OK I wanted to see if the T2,T3 and viva would vape better using an adaptor. The only 510 to 510 I have is a long one but that was needed for the T's to raise them above the body of my Ipro or so I thought anyway. I discovered that the Viva will screw onto the ego and also onto my Ipro. The T's screw onto the ego but they don't screw onto my Pro. How come the viva works on both when the T's don't.

Fran you need a 510 to ego adapter for those to work. You have to have the threads for the skirt. ;)

One of my longest lasting was bamboo yarn and a cotton overwick.

Still practicing my rebuilding skills on the volcano's as my Mini VvN's are still chugging along (2 months). I finished two this morning and found that I had to split the yarn into four strands as the coils were wrapped to tight to fit a single thread through even using a threader. One I was able to get 3 strands through and the other only 2 strands through. I did read about the BBB and used gauze for the BBB on the tops. Burned out the 2 thread after about 10 minutes. Not enough flow and toooo much chain vaping. The flavor started out really good and good vapor production. The second volcano with 3 strands is doing very well. Good vapor and flavor. Not sure about the gauze as a BBB but have not had any weird tastes yet.

I also attempted to stop the leaking in the tanks by cutting a 1 mm strip from pipe thread tape and placing it on the bottom threads of the tank. I did not find any threads that talked about using or not using pipe thread tape.

Now here is an idea I like!

Like the replaceable batteries! I was wondering how long it would be until they hit the market. I can not keep up with the speed at which new items are being churned out. Neither can my checking account!!

Keep up the good work MichaelB, you're learning what works and what doesn't.

You're doing better than me...I haven't even tried yet.

With ya , Fran! Da more I mess with the newer joose devices, da more I appreciate my ol' 1.5Ω dual coil cartos in a tank.

I'm with both of you....very simple here, just give me my little carto & tank & I'm a happy camper. I've got an inventory of new gidgees that just aren't for me - don't know if I should hoard them (apocalypse) or list them for sale. Oh well..let's see what comes out tomorrow.

OK, it's time for a lil' 'download time' (aka mini-rant)...

Just to sum up some of my recent and past vaping experiences, I HATE dry hits!!! That's it! Twix the eMDCCs early on and the DCTs that got me to this point, I've had some fabulous vapes.

But I am getting fatigued trying joo$e device$ with the mandatory mods in search of something 'better'. Yes, I've had some awesome flav and vapor moments, but nowhere near the consistency to which I'm accustomed. Will I continue the quest for the ultimate vape and spend more? Absolutely! Will I experiment with da 'latest & greatest'? Yepper, but I will no longer scour the ECF to find the 'mico-steps' to make a purse outta a sow's ear.

Currently, I'm vaping five VV PVs with three diff RBA/clearo/carto tank combos. Guess which one I'm converting back to? Da DCTs! Did I mention I HATE dry hits? I'll gladly replace a carto in a 'plugged' DCT over a dry hit any day!

If da Myans are correct, I do have the basic components/hardware to vape until the end and maybe a bit longer...

Did I mention that I HATE dry hits...

With all that said, don't let me discourage ya'll from being da (vapor)trail blazers, especially if you HATE dry hits!!!

well mostly that's true, but I have asked some dumb ones in my life! If that were really true.......Bill Engvall wouldn't have made so many folks laugh with his .....here's your sign jokes! lol

Janet they just barely stick out the sides on the ce3's at the bottom. Don't know if they're the silica or not but I think they are. They aren't big long wicks, just tiny lil things.

You're absolutely right Deb. We took the 3 ml bottom coil Phoenix apart and yep, there was a little wick in there. It doesn't stick out of the little holes at all so you can't see them. So now I know! Glad we had this discussion,

Sounds like I might be in the minority as far as the T3's go but I'm still really liking mine after using them pretty exclusively over the last five days. They are very comparable to the Vivi Nova which I also like a lot. It has been proved over and over again that what works for one vaper another vaper has an opposite experience.:)

Yepper, dry hits are as bad as lighting the wrong end of a filtered analog...yecchhhh!!!

I think the wick (any length) not only brings juice to the coil, but acts like a "plug" to keep the air passage from flooding. I suspect some of the variances in performance are due to changes in juice viscosity as it heats up and I think a BC device would heat the juice more than a TC device because of the direct effect of the coil plus the heated tube as the vapor passes thru it.

Heating probably has an effect on flavor. Viscosity changes probably have an impact on leaking. I wonder if the components of the juice separate when heated. Maybe the flavor doohickies are clinging to the walls of the tank because they are afraid of the hot coil.

Oops...gotta go. Wife says it's time for my hot chocolate and beddy-bye. More rambling later.

Hey, you're not alone. I checked with my neighbor and her husband is loving his T3. So far so good.

Yes, I guess that makes sense about the wick and the flooding. But the bc gives a cooler vape, I think because it cools as it goes through the tube. I do think the little molecules cling to the wick more than the PG or VG. When I start a new vivi I get tons of vape, but the flavor lags for at least a tankful. Then it comes through nicely. Those little flavor doohickies are very reluctant to jump on the coil and turn into vapor. In fact, cooking them like that makes them gunk up the coil after awhile. Somebody needs to invent a flavor doohickie that doesn't do that. That would solve a lot of problems!

That is good to hear Janet. I just got a couple of more in the mail so I will try some different juices and see how they work with them. I've only used it with menthol so far.

Yeah, he uses menthol too. Does that clog up like the fruit flavors do? We don't use menthol so I have no idea how that works with the wicks.
