Nice one Mul. I do like the look of the Precise line. But tell me, how do you like an unregulated PV. Do you notice a difference in the vape as the battery runs down when using it w/o the Kick. I imagine w/ the Kick, it would be more like a regulated PV.

Thank you Mike:)..Ill try it with just a bat..no kick when I change bats..and let you know:)
I do Really like the HH357 long barrel addy..Its the first addy that has worked for me..and it rocks:headbang:

I guess I am going backwards. Today is my one year vape-anniversary. I treated my self to a couple of automatic 350mAh stick batteries. Thought I was out of luck on finding them but finally did @Madvapes. I am loving my 650 mAh ego VV but still really like the automatic. They are a lot easier for me to use while driving 'specially on rough roads.

Just poppin in to say hello! Life's a zoo right now ...

CONGRATS MATTIE!
Also - if your likin the auto for driving ... Well let's just say that was theeee reason I DID NOT like that ego VV: can't find the button!
I love my Smokeless Image X2 batts - they are manual and very easy to use - driving or not!

OK: I was pretty disillusioned w/ the performance of the TWIST's that I got a while back. Kitty of VIRGIN VAPOR determined it must be a charger problem and ( What a great COMPANY!!!! ) She not only replaced both my TWIST's due to possible damage - she also sent me a new charger! The lights now change color as the batts charge up ... SHE restored my faith in the company and thot I'd better note it as my last comment on the issue was not so positive!

I am happily going to be looking for vape mail end of the week - maybe Monday! While I wasn't real happy with the narrowed connection of the vivi nova initially - it is WORKING WONDERFULLY to keep on a lanyard at work! I did have one tank loose it's snug fit from getting bumped w/ a box but hope replacing the "O" ring will have it working again ...

NOW: DOes anyone know where to find hair dryer responsive heat shrink tubing (clear) that will fit over TWIST size batts? Need a way to keep "decor" on the rubberized finish ... Nail polish isn't going to last long ... I need a way to "ID" all these black batts! :D

MUL: may give you a call later Friday afternoon ... 3:30 allergist ... just not sure yet if I'll be able to hang around town later ... too many "iff's" ... :vapor:

I'll look forward to your 'report'. I've heard 3 variations of using straight mechanical mods, change batteries often, change your vape to slower longer as the batt drains, and it's like a fine cigar, the flavor changes the longer you draw on it.

Thank you Kico. I like the ego VV so much that I ended up buying 3 more. I have gotten used to the button now but it was kinda hard at first. Thank you so much for sharing with me and showing my what a great little battery this is. I vape several different flavors so it is nice to have each of them on their own battery and I can just grab whatever flavor I want instead of having to change out the carto.

Hi there I just found this thread and would like to share a bit of my story even though I am 34.

I have been smoking Cigarettes since i was 15 and just this summer my mom had a pretty major surgery. My mom is 73 and has been smoking since she was 18 thats 55 years of smoking. First they were going to try stints in her legs to help the circulation and get her walking again. Well that didnt work the arteries in her legs are completely hardened that hardly any blood flow was going through. She had to have a by pass of the arteries in the legs. Seeing my mom after surgery was so tough and I was there for her every day of her recovery. She has not smoked since May of this year. Now I will explain a little more about her non smoking journey in a few.

I continued to smoke but I had been wanting to quit smoking for a while and was looking into ways to stop smoking for when I was ready. Now i had seen some friends at BBQs outside with us using an e-cig when we were all smoking. I thought nothing of it, my mom was trying e-cigs before her surgery she was still smoking analogs as they call them. Around labor day weekend my boyfriend and I were invited to a friends house for another BBQ, the subject of e-cigs came up as I saw them using them more openly and I inquired more seriously and asked how to get one. Our friends gave us a website to go to and at this point I was more interested. One week later we got our first ego kit with the manual battery. My boyfriend and I started the non smoking together by finding this wonderful alternative to smoking and I am so happy we are in this together. It wouldn't work if we were not both into it.

Now for the other part of my story here. My mom has been off Cigarettes since may by using the patch. She has been doing really great that way but recently has been telling me that she takes a drag or two off someone else's cigarette only once a week. Im thinking she could end up smoking full time again and my ex who actually lives in the same town as my mom keeps fairly close tabs on her, for his own reasons, however my mom does enjoy his and his new wife's company. Now my ex is the one who got my mom the analog looking type e cig that looked to me like it was giving off a powder from the bottom of it. I was like what is that a fake cigarette? It had a wall charger and all that which I guess some people get along ok with that however it just would not do the trick for me. My mom gave that e-cig to one of my sisters and I haven't heard much about it. So I am waiting for a kit to come in the mail and I am going to order my mom some low does e cigs just to take that edge off. whether or not she uses it is up to her, I just dont want to see my mom continue to smoke even if its a little here and there.

Anyway this was alot to write and hope this experience may help someone trying to quit.

The thing i hear the most on live chats and see on posts. Is celebrate the cigarettes you have not smoked and don't beat yourself up on the ones you have.

I thought I would start a thread mostly for older folks but everyone is welcome. It is primarily to help longtime smokers to get off cigarettes and stay off by sharing our vaping experiences. Most everyone reading this has already started vaping so our goal is to support one another and help those beginning the vaping journey.

I have been vaping 2 1/2 years after smoking off and on for 60 years. I inhaled my first cigarette at 10 and by the time I was 15 I was smoking a pack a day. I've struggled with quitting smoking for 30 years and discovering the e-cig and vaping has been a life saver for me. I was diagnosed with COPD about seven years ago and my health was deteriorating rather quickly with loss of breath and coughing continuously. Since I started vaping my health has improved tremendously so that is why I'm so adamant about helping others make the same decision.

I have been vaping for 2 1/2 years but I'm far from an expert on vaping equipment but I have tried most devices or similar ones out there so I do have an opinion on most of them. We are all different when it comes to vaping and one thing doesn't work for all in fact very few of us will settle on using the same juices and PV's. That is what makes having a thread that we can discuss all e-cig related stuff without arguing about what is best is a good thing.

I have found that most of us older folks and long time smokers like the no muss no fuss PV's especially in the beginning. We would like to hear all of your stories and vaping experiences and what devices you started with and your journey to what you use now.

Us older folks do like to socialize along with our vaping but we need to keep this thread mostly about vaping or it will be moved to a social forum. We do have another thread in the Lounge Forum that is both social and vaping related. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/lounge/289745-older-people-55-up.html

I hope this thread is a success in helping others along the vaping trail!:)

Hi Ebne...Welcome & congrats on your new venture - it's a good one.

I'm a little concerned reading that your mom is on the patch & using ecigs. The patches, if I remember correctly, are loaded with nicotine & most of the juices used in the ecigs have nic in them unless you get 0 nic. After reading about your mom's condition, I think I'd look into the best way to go around this. Nic, I believe will constict blood vessels. I'm open to correction by anyone.

My best to your mom & hope she's up & around real soon & best of luck to you & your friend - keep vaping!:vapor:

no no you read that wrong. I may have jumbled my sentences together. How I meant it is She had been on the patch and since then she has been trying to smoke little bits here and there by smoking from someone elses cig. I am wanting to get her an ego kit so she can do low dose nic. She is considering going back on the patch to take the edge off which I dont really think is as good as the vaping. Thats why I said im getting her a kit.

Thank you for the encouragement on keep vaping.

I used duct tape on my ego batteries to "dress" them up a little, I also color code my T2's, blue is blueberry honey, green is mint...... IMAG0598.jpg

Hi Ebne08 - wow your ECF nickname is almost the spelling of my surname. Nice to hear you and you BF are supporting each other's vaping. My wife and I started together a year ago and it was nice having someone to share the transition from smoking to vaping.

And yep, you've found a thread where most everyone here was stuck on the stinkies for 40-50+ years. With your encouragement and help it's surely possible to keep her away from smoking and off the patch. You've got it right - count the ones not smoked.

Hey Eb, nice of you to stop by. Good for you that you've found success in vaping. I don't know how well either my husband or I would have done with it by ourselves. There's so many choices and so many questions, but that's a good thing. Everyone can find what they like best. The people on these threads have helped us so much on our journey. Sounds like your mother is almost there. With your help and encouragement maybe she feel a need to "borrow" a cigarette less and less and that can only be a good thing. I hope all works out for you.

Not to go all morose and be a Debbie Downer, but my mom died 9 years ago today of lung cancer at age 63. I wish e-cigs had been around 20 years ago...my mom might still be here. We miss her so much! But, I also believe she's much better off where she is. :)

Sorry to hear that and sure wish they would have been invented sooner for all of us oldtimers before we did permanent damage but sure glad they did come out soon enough to help us not have as many health problems as we would have had. My brother and dad also died early because of smoking related illnesses.
