I am currently using 18 mg nicotine. Would 100mg nic be the most economical way to purchase nic base? I am fully aware of the hazards and feel quite capable in my abilities to exercise extreme caution while utilizing a potent chemical.

Just kidding but didn't it sound good? Is it the cheapest way to make juice? And what is the easiest to use with most recipes. Thanks for your help.

Dat's da first time I heard of anyone liking da BC as a stand alone. TBH, I've never ordered any. Enjoy!

It is very sweet but does have a good flavor. I don't know that I would want to vape much of it all by itself but hey far be it for me to tell him what he can vape. I just figured it would take the rough edges off of some of the flavors we already have. Most of what I have mixed up have been single flavor and predominately fruit flavors so it has been very easy. I have a fair amount of coffee flavors that I tend to favor so I haven't tried to mix any of them so far.:vapor:

IIRC, Pony Express did NOT use S&H Green!
heh, but they did use C.O.D. !!

I got some vapemail today that I thought was lost. It was a Sigelei Kick that I got from a Co-op. I had checked tracking and it was supposedly delivered on the 14th so I figured the mailman had left it at the wrong house or someone took it off my porch. Turns out it was in a very small envelope and was in the bottom of the mailbox. My daughter found it when she brought my mail in for me.
heh - gotta check the whole mailbox, not just the top!!!

I use LIQUIX on my iPad, but if you don't have an iPad or iPhone, I'm aware that there are ones that work on android.
other than that, I recommend using what you are comfortable with.
with the flavoring, start at 3% and work your way up... you can always add more, but it's hard to add less.

Mike, ya had da easy side o' da business. Being da eldest son, it was my responsibility to 'lick, stick and fill' dose lil' cursed books from Hades!!!!!

Thanks for the mental image, Iffy! I bet you were so cute licking all those stamps!

Iffy said:
And to Hades is where ya would have been condemned if ya told my lil' Mom that ya were outta S&H or da yellow Top Value stamps! I 'member once that she had a manager write out an IOU due to a trading stamp outage. Oh, and yeah, she also demanded a 10% 'apology' add on. Yepper, she got it too!

My grandmother didn't seem the same on the surface. She was extremely reserved and soft-spoken. And only 5'2''. But, she had a very commanding personality. She definitely got what she wanted.

Oh, I guess I should explain. My grandmother and mother raised us together. My mother was my father-figure. My grandmother was my mother-figure. And, she was most definitely in charge!

I got our first set of silverware and dishes with green stamps!

Deja vu!

Don't remember ever not having a refrigerator though, but Mike still sometimes refers to the fridge as the ice box. And EVERYONE smoked back then. it's no wonder so many kids started smoking so early. Back then it was weird if you didn't smoke!

Never had an ice box, but have seen one in use. And, there were big, ceramic ashtrays everywhere! Along with those big lighters sitting on everyone's coffee table. I always figured that's what coffee tables were for. And, it must have been. How often do you see coffee tables anymore?

I still have that old yellow step chair and one of my sisters took mom's card table and chairs home when she passed away.

The old yellow stepchair was retired just a few years ago. It had become too rickety and dangerous. But, the card table is still sitting in my grandmother's garage awaiting it's certain doom. It's been sitting in the garage/smoking area for a few years and no longer has it's vinyl covering on the top. So sad.

I ordered last week from FT so will have to wait forever again. At least it seems like forever. I have a knack for selecting the things that "will ship in 5 days." Liked the Vamo so much I decided to order a V3, then the Omega jumped onto my screen and called out to me, but the KTS looked good too and since I couldn't really decide between the two of them... Good thing I am DIYing juice now days, cuz the vape mail needs to be done for the month!:mail:

Sounds familiar. It's too hard to decide! So, I either buy both or, if I can't afford to buy both, I buy nothing. But, it's going to be like Christmas when they finally arrive!!!

Actually, the last trip to Europe my bank recommended that I not get travelers cheques because they said that people don't like to accept them now because with the newer printers it is too easy to fake them. I would think that money orders would be about the same as far as fakes go. That should make life more difficult for us all.:?:

There is such a thing as check by mail or using a credit card over the phone. That may become the new way, who knows?

100 mg Nic is the most economical and is easier to fit in the freezer. I haven't had the courage for it though. I buy 48 mg. That's the most trust I can muster in my own ability to be cautious.

Wow! Just sitting here beside him while he is vaping that stuff, it smells so sweet it is almost unpleasant! Brings the word cloying to mind. With luck it will be one of the kind he gets over liking fairly quickly but he does like sweets a lot.

I cannot tell a lie, I am old fashioned and still have my coffee table. It proves one of Murphey's laws... a horizontal surface will soon be covered over!

I saw those old step chairs in a catalog just a few months back and believe it or not the are $100. I think everyone in the family has/had one and they all came from the stamp stores.

Bruce got an 8 pack of 900mAh egos and an ego V9 (that should be interesting, I don't see any real instruction on them anywhere so it will be trial and error.) For about the same I got the Vamo V3, the Omega and the KTS. Yes, it will be like Christmas around here when it comes in. I will have a horrible time deciding which one to use first. I have looked about every place I can think of and haven't found much on the V9, anyone have any ideas on that one? :rickroll:

I don't imagine it will be nearly as hard on us over 50s as it would be on the youngsters. We have all waited on checks to clear and packages to arrive. I think it will make my kids nutty if it happens though!

You might ask on the Fast Tech thread. I haven't heard anything about it yet.

According to Fast Tech, the V9 takes 2*16340 batteries. So, it takes stacked batteries?

But, all that really matters is: What color did you get?

Hey, Tex! Can I borrow your magic mailbox?

I always put my hand in to check all the way to the back. And, every time I do it, I think of a movie I saw where someone had put a poisonous snake in someone's mailbox!

I just never expected that small of an envelope. It was a homemade envelope about 3 by 3 inch. It is a small vertical mailbox on my porch and usually all I get in the box are letters and they stick up so I can see them so I had been grabbing my mail out everyday for a week with it stuck at the bottom. I had given up on ever getting it so I was pleasantly surprised.:)

He likes the red. He wanted blue when I first told him about it but when he saw it he kind of changed his mind... guys can be funny that way. No doubt, he figured it would get dirty when he was out and about... I found a couple of you tube but my spanish wasn't good enough for the one and the other just showed someone clicking through the settings, not explaining the what and who of it all. I guess I will have to hope the manual is a good one. Yeah, right, I should count on that huh!

I would caution people to be careful about using the term "e-juice" or "smoke-juice" around little ones. My great-grandkids visit me frequently. The 2 y/o is at the stage of non-stop asking "what's that?" (and I do mean NON-STOP!), and her 3 y/o brother is Mr. Grabby Hands. Being a dripper, I keep my little bottles of nico-liquid close at hand. To make sure they aren't tempted to sneak a taste of my "juice", I answer "what's that?" with "That's Nanny's yucky, yucky nico medicine."

Juice is something little ones LOVE, and even if we keep a close eye on it (and kids), they can be pretty sneaky and fast. No sense tempting them!

Not worried about kids anymore, but with 5 cats (the main culprits) 5 dogs and 2 birds, got to watch out for animals too. :thumb:

BTW, what a "cutie" in your avatar. Just precious.:)

Hiya Rat2

If your buying 100mg, and using 18% in your recipes, cut it in half.
I say half because if you make a recipe using a flavor percentage over 15%, it won't work out below a 70PG/30VG mix.
So if you like more VG, you need room to play with it in the recipe.
I'm assuming your buying you nic in 100% PG.
If you only use 5-10% flavoring, then you can cut it to 36mg.
But, it's easier math wise to just split it in half.

I cut mine to 3 times my desired end percentage.
Most of the recipes I make, I'm using 17- 20% flavoring (don't ask)
If I don't keep my base mg high, I won't have room to dilute it.
It's easier to add more PG or VG at the time of making the recipe.
Otherwise, I have to stay in the 80PG/20VG range, and I like room to alter the recipe.
My base mg is in 100% PG, and then I dilute with VG (and more PG if needed.)
It all depends on:
1- what your base is composed of
2- how much your going to dilute it
3- what you use to dilute
But if I were you, I'd cut my base to at least double what you want it to come out at (you 18%)
18+18 is 36, so I'd just cut it in half to 50mg. That way you have some leeway
It's pretty much a guessing game, ...and getting it to work out on e-juice me up.

If you order your base nic in a combo of PG and VG, You've lost me ...
I'm a KISS ( Keep It Simple Stupid ) person.
Have fun

Can you freeze your nic base in the containers that WL ships? I've read dark glass is best but they are such nice containers. Maybe put them in one of those soft insulated lunch boxes. Hmmmmmm? What ya'll think?

It's best to store them in glass. You can always wash out the WL container and use if for something else.

Since you've got 100 mg/ml, you should store it in 60 ml amber glass bottles. That way, when you pull it out of the freezer to use, you'll have enough to make about 333 ml of final product. Hmmm, maybe you should store it in 30 ml amber bottles instead and make just 150 ml of e-juice at a time?

You could cut the strength down first if you want. I would, only because I'm scared of 100 mg/ml in the first place. Just remember, the more you cut it at the beginning, the less room you have for variation later.

Thank you so much for the answer that I could actually understand. The first time I bought nic it was 36mg nic in pg, and I added the same amount of vg. Hence, 240 ml of unflavored 18mg nic juice. With this I have been adding several flavors at 20%. Simple flavors like peppermint, menthol, peach and lots of Koolada. I made my menthol in 50/50 crystals and Everclear and have been pleased with that because it adds TH when I drop 2 drops in an atomizer. This time when I order my nic I think I will leave it separate so I can follow some of the wonder recipes I've collected. Thanks so much for your help. I'm just trying to do this as inexpensive as possible. I bet this is why I have been having "issues" with all the e-juice calculators. Thanks.View attachment 234214

Yes, that is the one. I had seen that video, I suspect the person making it didn't speak English because not one word is said through out the video. I am wondering about the settings, it has some odd read outs during the video. The other one I saw is entirely in Spanish and mine is very rusty and has always been for working cattle, cooking and cleaning. I never had to try and understand volts, ohms and watts before! Thank you for looking for one though, I appreciate it!
