They had to change the name to HS echo because of some name conflict. Some suppliers did change the name and some didn't so you will see them listed both ways but they are the same carto made by Hangsen.
Ya just had to tempt me, didn't ya?? I just ordered one for no good reason other than I like the shape and I have the batteries already. Now I'll have to learn about VV vaping. I'll also have to get a bigger desk

I got some blank Boge 808 cartos.
Im not sure if its a bad batch or me or ...???
I now have 2 that just don't work. They worked for a bit and even though there is ejuice an a well changed batter , you can suck your lungs inside out and no Vapor
I have a 3rd one that started off good but is starting to do the same thing.
Least when I rolled one too tight I could still suck hard enough to get smoke.
Standard Volt battery, I have the 5 caros that came with the Volt I have refilled a couple of them about 7 time no issue the other 3 I have filled 2 or so times and no problem.
Just wondering if there is something I need to do with the Boge
3 of them have Dr. Pepper mix and 2 have tobacco 555/ my alerations.

Are you sure your cartos didn't leak onto the battery? If it floods you won't get vapor. Try making sure the battery is good and dry and also the end of your carto. Are you able to suck any air through the carto?
This is why I get confused.The echo is an automatic battery and has 808d threads and the smoktek ego is a manual battery with 510 threads. It is easy to get confused with all the different types out there and is one of the reasons for this thread. I've been on ecf almost everyday for 2 1/2 years and it is still confusing sometimes for me. lol It can be mind boggling for new vapers and especially us older folks. I try to stay up on all the latest stuff but it is impossible to be up to date on everything. I have tried most of the different types of cartos and battery setups
The smoktek ego you have is basically the same as the ego, Riva and kgo batteries. Anything from 650 up to 1300 mah are called fat bats and most have 510 threads but some have 808d threading like the echo, volt, igo and vgo. The Go-Go has proprietary threads which means only go-go cartos will work on them unless you use an adapter. Some have cone threads and some have straight threading so you need to know the difference when buying cartos but there are adapters for all the different connections.
Your 900 ST ego is a good choice and should work good for you. Being as it has 510 ego threads it will allow you to try most new cartos that come out without using an adapter.

Yeah that is a shop in China. They are liable to say anything. That is an Echo-e and has an ego connection. All the US suppliers will call them echo-e. Not to confuse you anymore but there is also an echo-v carto. It has 808d connection but with a skirt like an ego. A regular echo is an automatic and uses a straight 808d connection.

I did check the carto and battery at the connector and wiped good. No change
3 of them I filled yesterday and they had be working fine. I made sure that there is juice in them.
Air flows thru no problem
If I draw ever so lightly and make 4 second draws I can get some vap, but just a little and only the first time or two.
I rewiped the cartos and still no go. One I used yesterday and it worked fine but not now.
I did notice they seemed to get hotter than the ones from Smokeless Images.
1 has some RY4 the other 4 have various iterations of the Dr Pepper juice .
Just seemed odd that they all are behaving about the same while the original ones even with 6 and 7 fills are doing great.

I would appreciate a quick run down on advantages of variable voltage mods and what kind of attachments to try. What's a good sample of resistances to go with? Thanks in advance.

It's just possible you got some bad ones. Although I've been through many-many Boge carto's and only 1 didn't vape properly from the git-go. It was like you describe - you could draw through it but no vapor. It was the 1st one out of a new box. I didn't even try the other 4 in the box.
If you stingy about your juice you can save a few drops by doing a reverse "taryn spin" to get the juice out of the carto. Put a condom on to the tip end just far enough to stay on. Then put it in a sock and spin the sock around your head. It will force the juice into the condom.
Well, VV vaping lets you "tune in" your vape. It allows you to change the voltage, therefore allowing you a warmer or cooler vape. A higher voltage will give you a much warmer vape, and the reverse is also true. Some juices will taste better with a change in voltage.
A true VV mod is not designed for lr cartos or atties, although they can be used. I use a 3.0 ohm Boge carto in a carto tank, and I vape around 5.5-5.7V because I like a very warm vape most of the time. IMO, most folks would be happy around 5V. Everyone's different, and you can be in different moods from time to time. VV vaping allows you to switch it up a bit when you want to.

I sounds like you ending up with a bad box of Boges. I hate when that happens.
You can save your juice. If you have a syringe you can pull the filler out of the cartos, put it in the syringe and squeeze the juice back into a bottle. I have been known to do it this way when I know that the juice is still fresh.
