So I have another noob ? I her everyone talk about letting you juice steep. Does this mean take the cap off and leaving it for a few days to make the flavor better? 
You got it Aword. Some folks leave the cap off for a day and then cap it and leave it longer to "steep". It helps to shake it vigorously too. Steeping is basically aging. Giving the flavor molecules time to blend together.

I don't leave the cap off of mine...cause I just know that it would get spilled one way or another. :)

I sucked at this. GAVE IT UP!

:lol::lol:I doubt any bad words were said or cartos thrown across the room or anything like that, right?:lol::lol:

When I tried it long ago, I tried to hold the carto in a vice grip...but it kept slipping out. A 3 handed person may be able to do this without getting frustrated. :)

sometimes, I have to unscrew the battery and then carefully screw it back on again... the light on the charger needs to turn red and blink green occasionally. I've had it glow red and stay red, or even glow a constant green on a dead battery.

NO.. I think I killed em. Got a burnt taste, then nothing at all. No power. Purple one does NOTHING, blue light won't go off on the silver one. And my carto looks flooded at the top. Oh brother. I don't have anymore EGO batts.

Oh no!! Do you have any other batteries as backups?

I still have the VOLTS, but only 2 nanos and a couple of blank cartos. WHAT did I do? How did I fry my freaking batts? It's something to do w/ the tank and cartos. But I don't really know what I did....?
Are there any ego batts that ignorant people CAN'T fry?? WTH

If you were using a carto that you punched yourself the outer casing may have shorted to the center post. If you have a meter you can check to see if the carto is shorted.

I don't have a meter.
It worked fine for about 45 mins. Then POOF. Tried another battery and POOF. Both are now non-working. Wont' charge. On one of them the light light won't go off. Neither will now work w/ the clearos I was using prior.
If I shorted the carto, would that also have shorted the batts?

I gotta order new batts now. I had bought these from Vaporgirl. Are there eGO or same threaded batts out there that are IDIOT PROOF? I cannot believe I did this... whatever I did.

Yes, if the carto shorted it would short circuit the battery. Sometimes it is temporary and some times the internal circuit is damaged beyond repair. I'm on my way to bed but others will be able to advise you.

Thank u and good night.

That's it. I'm done. No more punching my own cartos. Tossing these & ordering pre punched.
Howev, now I want better batts. This is just frightening. And the batt that won't turn off is scaring me.

The one with the light on, as long as nothing is connected to it, only has a circuit from the battery to the light. If the battery itself was short circuited it would discharge (in a dramatic fashion) in mere seconds.

Place them in a metal container if you will feel more confident, just to ensure there is NO way for them to cause a fire. Personally, I would not be afraid of them but I would rather be safe than sorry.

Like X P3 said, there may have been a short in the carto and that tripped the protection in the batteries.

So sorry that this happened to you Natasha. :(

Thank u did that. It was suggested on the ego forum that I jiggle the pos connector with a screwdriver as sometimes the Boge cartos can push this connector in. Did that & the light went out.
DONE with the eGOs. Gotta start over & this time SAFETY is going to be the primary concern. I'm throwing the egos away.
Thank u very much for your help.

Thanks Gloria. I'll survive. But now I want batts that can survive my own ignorance AND carto short-outs!

I'm open to suggestions Peeps... What do I buy this time?

Mercy Natasha..that was quite an experience with the carts/batteries. You know you can just vape those unpunched carts by themselves.
Have done that with Boges many times long before anyone made punched carts. Fill them with ejuice and vape on :)

The batteries...dunno..toast or maybe recovery over night?

So glad to hear about your MIL Natasha!! But wow, so sorry to hear about your egos. You're not an idiot though hun. Things happen. Most of (with some exceptions) aren't electronical wizards. We don't know how light switches work, we just mash the button and expect the light to come on, same with vape gear. But lots more things can go wrong with vape gear unfortunately.

Ravens didn't come in the mail today and there's no update, so looking at Monday now. However, I did get the evod open. I had screwed it on a bit too tight apparently and when I took it off, it unscrewed the evod. lol So now I know it screws open and closed rather than popping it off. I'd tried both to no avail, but now I know I can get it open. Was too tired to try it once I got it open though.

Molli ( I think) glad you're going to shoot them an email on the dripping atty. Definitely worth a shot as others said.
