I will, thank you (re the charger).

Okay - Don't cringe or yell at me about how much I smoke, lol... I tested out the Swig tonight. Fully charged it up, and went to the pub and did my usual thing. An hour and half later the battery was on red telling me it needed recharging. And the puff counter was at 95. So at 12 to 15 puffs a cigarette, that's 8 ciggys in an hour and a half - or chain smoking, which is what I used to do (okay, this experiment is frightening me). It's a 14500 700 mah battery. So that's roughly 1 ciggy for every 100 mah. So I'd need a 4000 mah battery to last me through one day. I don't think they make those. Someone say something nice because this is really freaking me out, lol...

Edit - On Amazon prime they have two 4000 mah batteries for like 7 dollars, but they are 18650 size, so I'd need a bigger PV holder...

Edit No. II - Interesting side-note, the battery has fully re-charged in just under 45 minutes...

Edit No. III - Can you put ANY size/number amh battery in any holder (PV) as long as it is the correct physical dimensions to fit the holder?

I'm giving thought once again to a mech .. someone has this on eBay

Brand New Sigelei Telescope Mechanical Mod Stainless Steel Zmax | eBay

the price looks good .. ??

Ooooh. Price looks suspicious. I'd hate for you to shell out good bucks for something that's not real. Mike bought ours on a co-op and he paid like $45. I'm not sure what to tell you Willie. Mike does the buying of our devices once I got beyond the Riders (and I still use those). But you know, once you make up your mind on what you want, we've got some supper shoppers on this thread who I'm sure would be more than happy to alert you to a good price.

OK .. what I want is a mech that looks good, batteries that are not cheap junk and a charger .. and I don't want something huge that looks like I'm compensating for something 8-o.. I'll likely use it some, but it's more about insurance in a worst case scenario .. I still like my VV batts ..

Please, do yourself a favor and stay away from Ultrafire, Trustfire, and Generic batteries.

That said - yes for example - you can use IMR high drain batts from eFest, AW, Panasonic, Sony, etc. (good solid name brands) and select one w/ a higher mAh rating and as long as it's the correct size, like 18650 for an 18650 size PV you can select the higher mAh one.

I know this is a silly question, but.................in a mod if you use a "kick" do you still have to use protected batteries? I'm not even sure if I am asking the question right. heehee But keep in mind, I don't ask as many silly questions as I once did so I think I'm improving. heehee

no. the kick provides the protection.

no one should be using protected batteries, really, anymore. IMR batteries have safer chemistry and are, in fact, safer than old-style protected batteries.

Just so I have this right in my head.............with a kick I could use the same battery (18650 or 18350 unprotected) that I use in my pv in a mod like a Sigelei #19.

Thank you so much for the help.

yes and no. most mods that normally use an 18650 can be used with a kick and an 18490 or 18500. if the mod normally uses 18490 you can use a kick with an 18350. a few mods have extra tubes avail that allow you to usee a kick with an 18650 but they aren't many.

i bought a couple and used them a while alongside the original kick. they seemed to work fine, although i didn't fiddle much with the wattage on either them or the original kick. the two big differences are the original goes up to 15w and these to12w and the original has a conformal coating to prevent accidental shorts (i didn't have a problem).

there's a few posts on ecf that address this- here's one http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/warhawk-avg/5294-bum-kick-due-soldering.html

Ergo why I got a telescopic mech, no extra tubes to keep track of. With da exception of da 18650, all da others batts fit with a Kick.

What do you think about these? Good reviews and price.

I bought two of those early last year. I like 'em. No issues thus far. Glad to see da price went down a few dollars.

yup. telescoping makes it much easier.

somebody used to sell a Vamo extension tube, which would also fit a K-100, allowing you to kick a k-100 with an 18650.
