Umm - you Gripper fans ... What do you think of the Ovale v8?
Is $25 a good price? Just curious as I've heard them chatted about quite a bit ...

I have a V8 but dropped it and broke the battery door. It works very good but I like the Gripper much better. The Gripper is a little thinner and more comfortable to vape with the fire button on the top instead of the front. Like the Gripper the battery compartment is the weak link. It uses 18350 batteries that have to be button tops. The AW IMR 18350's work good in it. The door is very hard to open but if you use a knife or credit card you can open it fairly easy.
It has a big bright red led display but doesn't show voltage of batteries or ohms. Voltage adjustments are easy and buttons work good. I used it a lot before I got my Gripper.
25.00 is a good price and well worth it. I have seen them on sale once for 20.00 at DV but that was the only time. I paid 35.00 with free shipping for my Gripper but I was lucky to find them at that price.

I was just going through my stash..and spotted it,Loaded up a tank..

OK, gotta ask, was it the extended steeping time OR are you vaping it on a diff device?

I've revisited several 'day-um, toss 'em out' flavs and was somewhat surprised with the taste. In retrospect, I truly think that the diff was the clearos as opposed to da atties/cartos/tanks.

I don't do 'bakky flavs, but have heard that steeping helps with those. I'll stay with my non-'bakky flavs and immediately vape away!

I sure am Fran, and my son came by today and likes it too! Right away he identified it as a tobacco flavors. Says it tastes like Red Man to him, which he says is sweet.

He likes the vaping, but doesn't feel the need to switch, at least not now. But he's one of those on and off smokers. When he decides he's done smoking, he just leaves the pack where ever and may not have another one for years, til he decides he wants to smoke again. I dunno how some people can do that LOL, but he's one of 'em.

It might be some of both..I first tryed it out of the mailbox,in a DCT..wasnt impressed
The DCT's have since been moved to the Zombie Apocalypse box
Its been sitting/steeping prolly about 5weeks..and this time vaped in a 2.4ohm Vivi Nova tank

Ive revisited some flavors..that will be passed on to victims..I mean friends

Ahhh, the mysterious Bobas! One of these years I am going to have to order me up some for 2 reasons: One of course to try it and finally satisfy my curiosity, and two, being a serious DIY'er, to try to emulate it with my own version if I do find I like it enough. I understand it is a tobacco based mix and I am not a fan, but I have also heard people say they didn't really taste the tobacco. It is really all the conflicting opinions that have my curiosity so high! The few times I did actually try to order it they were out, so I guess after all this time it is still a HOT item! To anyone who's ever tried it, wanna attempt to dissect the ingredients, or at least the ones that might have leapt out at you? I am soooo curious! LOL!

I can't thank you enough for the detailed instructions about adding the cotton to the T2!!!! I really appreciate your taking the time to explain it so well. You could have easily thought "get off your lazy duff and search for the answer", but you had mercy on lazy ole me. And I actually did search but didn't come across the instructions.

I recently tried my Boba's again too and finally cut the last bit of it loose to somebody who would appreciate it. Too bad I didn't know that Charlie would have liked to try it. Would have sent it her way. Charlie...if I ever get any more Boba's I promise it'll be coming your way!

Char, I'm the same way about Boba's and a few others. I've only tried one tobacco flavor and did not like it at all! But I'm really good with my fruits/bakery, so haven't felt a need to try others. But all the hype surrounding Boba's does make one curious. At some point when I find extra money layin around I'll likely try it. Plenty of folks I can pif it to if I don't like it, that's the good thing! lol

Have not tried it yet, but read somewhere were they said the secret ingredient was cola??? It is on my to try list. AVG just finished their move to a new facility and are back logged on tickets. Plus they said Boba's Bounty should be back online by the 13th.

Hey Gloria, Here is how I've done it on adding the cotton wick to T2's. I've done it 2 different ways.

I am looking forward to trying Mike's method with the cotton in two weeks as I have the week off work and no home projects....yet!

Okay, everyone besides me and you have tried it! LOL! Boy, they sure got quite a rep goin with some of their jooses huh? I remember one night after reading a thread about Bobas I had a stupid dream that I created a flavor and everyone who tried it loved it and kept telling me I should sell it, so I did. My whole company revolved around one single flavor that became world famous! LOL! I had to hire people because I couldn't keep up with the onslaught of orders. Well, all was good in my little dream world until one day I went to batch it and couldn't remember the recipe for nothing! Not one single flavor! I sat bolt upright in bed for real, wide awake now, trying to wrack my brain to figure it out, but it was gone, all gone! Gee, sorry world. And I'm always the one who says "write it down!" Sigh.

So far, the cotton yarn has been more to my liking. With the roll cotton, I got a definite cotton taste, but I may have made my wick too thick, so I plan to try it again. Both of them wicked great. I love having the really long wick down to the bottom of the tank/tube - no more rolling. I didn't really mind that, but now that I don't have to do it, I'm even happier. The cotton yarn doesn't seem to affect flavor one way or the other.

I hope I s'plained it ok.

I made one VN wick entirely from the cotton roll. The wick extended from the coil about as far as a long wicked Vivi Nova head. It was my least favorite of wicks taste wise. I only used it a few days before replacing it. Like you, I seemed to taste the cotton..
