So nice the new toy is making you happy! Does the Diver have a flange or lip on the bottom?
It has a normal flange... not slotted or anything.

...
That looks even better than it did on the website! How tiny is it? How hard is it to see to rebuild?
...
Its the exact same size as a normal sized cartomizer. to rebuild, you wind a wick and stick the wires through two small holes in the ceramic cup. One gets folded into the middle hole and the plug/positive lead plugs in and catches it. the other one gets bent up on the cup and when you insert it into the bottom of the atomizer you can then snip it off.

The bottom of the atomizer screws onto the tube and it replaces a cartomizer in a carto-tank. However, you don't have the batting in a cartomizer to mute the flavor - tastes quite a bit like a dripping atty.. bet you can use it for that too.

It's occurred to me that maybe my quick, short posts might seem rude, like I can't be bothered or something. I hope not!

So, I finally bought Light Head Magnifying Glass 4 Magnifications

I had already bought some cotton pads and kanthal and a little SS mesh. But, still don't have any kind of torch for oxidizing or any cotton yarn or crochet thread.

Although I'm still not sure where to buy the RIGHT kind of yarn and embroidery thread, the unbleached? I can find lots of colored stuff. Would just plain white work? I can find that ok.

Your short posts are not rude at all - keep 'em coming!

I used a pair of those headset magnifiers for a number of years. The work well and you can even put more than 1 of the lens in place to tune it for your eyesight and the working distance from you eyes to whatever you're doing. The light doesn't work all that well and the batts make it a bit heavy to wear (at least for me). So I never really used the light.

Bed Bath and Beyond has a reasonably priced creme-broulee torch. I have one and it works well.

Peaches & Cream cotton yard is a popular brand and some Walmarts carry it. Aunt Lydia's embroidery bamboo embroidary yarn is another popular choice. I couldn't find it in any local B&M stores so I order it from some on-line merchant.

Another question here - did you consider/look at the Killer and if so what made you go with the Diver?

DH, not at all! We all get da 'blues' or 'drag ....' at times. It's great that we can look out for each other and notice when a 'porch mate' hasn't checked in lately.

Speakin' of... SEMI!!!

I applied at the local community college for either a maintenance tech, or security guard. If I get wither of the jobs, they are a "tobacco free" campus. So...........I ordered an IBTanked 19mm, and will use it with my Twists. That way, I think I can keep it concealed somewhat. I will of course, be candid about when to use it, and mix some unflavored juice.

The tank comes with a thingy. Can't wait to play with it!

OK, just to keep us on dis side o' da fence:

Da Sigelei Kick clone is working as advertised on my Sigelei #20! I have it near maxed with a DCT and so far, so good. Using an 18350 batt, I've vaped off & on now for two days. I know I'm slackin' in dat I haven't done a green to checkered flag batt test. Just too many issues at dis time. In fact I missed out on da VapeStock gathering this weekend... bummer!

At $15 pre-ordered, no regrets here! Vapor Joes has 'em listed for $19.95 now at White Stag (where I got my two). Sure 'kicks' da poop outta da orig Kick price!

Would I recommend one? Only if you're a vapin' geek without a VW PV and want to VW a mechanical PV. It is a stacked (not related to Mike's post) two circuit board device which has obviously been superseded with da newer VV/VW capable PVs.

Just gotta say again for da nth time, luv dis lil #20! Still hoping for a rebuildable switch assembly fer it...

I thought about the killer, but you adjust the airflow by raising and lowering the tank. With the diver, you just make sure the hole is between the wicks and not blocked by them and it works. You can get down to the dregs by lifting the tank a bit too. It's more expensive, but less fiddling once it's put together. It's a personal choice.

Thanks Tumble for the heads up on where the smoke shop is.
I'll be sure to let you know, love to meet you.
We shouldn't have any problem finding each other ... the only two ol'hipsters in the place

Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I just grab the coil with a pair of pliers, and "torch" it with my old cigarette lighter.
I figured it works ok, cause it sure gets red hot.

Thanks for the details, Ken. The Diver is a beauty, and a great idea!

Mike, sorry I ask the same questions again sometimes. I do save a lot of your posts so that I won't have to keep asking. But, sometimes I have CRS and have no idea WHERE I saved them.

Thank you for always welcoming me back after my constant periods of being too 'overwhelmed' by life to form any coherent or useful thoughts.

I vape unflavored in the bathroom at work. As long as no one actually sees you do it, the vapor is gone in seconds and no tell-tale smell. It's great!

Cranky? I'm CRANKY? Humpfff! Cranky, she says.

Did y'all know that Older folks are cranky and want simplicity. Yep, that's what the younger folks are saying over in the 'are younger folks more receptive to e-cigs' thread. I am waiting for an Iffyism to set them straight. :D

Not long before I retired, a younger person sent a resume to our company. He used U for you, Gr8, and a few other text slangs. He was not hired, to say the least.

Had to high five this one since I couldn't like it about a million times. I'm as hick and country as they come and I type like I talk, but it drives me nuts when a person doesn't act professional at their job.....particularly when applying for one! When he was in HS my son was going to apply at our local grocery store. He had jeans and a Tshirt on. I told him, newp....you go put on black slacks, shirt and a tie. He said he was only going to drop off the application, so it didn't matter. I made him do it my way. When he got to the store and gave the asst mgr his application and the small resume I'd had him do, she was so impressed she walked his application straight to the mgr and he was hired the next day. She said she was so sick of kids coming in wearing jeans and a tshirt. lol

Just as long as Jimmy Buffet doesn't show up...
thumbsup.gif

ETA: If Santana shows up, I'll swoon; aka have da 'vapors' (how 'bout dat for a really ol' time reference).

No Jimmy Buffet??? I might hafta fall outta love with you now dangit! lol (totally j/k on dat one) I was gonna rush to your aid with a fainting couch and some smelling salts, but now I might just let ya lay there! hehehe

My last order from Fast Tech arrived in San Francisco in one day from Hong Kong. It then took 5 days to crawl to Ohio.

I lived in Ohio for 17 years, and I don't blame it for not wanting to go there. lol

One more for Yiddle. And one more for Tx

Wowsy wowsy wooo wooo I have been thinking of trying the protank, but not being able to use my own drip tip really really bugs me! If you're still really liking this, no leaks etc in a few days, I may have to grab one of these! Thanks for sharing that!!

Smoked since I was 15. Tried vaping a few years ago with the Njoy crap and it didn't work out. Started again a couple of weeks ago with a couple of mods, an MVP and a Vamo and am loving it. Down from three packs a day to about two packs a week and expect to be totally off of them in about another week, maybe tomorrow as the one cig I had tonight tasted like crap.

Welcome, and wahooooooooo to you!!!!

Just another little note on the dregs.....my favorite juice holder doesn't turn the juice dark and doesn't turn it into sludge. The bottom of the tank is just as good as the beginning. ;)

Jup, the splitfires are great for that! I know I just sound like a fan girl, but I recently ran out of my gotvapes flux juice, and I used a pineapple upside down cake juice from vapedudes. I was shocked at how quickly the dudes juice got gunky. I have been super super pleased with the flux juices! I can go 5-6 tanks in my vivi before it even begins to turn a bit darker. And then it's still nowhere near what that dude juice was like.

It would be cool to meet someone in person from this thread!:)

Jup it would! whatever happened to the Tx party we were plannin last year?? :) So kewl that ya got to a B&M and meet some other vapers too. Closest one to me is about an hour. Hopefully soon I can talk my SIL into goin up there with me.

And on the "Are you really THAT dumb" section... The leaking out the bottom hole and gurgling is a whole other issue NOT related to the now unwarped one, and does it on the metal AND the other plastic one, doesn't seem to matter. Back to carto tanks for me...sigh....

Just when I was certain that a vivi nova couldn't do that if it tried, mine did. Not just one, but two of em. I think I just overfilled em and some juice went down the center coil. Cleaned em up, tried again making sure not to get the juice level too high (touching the silicone cap thingy) and both of em have been working great again. could that have been the issue?

But, sometimes I have CRS and have no idea WHERE I saved them.

Thank you for always welcoming me back after my constant periods of being too 'overwhelmed' by life to form any coherent or useful thoughts.

There are a bunch of us that have the same issues, and the ones who don't.....God gave em some extra doses of patience and understanding to deal with us. I used to be able to read and follow instructions, but jigglin my brain around, constant pain etc has somehow reduced that ability to being the exception rather than the rule these days. So don't feel alone and most definitely don't feel like a burden!!

Not in vapemail.......the only thing I'm waitin on is the courage and brain cells needed to attempt building a coil for the AGI that I won. Gotta go back and actually read a lot of the posts that I skimmed over. lol It came with silica wick and some mesh, so I have lots of stuff that I can get in serious trouble with. lol
