Well, being a die-hard 808 user, I thought I'd step out of my comfort zone and try for the Ego T........guess providence said no cause they are sold out. I vowed I'd never tread waters in the 510 world, but here I am......and feeling the excitement I usually do when getting new vaping gear.

Bought 2 X2s in black and also got two wraps cause black is just too....well, basic.........love some bling.

Also got 3 Go-Go tanks from Cig Easy, so I think I'm set for my trip in a couple of weeks. Oh no, that's in a little over a week......OY!

It uses regular 18650 batteries. The one included is a SmokTech but I'm sure most will fit. I'll measure the length when I get back to GA (where my calipers are). I'll probably pick up a couple of the Panasonic's from Orbtronic as Sailorman speaks really highly of them...

Howdy y'all

NGIB would you mind linking the specific ones, this is the mod I'm recommending for my SIL.

Fresh out of the noob pool but I am here despite 47 years of smoking plus 5 years of working in tobacco fields and going to school in the fall with what I know now was withdrawal symptoms.
My first day of first grade I spent in the principles office for committing defenestration with a student who cut in line ahead of me. I was a big kid and the elementary school windows are about calf height now... But starting smoking at ten cured my problem... And led me to the place I am today. Battling a lifelong addiction.

Started with a blu from the drugstore then ordered a starter 808 kit from smoovcigs. I know I am going to move into more intricate toys since I have nearly everything else that can be put into a usb port already. Just ordered a vv passthrough from DV since I am never more than 5 feet from a computer unless I am asleep.

I have been vaping for about a month and I feel better and can do 200% more yard work before I have to sit and rest.

My background is in computers and electronics and I have never owned anything with a plug or battery that I did not take apart to see how it worked.

I tried to read this whole thread but gave up at page 88 or so and just started skipping ahead ..

So here I am at both the beginning and the end of a virtual journey. As soon as I quit buying toys Juice and DIY equipment, I figure I will start saving around 600.00 a month :)

80.00 per ctn in WA state with the add on taxes.

Welcome to the most awesome crew around! This is the thread for PV related info, and we also have 2 more chatty, (almost) anything goes threads (we even have 2 moderators we're corrupting, LOL) at Mature Vapers or Older people 55 and up You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll question the meaning of sanity. They are long, but just browse through and see what amuses ya!

You have found salvation my friend, as you well know by now, congrats. However, good luck on that saving money biz! There is always some new gadget, gizmo, flavor, mod or awesome something or another that must be had! So I hear anyway...my budget keeps me out of that loop quite effectively. But it did, however, steer me toward the fine art of DIY, and that is a bonus much greater than just the costs involved. I love being able to get exactly what I want when I want it! Vaping often becomes a pretty involved hobby for a lot of people, which is cool because it becomes a focus to keep them from dwelling on the evil weed of the past.

I think it sucks that the only access the general public has to PV's are the Blu's and nJoys and other inferior crappy wanna be's. Why oh why can't some one with a little knowledge or insight stock a few EGO kits or something along those lines? If they saw how fast they would blow off the shelves just by word of mouth! Almost makes me want to do some freelance canvassing, if there is such a thing!

Okay, I'm rambling. Good luck and glad you are here! Happy vaping!

PS WHAT is your avatar???

Well, this place is just too friendly not to post!

I've been reading most of your posts for quite awhile now and since I am 72, I definitely fit into the category of 'older' folks!

I've been vaping since April '09 and with my first vape, I was sold. I have a friend in Altamonte Springs who was kind enough to let me experience vaping while at lunch one day. Of course I had to give the battery back to her after we were done eating!
I got in the car to go home and lit a cigarette and I couldn't finish it. It tasted so......dirty.....went home got online and ordered my kit. I had smoked those nasties since I was 22.......that's 47 years! OMGoodness, just typing that, it seems incredible.

I've been using 808s since the beginning, and I've been very satisfied. I get good t/h, good vapor and good flavor...at least most of the time. I know I'm probably in the minority when I say I love the 808s, but I like it simple sweet.
It was DonDaBoom who recommended the Volt last August, and have been using their products ever since.

Lately, I've been sort of peeking at all the other stuff that can be had, but I simply have too much 808 gear to switch, so when I bought the Phoenix, I did get adapters, and now am using the 808 Phoenix. They're OK, but I feel the flavors are a bit muted.

I'm waiting for SI to have their 30% sale tomorrow starting at 6pm and will get the newer X2. I have SIs clearomizers also, and while I love the style, it does have its weaknesses. Glad I only got three of them.

Oh wow, when I start yapping, I have a hard time stopping.........so, am stopping now!

Hi flowersoul, glad to have you! Congrats on finding vaping! I just wanted to mention if you like to chat with a crew of crazy vapers where the focus isn't just on vaping but on anything that come up, try our related threads: (see post #1587 in this thread for the blue links) We try to keep this one vaping related so they don't move it to the social forums where the new people can't find us.

Love that PV!

Ya might need to clean that laptop a bit though...I use a 50/50 mix of isopropyl alcohol and water in a spray bottle.
Also, don't use paper towels on a LCD, it's wood pulp and will scratch. Rags like an old cotten t-shirt are good. ;)

I kinda thought a lot of silliness was a good thing :D

Always!

Hey...has anyone tried the cherryvapes drip trips??? What makes them worth $8.00? Are they bigger or something???

I have one, it is a bit bigger, but is awesome.

Nice story follows:

I put an order in with a vendor only 1/2 hr from home. Got the order confirmation and shipping notice the day I ordered. It should have been here a day or so ago. I checked the USPS tracking number and status said it was delivered to NY. Yikes - I don't live in NY. Turns out the mailing label had my name & address followed by a street addr & town & ZIP in NY. I suppose the USPS processing machines scan from bottom-up so it went to NY.

I posted in the vendor's forum about the mistake and shortly after, I got a PM from the NY person saying he already mailed it to me and he was watching the vendor's forum for someone missing their order.

Ain't that just nice! I gave him a big thanks and told him how much I appreciated it.

I have #2, the Blue Cobalt.

I've got #2 & #8. I started w/ one to see what a couple extra bucks gets ya. I liked it and wound up getting another. Like Caf said, it's a bit bigger and I like how it feels in my mouth a little better than a standard 510 tip. I'm not fond of the Ming shape but like the ones in the picture.

I have the #1 and I haven't used it hardly at all since I got it back in January from Empire Mods. It had been sitting in a drawer until I read this thread and that prompted me to dig it out and try it again.

Really like the looks of it. Don't care for the way it feels in my mouth.

Back in the drawer it goes. Unless you would like it harleydiva? I would be happy to send it to you. There is really no point of having it sit in my drawer. :)

If you like that color, just PM me your address.
