Yep Trustfire is not my choice of charger. It was replaced for a reason. ;)

Btw I lived in Ames for nearly 6 years. I miss it horribly. Central Iowa is a wonderful place to be.

Well you probably wouldn't miss it today....it's been so cold here and again with -50 wind chill tonight. I'm just about 6 miles due East:)

I like this thread!
Hubby and I are new to vaping (3 weeks) but he's 57 and I will be 60 later this year. We have both smoked for 40+ years. Once we found these, we threw away all the stuff we had for the RYO's we had been doing for the last 5 years, and LOVE vape!
My thing now is getting the smell out of our truck! Fabreeze isn't doing much, but when we vape in the truck, it smells like whatever we are vaping!
We both have Evod 1300 vv and ProTank2's. I am perfectly happy with what I have, I can't see getting into all the fancy rebuilds and such. I can get the attys for these PT2's for a buck a piece, so why spend more than what I need to make me happy!

Change the air cabin filter. CLean all the vent grills and spray the fabreeze in them. Shampoo the carpet and upholstery. If all that fails rent an ozone machine and stick it in there and run ir for 24 hours.

Welcome LR, hope you don't mind me shortening your name. :D

I think the old smoke smell hides in the AC vents. Even after over 2 years of no smoking in it I still get a whiff from time to time and it smells awful.

I say......If you are happy and are satisfied with your equipment...look no farther. Much much easier said than done for a bunch of us. :D

6 months into my "vaping adventures" I find myself rotating 4 VV V3's and 2 eGo-V Mega's. There is often a waiting line at my 2 available kitchen outlets (one of which shares time with the microwave).

When I search "usb wall charger" on Amazon I get 361,001 results. But most of them are for iPads, cell phones, etc. and I'm wondering whether their outputs would be too high for my batteries. So...what output (Amps) would be optimal?

Also...is there available anything like a "USB Powerstrip"...a row of multiple USB outlets that plugs into a A/C wall outlet?

Lady Ruger I agree with the above advice for trying to get rid of the odor...it takes awhile. In regards to your gear if you are satisfied then stay with what you have. Sometimes listening to everyone on the forums might make you feel like you're missing out on something but 'stay away from the pretty lights'. I have spent so much money that wasn't necessary...if you find a time where you are no longer satisfied then you might want to make a change. Also... if you haven't already been told 100 times I'll mention it again, make sure you are drinking a lot of water to stay hydrated. You will probably also find that through time you might need to try new juices as your sense of taste improves.

Myrany just be careful with the trust fire until you get a new one...I had one that the power cord blew on me..scared the crap out of me. Hello all I don't remember if I've posted here before or not. I've been vaping since Oct 2010 and have gone through many phases and purchased way to many toys. Like Willie said above I've been able to sell/trade many items throughout time. I now find myself scaling back on the toys as I'm very happy with my current Pro Vari Mini/KFLs, Micro Stick with Spheroid or Sophia/Slim tanks. I have a couple of GP 18350 mods as well I use at home, but don't trust the bottom buttons for out and about. There is a nice variety of knowledge and types of equipment used on this thread, lots of good information available.

Hi Iwoa Gal - nice to have you here. Looks like you've paired down you collection to a nice "basic" set of gear. :vapor:

Hello and welcome Lady Ruger - good going for you and hubby. Just be careful with what you say - these are famous last words just before you get the itch for the 'next best thing' or the new 'shinny thing'. My wife was perfectly happy with her ego's before the Rider Robusts were delivered, then she was perfectly happy with those before the Provari was delivered. Then she was pefectly happy with that until her mini Z-max arrived, then she couldn't have just one of those so the 2nd one arrived.

Yes there is. Just google 'usb power strip' or 'usb hub'. Look for one that has an A/C power cord and if the specs are given try to get one where each port runs at full power if all ports are in use.

Eastern Wa.
Having cataract surgeries.
They are doing the right eye this afternoon.

Ohhh I had that done last year.
Like Iffy says " what a difference"
I kept putting it off .. the thought of someone operating on my eye freaked me out.
Talk about getting a mule to do something..you haven't met me when I set my mind.
I finally dragged myself in, and hoped I would live through it.
WOW, as soon as it "thawed out" my jaw dropped.
I couldn't make an appointment to get the other one done fast enough.
They made me wait a month while the first one healed completely.
No pain, no nothing, except "revelation"
I kick myself for waiting so long.
(The same applies to vaping)

I want to welcome all the new faces to our porch.
We are growing fast and that is good news.
The more faces, the more minds to pick and learn from .. so have a seat.

Welcome Iowa Gal, PeePaw and Lady Ruger! Glad you stopped by! MikeE3 is right about finding out I was happy with the "next best thing", but it was all his fault. I never went looking for new devices, well, except for when Tx recommended the Rider because I wanted something with vv and then I won the ProVari. The Z-max mysteriously showed up as a present to me. Yes, it did turn out that I liked them all once I gave them a fair chance. Never thought I'd like the heavier ProVari or Zmax, but it only took a week to find I was using them as my go to devices. I'm happy with what I have, but Mike is always checking out the new stuff.

I found Oder Gone online and that stuff seems to work pretty well without covering smells with a heavy perfume. Might try some of that in your truck. Spray some in your vents and all over inside. Or, with the money you end up saving by not smoking - buy a new truck!!

PeePaw, good luck with the surgery today. I've heard the results can be amazing. Remind me about that when it's my turn...

I use a simple "T" plug-in from the hardware store. I have plenty of USB "wall warts" since Innokin includes 1 with their V3 Express kit, but the wall warts are cheap anyway.

The wall warts should be rated higher than the battery mAh rating but usually 1000 mAh is adequate. A lower rating will only mean they will take longer to charge. The USB that plugs into the wall wart (like for an eGo) should be rated lower than the battery mAh. They are usually 500 mA (0.5 Amp). All USB is 5 volt DC. If the USB is just a cord (like for Innokin V3, V2, MVP) then there is no rating.

I like my setup because I can unplug a wart and cord if I want a "To Go" and leave others charging. I do have a powered USB hub from years ago (now that I think about it) but I'll save that for the Apocalypse. I'll find it and pack it in that "special" box.

Click on the photo for a better view of what I'm talking about.

Thanks for the welcomes.....think this might be a safe place to hang. There are several forums I frequent that are just not so much fun anymore...I come to the forums to check on friends, get a good laugh and share what little knowledge I have to learn (although I'm trying to stay away from learning about any new unicorns I just must have)

Most of us hang out over on this porch too. It allows us to get 'off topic'. In this thread if we stray too far from talking about vaping the mods threaten to close us down. So we have the back porch where we can talk about anything we want to.

Well, ya younglins just need to cuddle up and stay warm out yonder!

Yepper, it's kinda difficult to 'erase' da residuals of ol' habits. Fortunately, down here, I just left my windows open depleting da remaining ozone while under way . Took 'bout a month o' cruisin' cleanse my ride. Ya'll may have to wait fer summer to try my technique! At least ya'll live in southern Utah... where ya get an additional 2 hours of summer...

welcome to the newcomers!!!

sorry you have to see my soapbox right off the bat.... I'm usually a nice person

mini-rant

Altria Group Inc. (MO), the maker of Marlboro cigarettes. Also bought out nJoy.
we find out tonight on the VapeTeam that they are petitioning Canada to make e-cigarettes a medical product.

And people wonder why I'm against these big-pharma/big-tobacco people.

Welcome home, all our new "older folks", not going to try to mangle all your names :)

I find Ozium "Air Sanitizer" to be pretty effective, better than Febreeze. Most auto stores, or auto sections of dept stores carry it. Around these parts, no matter the time of year, cruising for a month with the windows down can be a potential drowning risk...

And a multi-port USB wall wart is a great way to go. Inexpensive, you can leave your ego chargers plugged in for the "on the go cord", and of course only uses one outlet.
