations!

The colorful replacement tanks that EBates linked to should work then? The description says 'for Kayfun 3.1/Kayfun Lite'.

I'm so ......ed when it comes to RL. Give me pure theory, and I'm happy. Real life is so full of subtle variations (imperfections ).

My latest musings on temperature control: please assume that all statements below are my (expert) personal opinions rather than statements of concrete fact.

There are differences in technique required for enjoyable use of temperature control with Nickel 200 or titanium wire coils. I'm referring to the way things differ compared to the use of conventional variable-power mods and Kanthal coils.

These differences in technique are nearly as large as the differences in technique we learned to use when vaping instead of smoking.

When using temperature control, the device will produce very little vapor while you're not drawing on it, and it will resume producing vapor when you start drawing, even though you are pressing the power button the whole time. That's because with temperature control, once the device reaches the temperature you set, it takes very little power for the device to maintain the coil at the set temperature. Drawing brings air across the coil, cooling it, causing the device to apply power again to reach the set temperature, which in turn produces more vapor.

Compare the description of temperature control action in the above paragraph to what happens when you're using variable power and a Kanthal coil. With variable power, the coil will continue to heat regardless of whether you're drawing on it or not.

As the desirable technique becomes ingrained in habit, my temperature control experience keeps getting better. Reiterating what I've said before, I really like the IDEA of temperature control and I'm willing to put some effort into it.

This effort is paying off. I'm getting a very nice vaping experience using the Wismec Presa 40W TC mod that I bought from Vaperev.com. My coil is a 0.37 ohm titanium coil, with a Muji cotton wick in a Kanger Subtank. I'm getting quite good battery life even though the device operates at a fixed 40 watts. The reason for the good battery life is that during any given draw, the mod is spending a fair amount of time not applying any power to the coil, during which time the display reads "temperature protection".

Without having researched the temperature setting recommended by others, I've played with the temperature setting until it produces the best vaping experience according to my personal preference. This setting, for me, is 460 degrees F in the Presa's titanium wire mode. I'm using the middle-sized air openings on the Kanger Subtank.

These should work:

And this is the "spare parts kit" that also works:

https://www.fasttech.com/product/1570900

Parts for the 3.1, and all versions of the 2 are interchangeable. Don't know about the V4.

I'm on my phone or I'd look for you. Do a search for kayfun Lite plus v2 replacement tank. Or even kayfun lite plus v2, that will bring up the whole unit & a lite of units, & parts on the right when you scroll down. Or give me a little bit & I'll find them for you. I'm moving slow today. I spent too long walking & standing at the grocery store yesterday & really messed up my lower back.

Those should come with the end M tank included. It replaces the 3 piece middle section. I have a could of mine set up with that.

I have some of mine set up with the full M tank, and some with only the center section poly.

MOST of the colored sections are a light enough color to see through easily. I use different colors to make it easier to keep track of what flavor is in what KF. None are set up with the full metal jacket - I like to see my juice level :)

When I'm at work, it's about half a pack. I was smoking 2 packs a day. Lately it's when I'm home that I'm having the biggest problem. I'm going to have to find a way
You're doing fantastic!!! And huge congrats on a year of vaping!!!! It really sounds like you're just not ready to totally let go of cigs yet, and that's fine if you're not. I don't know if you really want to let go of them, or if you just feel bad because you haven't, and you think you have to. If that's the case, do it in your own time, and don't pressure yourself. The more pressure you put on yourself, the worse it will be. Celebrate your success!!! You've done an amazing thing already. Keep your focus on that. If you really want to quit, Kenna and others had some great suggestions, but relax darlin, and let it happen!!

EDIT - Knew if I opened my big fat mouth I'd find the place. Never mind.
Where, I don't see it :p Share please. I'm with you, have looked at so many over time, they're all muddled in my brain

That did it. I thought I had tried that before. I guess not. (I would have sworn I did though!)

Thank you!

Me too. I have to see my juice level or it'll drive me crazy!

That's a good excuse for all the colors. I need to be able to tell which juice is in which. That's the ticket!

Question: is it possible for an eliquid to become more concentrated over time. If a bottle is a month old and has been opened and closed daily, is there a breakdown of components and an off gassing of some of the components, leading to a higher concentration of nicotine per ml that remains in the bottle. Thanks
