If I was home in GA, no problem as I have 3 boxes of Resurrectors on the shelf. I hate to carry a suitcase full of vaping supplies with me but that looks like the future...

Wether I leave home for a day or a weekend, I take 3 times the amount of juice, PV's and batts with me that I'll think I need. I don't leave the house with just a primary and backup. In my past job-life we always went 3 deep for redundancy of critical systems. I treat my PV equipment the same - any of it no matter how high the quality can fail - and will fail at the most inopportune time. In my day bag I'll take 2 extra PV's, extra batts, extra atty, extra drip tip, and 2 or 3 bottle of juice. Oh - and I have my primary PV in my pocket. I don't want to risk being 'without' and be tempted to buy a pack of smokes - ever!. :vapor:

Yep, but I do not want to go back so Catch 22...

I have a delimna coming up in a few months. I am going to be traveling overseas for 3 - 4 months and there is no way I can carry a 3+ month supply of juice on an airplane and the area I am going to is so far out in the boonies that PG/VG much less nic will not be available. I can mail some nic/PG/VG to myself there, but I do not know how it will hold up in a box for 2-3 months (length of shipping) at 85+ degree temps... After it gets there I can put it in a freezer or fridge, but just do not know if it will hold up through the shipping... My plan is to try and cross my fingers. I plan on building a two inch thick styro container for the nic to ship it in and it will be surrounded by clothes and other stuff to boot... So far it is the best solution I can try and then just cross my fingers.

They sell small plastic containers used for travel to carry things like shampoo, conditioner, etc. Put your juice in something like that, throw it in your shaving kit, and go (checked luggage - not carry on). Juice that smells good would be a plus, and I doubt very seriously that anyone would taste it or pay much attention to it. There's certainly nothing illegal about this as far as I know. There wouldn't be anything dangerous about it either unless someone decided to drink the whole bottle.

I normally have backups of backups with me as well. This was a last minute decision as I was planning to stay in GA this weekend. Lesson learned. My son had a 510 shorty extension and it appears to work easing the draw issue. I also noticed the notches on top of my new KGO batteries are shallower than "normal" so I hit them with a jewelers file. Just looked and my new goodies from Gotvapes (Fluxomizers & ViVi Nova tanks) will be in the mailbox Monday. If the Nova is everything I read about it, perhaps vaping can be simplified...

The Nova tanks have worked real good for me so far. I'm also liking the Apollo tank a lot they are very similar. The thing I like about the Nova is the sealed bottom that prevents leaking. I hate leaking worse than dry hits. There have been a few reports of the Apollo leaking but mine hasn't leaked a drop in five refills.

I've taken my Lava Tube through several times and no one has blinked. Last time I had about five PV's and no problem at all. I guess it all depends on the airport.
:tumble:
That's good to know. This was the first time the
wife and I traveled with vaping stuff. And was thinking we might drive from now on!

Hello out there in Gerivapor Land. This topic is very timely for me. We are going on our first day trip since I started vaping. We'll be 1.5 hrs. from home and I'm considering putting the trailer hitch cargo platform on the car to carry my gear :D

I'm with NGIB re: the inconsistent quality of vaping products. I have two differtent 18350 batteries here and they are both longer than "normal" and one is longer than the other. I had a TGo battery self destruct (stayed on) in my pocket and the entire kit went back for refund.

It's understandable that $2 cartos may come with no guarantee but some of the pricier hardware should work. If not, it should be replaced at no cost to us and the vendors should take it up with the suppliers. I guess the answer is to ask questions before the purchase and to buy from vendors that stand behind the products.

Many of the vendors stand behind their products very well. There are some that offer two and three month warranties on batts and PV's and that is a valid and non argueable type of warranty. Liberty Flights sent me a replacement once with bonus stuff for the inconvenience. Smokeless Image had a replacement in the mail within two hours of me making the email notifying them... Very responsive and fast from these two at least...

This is the area that I'm most disappointed about the vaping industry, the inconsistent quality. I've been lucky with my batteries and PVs so far, but things like getting the right resistance of cartos and juices that go from great to terrible from one order to the next just drives me crazy.

I bought a box of LR cartos and ended up with 3.0 ohm, there was no labeling on the box so how was the vendor supposed to know. I can deal with it because I can adjust the voltage to accommodate for it, but should I have to? What about the noob who has a 3.3 Volt eGo and gets the a 3.0 ohm carto by mistake, it would be an instant turn off to them.

It's a shame that we've come to expect that 1 or 2 cartos out of a box of 5 will be bad when we buy them. I've had one box that all of them were good and it felt like I won the lottery! It shouldn't be like this, expecting 20% to 40% failure rates is not acceptable.

Sorry if this sounds like a rant, I love vaping and it's done me a world of good, but the industry itself is just inviting the government to get involved in regulation.

Hope you made it through NGIB. That really stinks. I don't like filler cartos at all, but that's a very good point wendal made about carrying a few Boges as you don't have to worry about things like that. I am so glad I found vaping, but that is the one thing that I intensely dislike about it is that we're getting everything from China where there is no QC, and we have no idea really what materials they're using, but they're known for using hazardous ones. I agree we shouldn't have to expect that a certain percentage simply won't work, but for now that's the nature of the beast. I'm sure if someone would start making everything here and do it right, they'd have more business than they knew what to do with. I'm sure most all of us would rather pay a quality company more per item and be reasonably sure the items would work.

I'm just getting to the bottom of my first fill on the Apollo....hasn't leaked a drop. My only negative (and it's no big deal) is figuring out when it's almost empty....assume that will be easier after getting there the first time). Also using one of the new V2.5 Vivi Novas...it is performing very well.

:evil:Hi everyone!
I smoked for over 40 years and now have been smoke free for 1 week and 1 day, and don't ever want to smoke again. My kids are happy, my Grandkids are happy, and I'm soooo happy. I've tried everything thats on the market for stop smoking and Vaping has worked for me.
Have a great day.
On a DCT twist.
