I asked about flat top / button tops in the Health Cabin thread.
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/healthcabin/346279-new-hot-ego-variable-volt-watt-apv-back-stock-limited-supply-only-39-a-4.html#post7667351

Here's what was answered.

So now we don't know if the video is correct or the answer I was given. Or could a button top fit, but put increased pressure on the board when the spring compresses it?

I don't think the person at HC's is up to date on batteries. He might be thinking all buttontops are the protected ones that are longer. That being said another site said 18650's wouldn't fit and only stacked 18350's would work. I know many of the suppliers I deal with don't know much about PV's and batteries in particular. We probably won't know until someone on ecf gets one in their hand. I will probably be using mine mostly in the mini mode and use just one 18350 battery so I can have a VW pv I can stick in my pocket. 35.00 shipped for a VW is just too cheap for me to pass up even though I certainly don't need one. lol

Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to wait a bit anyway so hopefully they will clarify this in more detail.
(In Chinese, probably) Lol

Was the video posted in the co-op thread? Post 1 of the co-op thread does link to the same thread where I asked my question. I wonder if the one in the video could be a similar but not identical PV and actually takes both batt types.

It sure sounds like people are talking about 2 different PVs.

So, I just asked about flat tops / button tops over in the co-op thread. We'll see what else comes forward about it.

It appears that some 18650 batteries don't work without lengthing the spring or replacing it with a longer one.
I had that problem with my Indulgence and just stretched the spring a little and it worked fine.

Yikes! Big coils, big gunk. Anyone have a mini BBQ cleaning brush? No wonder my juice started tasting funky.

It's been a few months since I visited and I'm glad to report - nothing. I'm going on 8 months smoke free and vaping has become an afterthought - it's not something I think about it's just something I just do. I still carry 650 KGOs to work everyday and I still use Kanger T2's with aluminum tips. My daily juices are both from ECBlend - RY4 & Dragons Tear. I usually have a 3rd flavor I rotate and for a week or so it's been peanut butter cup.

For the newer folks here that don't remember me, I was like most noobs in that I spent a fortune the first couple of months on hardware - searching for the perfect gear. I tried VV in a few forms but when I discovered the T2's with 1.8 ohm heads I realized that KGOs worked perfectly for me. At home I use a Joye 18650 mod and still use a VTube occasionally as well as an Epower. I am saving money now over smoking in that I now buy only what I need. Once a month or so I buy juice in large bottles and supplies as I need them. Never really got into making my own juice as I have enough hobbies and ECBlend is priced reasonably and has great service.

Anyway, thought I'd drop in and say hi and let y'all know I'm still on the path...

EXCELLENT NG! 8 months!! It's so nice to find what makes you happy and the new stuff is there if you want something new, not because you need something new. Nice of you to stop by and let us know how you're doing.

Think I'll pass on that one. I just have no interest in using unprotected Li Ion batteries. HC needs to get a handle on what they are selling! No knowing that/if IMR batteries would fit is inexcusable!

Wow where does all the junk come from?

Juice splatter from incomplete complete vaporization. I fired it in that condition to see what was happening. You could actually see juice bubbling around each of the coil wraps and 'boiling' and 'throwing' splatter off the wick/coil. I suppose there was enough heat to 'boil' the juice but not enough to vaporize it properly/quickly. Once cleaned and fired - no more bubbling liquid, just vapor again.

Hey NGIB, good to see you. I, too, am still a T-2 fan but you gotta try a Kanger T3 Rebuildable Clearomizer - Clear. They hold a bit more juice, bottom coil makes them a bit cooler when vaping hard and the one I'm using right now has lasted me 3 days with no change in performance.

    Report back in three months.

The atomizer that I'm using ATM has been in use since June of 2011.

Good to hear from you NGIB and glad your gear is working good for you. Hang around here though and we will talk you into something new. :D I'm using T3's, Vivi Nova's and Splitfire's as my juice suppliers. I do like the T2's also but I haven't used any since I got T3's. There are lots of people that still prefer the T2 over the T3 though and the T2's are definately much cheaper in price.

Congrats NGIB!!! And I wouldn't use unprotected batteries. Remember safe is better than sorry!
